Chapter 1733 Just Leave
Wayne was happy when he heard that Richard accept the apology, but he didn't expect what the latter would say after that.
Richard meant that he shouldn't be too gleeful even though the Clark family had accepted his apology and that he should get lost.
Of course, he did not come to apologize without an ulterior motive. He wanted to rebuild his friendship with the Clark family. However, his efforts were all in vain now that Richard had asked him to leave immediately.
Of course, Wayne would not come here in vain, so he immediately said, "I've always felt guilty because I did such a despicable thing to Abbie. I've decided that I have to compensate her."
Donald waved his hand and said, "There's no need!"
Wayne insisted, "I have to, or else I won't feel at ease. Donald, please promise me that you will agree to my request."
Richard narrowed his eyes and smiled. "As far as I know, your family has already gone bankrupt. How are you going to compensate us?"
Wayne said, "The Davis family doesn't exist anymore, but I still have some money. I will do my best to compensate for the damage that Abbie has suffered."
"What?" Richard smiled and said sarcastically. "How much do you intend to pay? Our family is not short of money, so we won't be satisfied with a small sum!"
Wayne just wanted to show his sincerity to gain the favour of the Clark family, but he didn't expect that Richard would force him into a corner and ask him to name a price.
Since Michael could no longer have children, Abbie's child would be his only heir. Wayne was already old, so it was meaningless for him to have so much money. If he could let Michael and Abbie reunite and live happily together, he wouldn't mind giving away everything he had.
Wayne immediately replied when he thought of this, "I am willing to give all my assets to you as long as you can forgive our family!"
Richard had originally only wanted to test Wayne and see if he knew about Emma's background when he came to apologize to the Clark family. When he saw how Wayne was so willing to give away all of his assets, he chuckled and said, "Okay, then let's do as you said. Call me once you get the money ready and I'll deal with Abbie."
"Richard!" Donald frowned. He didn't understand why his son would say something like this.
Richard raised his wrist and glanced at his watch. "Alright, we'll accept your apology and all your money so you won't have to feel guilty. You can prepare the money and call me whenever you're ready."
Wayne still wanted to drag things on. "I want to apologize to Abbie face to face!"
Richard didn't give him a chance. "Let's talk about it when you prepare the money. It's getting late and we're going to have lunch, so please leave!"
Wayne and Meadow were chased out just like that. Richard even sent them out of the door with a smile on his face and reached out to open the car door for Wayne, so the latter was forced to get in.
"Richard, I really want to apologize and I'm not lying."
"I know, you can make the preparrations and contact me later."
When Richard closed the door and waved away with a smile, Wayne sighed and asked the driver to drive. At this time, Meadow was still in a daze. "Dad, is Michael really infertile?"
"Couldn't you hear what I said just now?" Wayne was incredibly annoyed. "It's all your fault. If it weren't for you, Michael wouldn't have ended up like this. You invited Azalea into our house, so you're the culprit who made Michael end up like this!"
"What would happen to Michael now? He won't have any children... Boohoo... I regret it!" Meadow wiped her tears and sobbed. Wayne became very annoyed and said, "Stop crying! You're so noisy!"
Meadow couldn't hold back her tears at all. Wayne was very annoyed because she kept crying for a long time, so he took out his mobile phone and called Michael. "The Clark family accepted our apology, but they don't plan to make peace with us."
"Didn't you think of a plan?" Michael asked.
"I did. I said I'd make it up to Abbie and give her all of my assets."
"When did you become so generous?" Michael sneered. "You weren't like this in the past."
Wayne pretended not to hear Michael's sarcasm. "Michael, Richard asked me to call him when I get the money ready. What should I do next?"
"You can prepare the assets and give them to Abbie."
Wayne agreed and Michael continued, "Were you just saying it for the sake of it?"
"Of course not. I just..." Wayne wanted to say that he had seen how adorable Emma was, but he swallowed his words when he glanced at Meadow, who was next to him. "Fine, I'll prepare the money."
Meadow had been crying, but she stopped when she heard the phone call. "Dad, are you really going to give all your assets to Abbie?"
"That's right!"
"Then what should we do? If you give all the money to her, how will we live?"
"Can't you go to work?" Wayne sneered. "You will support yourself in the future. I won't care about anyone anymore, and I just want to atone for my sins."
Meadow was speechless. Just then, Wayne sneered at her and said, "You'd better pray that Abbie will forgive you so Michael will take care of you. Otherwise, you have to work to earn your own money. I'm telling you right now that crying won't get you anywhere."
After Richard came back to the living room, Donald and Helen immediately asked him, "What is Wayne trying to do by coming here today? Is he really here to apologize or does he have any other plans?"
"I think his apology is sincere, but he should have other plans."
"What are they going to do?"
"I don't know yet, so let's wait and see." Richard shook his head. He had already guessed the purpose of Wayne's visit, but he couldn't tell his parents.
Donald shook his head and said, "It's so pitiful that Michael is infertile now! Wayne and Meadow are paying for their crimes."
Richard narrowed his eyes. "What?" He knew that it was nothing but a blatant lie. "Who told you that Michael can't have children?"
Donald said, "Didn't Wayne say that? He said that Michael was framed by Francis and he was drugged."
"Haha!" Richard sneered. Francis must have intended to plot against Michael, but the chance of success was zero. The Gurney wouldn't have ended up like this if his scheme against Michael went smoothly.
He wanted to see what Michael was going to do now.
