Chapter 53 - Toxic Blood

**Callums pov**

It took both me and Reece to pry Hope off the vampire and out in the corridor.
When Luna flooded Hope with all those memories, she was also connected to me and Beacon, making us see everything. I don't think she ment to, but the shock of seeing her mates killer was to much. Her mate..for the first time it hits me, I’m not her first mate. Beacon whines a little in my head and in a way I understand him.
“Hope..please calm down..snap out of it please..its not your life..” I try to hug her and she calms down a little but her body is shaking like hell on a cold day. I take her face in my hands and look her deep in the eyes.
“Luna..please..you are hurting Hope..you are hurting all of us..please calm down” I run my thumbs on her cheeks, seeing her eyes go back and fourth. Suddenly she shifts and by her big body, I’m thrown backwards and land on my ass.
“Reece, lock the door and get out of here! Now!” I scream through the link and keep my eyes on Luna. She howls, whines and cry. She walks in circles around me, rubbing her body against mine,she bangs her head against the walls of the cramped corridor and then, she comes back to circle me again..whining. She is hurting..badly. She is starting to nibble at my clothes, pulling them. She doesn’t want me, she wants Beacon.
“Ok sweetie, just relax and know I love you.” I look her in the eyes kiss her head before I let Beacon take over, shifting in the small space. Luna curled her self at Beacons side, seeking comfort and he gave it to her. It took almost two hours for her to calm down. Two hours before I heard Hopes voice in my head.
“Callum..I’m sorry”
“Hey, you have nothing to be sorry for, neither does Luna. That asshole in there betrayed her in the worst way, of course it was a shock for her seing him”
“Can you ask Reece for new clothes? I really want to be in your arms right now” She nudged her head against me. Reece came back down in the corridor a few minutes later, leaving a bag before going back up. We both shifted back and I immediately took her in my arms, kissing her. After we got dressed Hope turned to me.
“Callum..You know I love you right?”
“Yeah, I know and I love you too..”
“I know.. You are my first love, my true love and my last love..but to Luna..You know..she begged Selene to let her die with me..for you to be her last love as well...But she has lived a long life, in several different minds, and memories and feelings from those lives will appear..please tell me you understand..that you can handle it..that you can help me handle it. Please Callum..” Her eyes was overflowing with tears and I took her in my arms, holding her as hard as I could without hurting her.
“Of course I can handle it! And I will help you through it..both of you”
“Can I come back down or are you guys coming up? Reece called down the stairs. We both chuckled before I told him to come. Hope walked up to him and gave him a hug, saying she was sorry.
“ Don't ever apologize for wanting to kill a bloodsucker, at least not to me “ he snickered.
“ Can you please open the door again, I'll behave this time” She asked him and I gave him a silent nod.

**Hopes pov**

I walk up to Fredrick and start to take off his muzzle.
“Hope, is that a good idea?” Callum asked, a bit of concern in his voice.
“Oh, he won't bite..isn’t that right Fredrick?” I say and squeeze his cheeks together, like he was a child.
“That would probably kill you..right?” I give him a fake smile and toss the muzzle on a small table.
“I have to say, I can really see the kinship” He says with a dry raspy voice.
He tries to appear unfazed but I can tell that he is starving. I can also see that the light from the fluorescent tubes is really starting to eat away at him.
“Reece, will you please give me a small cup?” I say without letting go of Fredricks eyes. Reece runs of and comes back with a coffee cup.
“Thank you, now, give me your arm”
“What? No, im not bleeding for him!”
“Reece, your arm, please!” I say again, in a slightly sterner voice, and he frowns but did as I asked and held out his arm. I let one of my claws grow and slice his skin open over the cup, still looking at Fredrick, to the sound of dripping blood.
“I’m not drinking that..” he say with a cocky attitude.
“Well, its his or mine, you pick, I promise you, we are not related.” I say holding the cup against his lips.
“Open up and let the choo choo train in” I smirk as I see his lips part.
As the blood reaches his system, his pupils dilate and his face gets a little more color.
“Feeling better?” I ask
“What are you doing Theresa?” He narrows his eyes at me
I smile at him again, he is trying to make me snap again, trying to reach the depths of Theresa’s memories to confuse me..But this time, me and Luna are on the same page.
“Hope..my name is Hope. But we have the same wolfsoul, so we share a lot of memories....among other things..”
“Since my wolf is awake I can only assume that your Father is feeling better? You won't mind telling me where I can find him would you? I would love to see him for a chat”
He chuckled and shook his head
“I would never tell you anything, you might as well kill me right now”
“Reece sweety, can you bring me a needle? And Callum darling, can you bring our guest from room one.” At first they didn’t move, so I had to link them. Please guys, can you play along?! They took off and Fredrick looked confused. I didn’t say anything to him, I just kept smiling. Soon Callum came back, dragging the chair from room one. Reece took a few minutes longer but he had a big smile returning after what obviously was a difficult task.
“ You see Fredrick..” I started as I moved to take the muzzle off the pale man from room one.
“ I know what my blood does to Ambrogio..it sends him down a spiral of agony, pain and despair, so much time in pain with only his own demons for company... I also know what my blood does to his turned children..” I put my wrist in front of the pale mans mouth, he reacted immediately, smelling my blood, hearing it pulsing through my veins.
“No! Don't!” Fredrick shouted, trying to stop the man, but it was to late, he buried his fangs in my wrist and started to suck. It only took a few sips and a few seconds before he started to cough.
“It melts them from the inside, killing them fast” I say as we watch the man bleed out in front of us.
“That makes me curious and a question come to mind..What would my blood do to a pureblood?” I lean close to him, so close that the hair on our faces almost touch.
“How much of my blood can you handle Fredrick? Before you writhing, screaming in your own sweat like your father..how much could you handle before you melt, just like your friend here from room one?” I whisper to him.
I stand up and walk over to Reece, taking the needle before turning back.
“I think we start with one small drop..Callum, I think Fredrick needs help opening his mouth”
“You fucking bitch! He will come for you, he will kill you once and for all!” Fredrick screamed at me, earning a backhand from Callum.
“Watch it, that’s my mate you are talking to!” he growled before taking Fredricks face and bending his jaws apart.
I poked my finger with the needle and a drop form before I held it over Fredrick’s mouth, and watched as it fell down his throat.
Again, I can see his pupils dilate. Then his body starts to shake, his muscles begin to spasm followed by his screams of pain.
“I'll check on you tomorrow Fredrick” I say, flick the light off and leave the room, followed by Callum and Reece. I don’t stop in the corridor, I hurry up the stairs and in to the room where I saw a fridge. My hands are shaking as I try to open a beer bottle so I leave it and go for the whiskey I see on one of the bookshelf. I take three deep sips, ignoring the burning feeling in my throat.
“Hey, hey..easy..are you okay?” Callum came up behind me, massaging my shoulders.
“ That was not me Callum..I mean, it was..but I’ve never been like that..fuck, fuck fuuuck!!! I killed a man!” I half shout before I put the bottle to my lips again.
“ You killed a vampire..trust me, I’ve talked to him, he hasn’t been a man for a very long time”
I turn and bury my face at Callums chest, feeling the bond calming me.
“Hope..How did you know he was a pureblood?..How do you know about purebloods?”
“ I don't know, I just do..I guess its because Luna does”
“ So how do you want to go on?”
“Right now, I think I need to speak to Zandra..but after that, I just want to go home and have a normal day with Anna, Thomas and the rest of our family..I know when I see him tomorrow again. And I know I will make him speak eventually..But for now, lets just have a normal day with our friends, ok?”
