Chapter 1665 Observe Her Reaction
When Cade and Santhos fell asleep in their beds, Valeria yawned and gently closed the door. William immediately lifted her in the air just as she returned to the bedroom.
"Dear, we haven't had a bath together for a long time. Why don't we take some time to relax?"
"Alright, alright." Valeria pursed her lips into a smile. Then, William happily carried her to the bathroom after getting her permission.
Their bath lasted for almost two hours, and the bathroom floor was full of water by the time they finished. Valeria was carried out by William after that.
She was so tired that she just wanted to sleep, but William took the hairdryer to dry her hair. "You should go to sleep after your hair is dry, or you'll have a headache."
When Valeria closed her eyes and rested her head on William's lap to let him dry her hair, she could vaguely hear her phone ringing.
She didn't open her eyes. "Honey, look who sent me a message. Could it be Abbie?"
William reached out for her phone and opened it. "It's Abbie. She asked you to do something for her."
Valeria didn't feel sleepy anymore after hearing this, and she immediately opened her eyes to take her phone from William's hand. She immediately read the message that Abbie had just sent. "Valeria, can you do me a favor?"
"Sure!"
"I'll give you an address, and I need your help to arrange for someone to take a look at the place. You can't tell anyone about this, not even your husband."
Abbie said that William couldn't know about it, but it was too late now. Valeria looked at him and said, "What should I do? She told me not to tell you, but you already know about it."
"Just pretend that I'm clueless about it. Just agree to her request and say that you'll help her without telling anyone else."
Valeria agreed to Abbie's request. "Alright, I won't tell my husband. I'll arrange for someone to check it out."
Abbie already memorized the neighbourhood and the studio unit when she followed Leonard's bodyguard to the apartment, so she immediately told Valeria the address. "Valeria, this matter is extremely urgent, so you have to do it now. You can't let anyone know that I'm keeping tabs on this matter."
"I got it. Don't worry, I'll handle it." Valeria gave William the address. "I'll leave it to you since you already know about this."
"Of course, milady!"
William messaged Bobby the address that Abbie had sent to Valeria. "Go there yourself and remember not to the enemy. Be careful and take notes on who's behind this!"
Valeria became completely awake after she received Abbie's message for help. "Honey, what's going on? Why does Abbie want me to investigate this place?"
"I'm not very sure, but you can meet Abbie after you get up tomorrow morning."
Valeria was even more confused. "Why should I look for her?"
"Tell Abbie that Leonard had a girlfriend and he even made her pregnant."
"Hubby, are you trying to spread the news about Evelyn?"
"No, this is a different matter. Leonard has a secret girlfriend abroad. I sent someone to investigate it, but I haven't found out her identity yet. I only know that she is a young Asian woman that gave birth to his child, but the child is nowhere to be found right now."
Valeria was very angry when she heard this. "This... Leonard is such a disgusting jerk. Why does he still want to be with Abbie? He must be delirious!"
"Don't get angry first and listen to me. You have to tell Abbie that Leonard has a pregnant girlfriend who gave birth to his child tomorrow. Watch Abbie's reaction carefully when you mention the child."
Valeria nodded. "Alright, I'll look for her tomorrow!"
"There's one more thing. I heard that Leonard's girlfriend has already given birth, so you should also tell Abbie that when the time comes. Remember, the most important thing you have to do is to observe her reaction."
Bobby came back exhausted at five o'clock in the morning.
He reported to William as soon as he returned, "I rushed to the apartment unit on the address, but it was empty. An insider told me that the people who lived there temporarily withdrew their contract and moved away last night."
"Did you find anything else?" William did not have much hope and he asked calmly after hearing Bobby's words.
"The tenants are a family that consisted of several adults. The neighbours said that there were at least four men, three women, and a baby."
"A baby?" William raised his eyebrows and Bobby repeated, "The neighbour said that he heard a baby crying and he also saw the baby once. They wrapped the baby tightly into a bundle, so it's about three months old at most."
"The baby is three months old?!" William showed an enlightened expression after he repeated it. "Bobby, you've gained a lot of information this time! You can have breakfast and rest well!"
Bobby was confused. "Sir, did you think of anything?"
"I have some clues and I'll probably figure it out soon."
Valeria was still asleep when William hurried back to his room, so he reached out and pushed her. "Honey, get up and meet Abbie now!"
"What time is it now?" Valeria opened her eyes and looked outside. "It's still early and I'm sure Abbie hasn't woken up yet. Let me sleep for a while."
"Bobby is back and he found some clues. You need to tell Abbie about it right away!"
Valeria sat up when she heard this and yawned as she asked William, "What did he find out?"
"Bobby said that there was no one living there now and the tenants moved out overnight."
"Huh? What's going on?" Valeria asked in surprise.
"I don't know. Bobby said that there were a few men and women living there, and they also brought a baby."
"What? Did Abbie ask me to investigate Leonard's pregnant girlfriend? Leonard is such a disgusting b*stard. Will Abbie really fall in love with him? Hubby, what if she doesn't listen to my advice because she loves him? I'm so worried!"
"I don't know. Dear, get up and tell this news to Abbie and see how she'll react."
"Alright!" Valeria yawned and went to the bathroom. Then, she complained as she walked, "I can barely open my eyes because I'm so tired and it's all your fault! William, how can you have so much stamina in the middle of the night? I'm telling you, we can only go for one round at night!"
"We'll see about that. I'll help you squeeze some toothpaste." William willingly helped Valeria prepare her toothbrush. When he saw that she was still sleepy, he put the toothbrush to her mouth and said, "Why don't I help you brush your teeth?"
"Get lost!" Valeria rolled her eyes and took the toothbrush from William to brush her teeth. He smiled and said, "You must be tired. I'll help you find an outfit for today so you can dress up beautifully!"
