Chapter 19.



After she was done eating, she pouted.

"How longer do I have to wait?" She asked.

"No more, just close your eyes." Ronaldo answered.

"Why should I?" Vanessa asked.

"God, will you ever do something without asking?" Ronaldo asked.

"Maybe not." She replied.

He closed her eyes with his eyes.

"You don't have to; I will close my eyes by myself." Vanessa complained.

"Okay, no cheating, no sneaking." Ronaldo warned.

"Whatever." Vanessa replied.

She closed her eyes and he makes sure she isn't sneaking from the side of her finger.

He pulled her hand and after walking for two minutes, he stopped.

"I'm tired Ronaldo, I will open my eyes." Vanessa said.

"Just one more minutes Vanessa." Ronaldo said.

She twisted her lips.

"That's even cuter." He teased.

"Ric...."

"Fine, you can open your eyes." He said.

She opened her eyes and what she saw made he gasped, she placed her finger on her lips still shocked.

The complete view of London in the night.

"Wow, this is so beautiful, this is so awesome, oh my gosh." Vanessa exclaimed excited about what she saw.

The tall towers, light everywhere, in fact she loved everything about it.

She turned to him.

"Ronaldo, where are we? I can't remember you, using a car to drive us her." Vanessa asked anxiously.

"That's because we didn't use car to come here." Ronaldo replied.

"Then what? Is this a projector attached to a computer or a television?" She asked curiously.

"No, this is my gym, and this place is made of glass." Ronaldo said smiling.

"You are not serious are you? No, how can the whole view of London be seen from your room, is it fakes?" Vanessa asked.

"But you can see car driving and people walking around activities going on right?" He asked back.

"Yeah, I can see all of that." Vanessa replied.

"That what makes it real, it's not paintings, just some pieces of technology and that's all, so tell me something, do you like it?" Ronaldo asked.

"Is that even a question? Of course I love it so much, it's so amazing, and can I come here every day?" Vanessa asked.

"Maybe, that's if you decide to continue working at the company with me, I will even teach you some training and how to use some of the machines, so are you in for this great deal," Ronaldo answered.

She kept quiet.

"C'mon Ric, I don't want to work there anymore, please." She pleaded.

"You are not a coward, are you?" Ronaldo asked and she nodded negatively.

"Exactly, you should be brave and be positive, nothing will happen to you, just give it one more tries, and promise?" He asked.

"Okay, promise, now can I come here daily?" Vanessa replied.

"Yeah, as far as you stick to the deal." Ronaldo said.

"Okay, I heard you, loud and clear." Vanessa replied.

They continued watching the view till late at night and they slept off there.



**Somewhere at Mozambique**

"You have to eat something Mama, remember what the doctor said; your health is not improving at all." A lady said.

"How can I eat when I'm not seeing my Vanessa? It has been almost three months without seeing her and not even hearing her voice even on the phone, what if she is in kind of trouble, what if she death, I want to see my daughter, I want to feel her warmness, I want to hug her and tell her that everything will be fine." That's Vanessa's mom, she has been so sick since Vanessa left, that was the mean reason her niece took her away from her old house, all she do is cried all day and starve herself and the doctor said it will be really bad if she continues over thinking and starving herself, they tried all they could, but it's not just working for her, all she wants is her Vanessa, her only daughter.

"Mama, I'm sure Vanessa is alive, and safe, leaving was the only solution she has, I'm sure she is fine." Her niece said.

"So you know what hurts me, the fact that Vanessa wasn't able to speaked up to me about why she left and she even left without her hugging me and assuring me she will be fine, now how can I be at rest?" She asked.

"You have us, and we so care about you, I know Vanessa is thinking about you wherever she is, she won't forget about you, and if you eat this food, I had a friend who live in Nairobi, Kenya, I will ask her to help us look for, just eat for the sake of your Vanessa, she won't forgive herself if something happens to you because of her, please." Her niece pleaded.

Mama agreed and started eating, and crying, recalling her best moments with Vanessa and how she will always do the laundry and went to the groceries store, she has always been a good daughter to her and nice child to everyone, even to her neighbors, but she left without saying goodbye.



**Mozambique* Diego's Mafia empire**

"Welcome brother." Diego said as Fredrick joined him in his meeting with the new drugs sellers.

"Thanks Diego, why did you call me here so urgently?" Fredrick asked.

"Hope it's not about Ronaldo?" Fredrick asked again.

"Of course not, that was a past tense, your brother is like a brother to me, so forget about everything that happened, remember the new business I told you about yesterday?" Diego answered.

"Yes, the goods, what about it?" Fredrick asked.

"Meet this gentlemen, they are foreigners, and are very good in delivering good cocaine's and marijuana, even Indian hemp, they also deals with new modern weapons, so they are here so we could talk things out and finalize everything." Diego answered.

"Nice to meet you." Fredrick said and they shake hands.

"My friend has told me everything about you guys, but I want you to tell me something, your country is not like ours, you are full of securities, how can you import the drugs to us with this so much securities?" Fredrick asked.

"We know how to do it in our own ways; no one will find out, we sometimes do go through surgeries in delivering our drugs and satisfying our clients." One of them replied.

"That's nice, but a bit risky and dangerous, what if you get caught, and will our money suffer any loss?" Fredrick asked.

Diego is already getting pissed of the numerous questions asked by Fredrick, but he had to stay cool at least till his plans work out.

"No, it totally on us, we are reliable." The other guy replied.

"How much is your price?" Fredrick asked.

"25 million dollars, but trust me, you will get more than this as profit." They replied.

"Nice then, I and Diego will talk about everything and get back at you, for now, I have an important meeting with my men so I have to leave." Fredrick said.

"Are you sure, it's late and your safety matters." Diego replied.

"No, thank you, but I will be fine, my men are outside waiting so I'm not alone, have a good night." Fredrick said and left.

Diego laughed evilly.

"Fool, he thought this is pure, he doesn't know he is about to risk his money and won't get them back." Diego said.

"But won't he find out? He seems to be smart." The first guy asked.

"Yeah, he is smart that's why we gonna outsmart him, he adores money and profit so much, and that's how we will use it as his weakness." Diego answered.

"We don't understand boss." They said.

"Fredrick didn't know you are working for me and he won't know, he have to act smart in order to outsmart a smart Fredrick, the first delivery of the deal will be done good, then the second one, after he realize how much profit he make, I will persuade him to add more money, that's when he will regret it." Diego explained with a Smirk.

"He should have stick to his word that, there is no trust among the Mafia's, especially not Mafias like me." He added and laughed.



**Anthony's house**

Anthony walks out of his room with an envelope full of money.

He handed it to the internet professor.

"For what sir? Your work isn't done yet."

He asked.

"I don't think this will be done anytime soon, you just told us that the place Vanessa is there is no internet connection which wills he almost impossible for you to trace her, its better we stop all this and when the right time comes, we will find the girl." Anthony said.

"But I'm not complaining, I'm ready to work my ass out till we find her, I understand how important finding her is to you, you are a gentleman, I doubt if you will ever hurt her." The professor replied.

"Thanks for the compliment though, you have family waiting for you at home, you can continue searching for her at your own comfort zone, but for now, pause searching for her since it's not adding anything to us." Anthony said.

"If you insist, thank you so much, for paying me even though your work it's not done." The professor said.

"But at least I saw how hard it is, good night." Anthony replied and exist the room.

Nathaniel heard everything.

"Hope you are not thinking of giving up on her." Nathaniel asked.

"That's the best thing to do, since it's not yielding to anything positive." Anthony replied.

"But what of your father, are you planning to forgive them for murdering him ruthlessly?" Nathaniel asked.

"No, I'm not planning on doing that, one day I'm sure gonna have my revenge, good night Nathaniel." Anthony answered and headed towards his room.

"What if the enemies find her before you?" Nathaniel asked and he paused.

"They won't, she is out of this country, and where she lives doesn't have internet connection, so it will be impossible for them to trace her, I'm so tired Nathan, everything has time, when the perfect time comes, nothing will stand as obstacle that will stop me from taking my revenge." Anthony replied.



The next day.

**Ronaldo's Mansion**

The sun ray shines through the glass window reflecting on Ronaldo's face.

He opened his eyes and tries to rub his eyes but his hands are heavy.

He turned to his side and saw Vanessa sleeping peacefully on his shoulder.

He recalled how they slept off there.

His back aches and his hands are too heavy.

Vanessa looks so beautiful sleeping that he didn't want to wake her up, he just want to watch her sleeping, so cute and innocent.

He tried to lift her off his shoulder but she seems to be enjoying it more, she held his hand more.

"Vanessa, wake up!" He screamed but not too loud.

She didn't even move.

"It's morning Vanessa, open your eyes." He added rubbing her chin.

His phone rings and that's when she opened her eyes.

She tries to stretch her body but she wasn't able to, she looks up and saw that she is on Ronaldo's shoulder, her hands wrapped around him.

"Oh my God!" She said and jumps up like a scary cat.

"I'm so sorry; I didn't know I slept off."

Vanessa apologies.

Ronaldo didn't say anything as he stretches his neck; his hands are hurting so bad.

"I'm sorry, it hurts right, because of me, I'm sorry pleased." She pleaded.

"Hey, stop apologizing, we both slept off while watching the London view, so it's not your fault, it's just a little pains and it will go away in no time." Ronaldo said and turns his face.

"Aww." He winced.

"It hurts so bad right." She asked with a sad face.

"Yeah, but not much, I will be fine." Ronaldo answered.

"Okay, I will massage it with warm water, just like how my mom does, I missed her so much." Vanessa said.

"Just lift off your shirt, I will be back."

She added and headed to the bathroom.
