The next day Ronaldo and Vanessa were set to go to work when Ronaldo called Vanessa to tell her how much he loves her and that nothing was going to separate them, not even Leonard.


'We've come a long way to get separated from him (Leonard)" Vanessa rolled her eyes when she heard what Ronaldo said, because she knew it's impossible for Leonard to separate her from him.


'I know, so don't worry I will never do anything to hurt you and you know that, so don't worry" Vanessa said to Ronaldo. Ronaldo became calm when he heard what Vanessa said to him.


'I will also be at lunch with Maria so that I can keep an eye on Leonard," Ronaldo said to Vanessa.


'I know you don't have to stress yourself, I know what is best for me and it's definitely not Leonard" Vanessa said to Ronaldo in an assurance that nothing can ever make her go for Leonard.


'This dress looks so good on you" Ronaldo said to Vanessa as he stared at her in an adorable way.


'Thank you" Vanessa said to Ronaldo blushing.


They both looked at themselves and smiled at each other.


Then Vanessa heard her phone ring and reached for it, it was Leonard, she immediately picked the call.


'Hello sir" she said to Leonard who was on the phone call with her, wondering why he was calling.


'How are you Vanessa, hope you slept well" Leonard said to Vanessa in a caring tone.


'Yes I did," Vanessa replied to Leonard , who was still on the phone with her, still wondering why Leonard was calling.


'I called to check up on you and to remind you to dress pretty for lunch later today, I could still order a nice dress for you now if you don't mind," Leonard said to Vanessa in a soft tone.


'Thank you for checking up on me, I already told you that I have what to wear, Ronaldo bought me nice dresses so I can easily pick one to wear for lunch so you don't have to worry, I will be fine," Vanessa replied to Leonard in a sarcastic tone.


'Okay if you say so, you sound angry, hope you are not? Because I was trying to be nice I mean no bad" Leonard said to Vanessa wondering why she replied to him in such a sarcastic tone.


'I am not angry sir, thanks for your concern, am almost ready so I hope you should be ready as well" Vanessa said to Leonard in a calm way considering the fact that she replied him in a sarcastic tone the earlier and didn't want it to seem as though she was angry with him.


'Yes I am almost ready. I will soon be heading to the venue, so I hope to see you soon, and please don't be late," Leonard said to Vanessa, still in a caring tone.


'Okay I won't be late, see you later" Vanessa said to Leonard who was still on the phone call with her and she was feeling uncomfortable with the tone at which he was using to talk to her considering the fact she sounded sarcastic earlier.


'Okay see u later bye" Leonard said to Vanessa as he ended the call.


Vanessa looked at Ronaldo who was still at home in a confused way.


'What does he (Leonard) think of me? Does he think I will fall for him because of all the unnecessary phone calls and caring questions? He should just stop disturbing because I can't even tolerate this his character, he is just my boss so he will remain he can never be more, he is not my type, I don't even know why I took the job in the first place" Vanessa said confused as she was wondering why Leonard will call her for a reason not relating to their job.


'Vanessa, calm down, this will just last for a while. I will try and get another job for you. We can still search for a job elsewhere, you will be fine, don't worry, it's just for a while, so you don't need to worry. Ronaldo said to Vanessa to ease her a bit.


'But you know how hard it was for me to get this job, so getting another job won't be easy," Vanessa replied to Ronaldo.


'I know but the same way you got this you will get another job so don't worry" Ronaldo said, still trying to calm Vanessa.


'Thank you Ronaldo for all you do for me, I can't trade you for anything in this world ' Vanessa said to Ronaldo.


Ronaldo and Vanessa look at each other and smile.


Ronaldo and Vanessa got to the venue quite early and had to wait for Leonard, they decided to hang around while they waited for Leonard.


Few minutes later Ronaldo and Vanessa were sitting quietly when a pretty young lady who was a lady in the restaurant approached Vanessa and told him a young man said she should move to the VIP table.


'Me? Are you sure it's me you were asked to call? Or are you mistaking me for someone else?" Vanessa replied surprised, because she felt Leonard would inform them when he got to the venue.


Ronaldo looks around and sees Leonard standing at the entrance waiting for Vanessa to join him and move to the VIP table.


'It's Leonard," Ronaldo whispered to Vanessa's ear.


'How did you know?" Vanessa replied as she was wondering how Ronaldo knew it was Leonard.


'He's at the entrance staring at you" Ronaldo replied Vanessa pointing at the direction Leonard was standing.


'Okay" Vanessa said as she turned and saw Leonard standing at the entrance staring at her and smiling.


She placed her hand on her head in depression.


'Why is he staring at me like that?" Vanessa asked Ronaldo.


'Just join him and be good, it's just lunch and nothing more so be calm" Ronaldo said, trying to cover up the questions Vanessa asked him considering the fact that he doesn't have a good answer to the questions Vanessa asked.


'Okay see you later Ronaldo" Vanessa said as she stood up and joined Leonard.


Vanessa and Leonard move to the VIP tables and make themselves comfortable.


'Vanessa make your order" Leonard said to Vanessa as he tried to make her feel relaxed.


'I will just have fruit juice," Vanessa replied to Leonard.


'Okay, but why don't you order something else like; rice and turkey and something else, you can check the menu. They have nice dishes here, so feel free to make your order" Leonard said as he still tries to make Vanessa feel comfortable.

'I'm fine with fruit juice, I'm not hungry, so you just make your order," Vanessa replied to Leonard.


'Am going to order anything you order as well" Leonard said to Vanessa smiling.


'Then you are going to take fruit juice," Vanessa said to Leonard.


'Yes if that is your order then it's fine for me" Leonard said to Vanessa staring into her eyes.


'Stop staring at me like that you flirt" Vanessa said to Leonard considering the fact that she was uncomfortable with the way Leonard was looking at her.


'What's wrong with me staring at you? You are a pretty girl so you don't expect me to look away from you" Leonard said to Vanessa, trying to get closer to her.


'Stop flirting with me" Vanessa yelled at Leonard.


Leonard immediately moves aside when he notices Vanessa was already yelling and could say something that would land him in trouble.


'Why are you shouting? I was just kidding around with and you are yelling" Leonard said to Vanessa


'Don't try to act smart with me cause I won't take any nonsense from you, I have said this before and I will say it again you are my boss and you will remain my boss nothing more nothing less" Vanessa said to Leonard in an angry tone.


'You are my secretary, my personal secretary at that so you have no right to yell at me, I invited you over for lunch and you should be grateful for that, I am the boss here so I talk and you listen. As far as I am concerned I will be the one to pay your salary so you have no right to talk to me in a rude way like you are doing" Leonard replied Vanessa in an angry way.


'I know you are my boss that is why I agreed to go on this lunch since it was your instruction, I listen your instructions as my boss but when it's comes to you flirting with me I can't take it, I can't mix business with pleasure" Vanessa replied Leonard


'I am your boss so if I want to flirt with you I can, so you better do as I say and don't get me pursued off" Leonard said to Vanessa staring into her eyes.


'You know what I can't do this anymore I quit, I don't want to work for you anymore, I would rather be jobless than have a boss like you, I will drop my resignation letter tomorrow" Vanessa said to Leonard as she attempted to stand up to leave.


'You want to resign? Where would you get a job like this with a good salary? Or do you want to go back to being jobless?" Leonard asked Vanessa


'I would rather be jobless than to have anything to do with you, you are just a spoiled brat" Vanessa said to Leonard in anger as she left the VIP table.


She headed to Ronaldo who was waiting for her (Vanessa) since Maria didn't show up because she had something else to do and couldn't make it to lunch with them.


Ronaldo was so surprised to see Vanessa come out of the VIP with a very angry look and he immediately stood up from his chair and went to meet her.


'Vanessa what happened? Are you okay? You look angry? Why are you crying? Where is Radford? Did Leonard do anything to you?" Ronaldo asked Vanessa as he was curious to know what happened that made her look so angry.


'Ronaldo let's go home please, we will talk when we get home because I don't want to wait one more second here" Vanessa replied to Ronaldo not answering his questions.


'Okay let's go, but are you okay, because you don't look okay, did Leonard try to do anything funny with you? Can you at least talk to me before we leave, so that I can know when f all is well" Ronaldo asked Vanessa, still confused at what might have happened during the lunch.


'I resign because I can't do this anymore, Leonard was flirting with me" Vanessa replied to Ronaldo 's questions.
