Chapter 1522 Let The Doctor Make The Preparations

In the hospital, Abbie was leaning against the head of the bed as she held the mobile phone that Leonard gave her. Her gaze was fixated on the screen.
It had been a week since she regained consciousness. During the past week, she had been sleeping most of the time due to her health. She only stayed awake for a short while during the day. However, she would always use the phone that Leonard had given her to search for news in this short period of time.
The news she searched for were about her family, herself, Michael, and Azalea.
She still couldn't remember anything, but she would feel a pang of sadness when she saw Michael's photo. She would feel at ease instead when she saw the photos of Richard and her parents. Meanwhile, she would experience a strong hatred when she saw the photo of Azalea.
Even though she couldn't remember anything, her feelings were enough to guide everything. Together with the news and gossip that she read on the Internet, she was able to confirm certain matters.
Michael did cheat on her when they were together. He charmed her while also flirting with Azalea.
Even though Abbie had no memories of the past, she was a proud person. She couldn't imagine that she would actually be in a relationship with a despicable playboy. Not only that, but she was also pregnant with his child. Then she was injured and almost lost her life.
How could she be so incompetent? How could she be bullied with such ease?
Rage and pain tore at her heart. She desired revenge! She wanted to get even with the scumbags, Michael and Azalea.
The first thing she needed to do now was to cut off all ties with the jerk, Michael. Now that she was pregnant with his child, she would never allow the child in her womb to be born.
She had to start with this matter after all. Without a child, she wouldn't be held back by anything. As such. she could seek revenge for herself.
Abbie pressed the bell on the bedside and asked for the doctor. He arrived at the room quickly. "Miss Clark, what can I do for you?"
"I want to have an abortion. Arrange for the operation immediately."
"Uh... Miss Clark, have you really thought it through? You don't remember anything now. What if you regret it after the abortion? In my opinion, you'd better think about it again." The doctor tried his best to persuade Abbie.
"I've already thought it through. We'll proceed with it. Go and make the arrangements for the operation. I want it to be done today."
The doctor had no choice but to agree and leave when he realized that Abbie was determined. He called Leonard as soon as he walked out of the door. "Mr. Floyd, Miss Clark wants to get rid of the baby in her womb. She has asked me to arrange an operation immediately. What are your thoughts on this?"
Leonard, who was on the other end of the line, hummed in agreement. "I'm already at the hospital. I'll be there right away. Let's talk about it when I get there."
After hanging up the phone, Leonard got out of the car. His assistant opened the trunk and took out the fruits and flowers he bought before he followed the former into the elevator.
By the time they entered the ward, Abbie had already laid down on the bed. She looked over when she heard the sound of their footsteps. Leonard walked over to the bed with a smile on his face as he held the flowers in his arms. "How are you feeling today?"
"I feel a bit better than yesterday," Abbie replied.
"Good to hear. I believe you'll recover soon," Leonard said as he removed the flowers from the vase on the table and replaced them with the new flowers he bought.
Abbie watched his movements silently. His actions were elegant and his face was plastered with a smile. He also treated her gently. He seemed to be a nice person.
However, was there really such a nice person in the world? If she was just an ordinary woman, she wouldn't mind since Leonard would not want anything from her. However, she was the eldest daughter of the Clark family and had shares of the Clark family's company. Did Leonard not have any self-serving motives in saving her?
Besides, why didn't he inform her family after he saved her? Why did he keep her unconscious in the hospital for so long?
Abbie felt that many things still required further explanations. She was grateful to Leonard for saving her, but it did not mean that she would stand back and do nothing. She had to observe what kind of man Leonard was first.
Leonard sat down beside the bed after he changed the flowers. "The doctor just called me. He said that you were going to have an operation."
Abbie nodded in response. "Yes! I told you about the operation last time. I remember that you've already given me your word, haven't you?"
Leonard nodded in agreement. "I promised you last time because you've just regained consciousness. The doctor said that you need to stay calm. I needed to follow what you say as long as it was what you want. I shouldn't disagree with you. I only promised you in consideration of your health."
"What do you mean? Do you disagree with me undergoing the operation?" Abbie asked in return.
"Yes, you're slowly regaining your health. You're in a good condition. The child is your biological child after all. I think you'd better sleep on it."
Abbie insisted. "I've already thought things through. I want to undergo the operation!"
"Are you sure? This is a human life we're talking about. It's your child. Are you really determined to do this?"
"Yes, I've made up my mind!"
Leonard tried to dissuade her. "I think you're still a little irrational and emotional. Stop for a while and think about it again."
"What's there to think about? Do you want me to give birth to an illegitimate child so that I can be a laughing stock?"
"That's not it! I think... the matter between you and Michael can't be concluded just by listening to rumors. I don't know Michael well and I don't know much about your past. I learned a little about you through a brief investigation and rumors. The child is yours and Michael's. She is a life after all. You need to ask Michael personally if he really cheated on you, instead of relying on the information that I've gathered. I'm not God, so I can't tell you everything. If I make a mistake, it will be difficult for me to correct it. That's why I want you to take a minute and slow down!"
"What's there to wait for? Let me ask you, did my brother accuse Azalea of murdering me? Did the Davis family bail Azalea out?" Abbie asked.
"Yes! I'm sure of it!"
"Did Azalea move into the Davis family's mansion afterwards?"
"Yes, I'm also certain about that piece of news!" Leonard continued to nod.
"Is Azalea expecting Michael's child?"
Yes, I'm sure about that."
"Then what's there to say? Michael wouldn't do that to me if he has the slightest bit of love for me, would he? Once I went missing, he took Azalea home, and then she was pregnant with his child. This is such a seamless plan!"
Abbie let out a mocking smile. "Such a disgusting jerk, yet I'm bearing his child. Why should I gross myself out for the rest of my life?"
Leonard heaved a sigh. "I don't think things are that simple. The main reason is that I'm worried that you'll regret your decision in the future. Since you dated Michael before, you should know what type of man he is, right? You can't remember anything since you've lost your memory. If one day you regain those memories and realize that you've misunderstood him, it'll be too late for regrets."
"As long as your answers to me now are facts, there won't be any misunderstanding. Let's ask the doctor to operate immediately!"
"Well... all right then!" Leonard let out a soft sigh. "I'll get him to make the preparations right now."
