Chapter 41

Emily's POV
　　"Mr. Claude approached Mr. Brown and said he would give Mr. Brown a lot of money and more projects if he would help him with the project, and Mr. Brown agreed to do it for the money. Emma told me that they contacted a very high-ranking employee at Mr. Vincent's company and asked her to make the project happen. It's all true, so Emily you need to hand the project over to someone else now or you'll be suspected by Mr. Vincent!"
　　Dylan explained the whole thing to me. I don't know why he's telling me this, but if he's telling the truth then this is going to be a huge blow to Andre!
　　"Thank you for telling me that, Dylan. I'll be back, bye."
　　I couldn't care less about the fight I'd just had with Andre, so I thanked Dylan and hurried back to the office.
　　I had to tell Andre about this project before it worked! I couldn't let Toby's plan work! Although I still didn't want to believe that Nathan was approaching me just to take on Andre's company, I still had to remind Andre to have a plan to defend himself against their attack.
　　"Ms. Jones, we have some very bad news for you. Your mother, Ms. Hellen, is missing!"
　　Today must be the worst day I've ever experienced! Dylan told me Andre's company was about to lose money, and now Hellen's doctor is telling me that Hellen is missing!
　　"I'm sorry. I don't understand. Why would she be missing? Didn't she stay in the hospital room? How long has she been missing?!"
　　I don't know how to describe how I feel right now. Anxiety and anger surrounded me. I couldn't imagine what could have happened to Hellen, who had no enemies in the city!
　　"Ms. Hellen has been missing for the better part of a morning. She went downstairs for a walk after breakfast today and never returned to her room. We searched the entire hospital with the nurses and the hospital security, but we couldn't find her. But we checked the surveillance and found that Ms. Hellen was dragged away from the hospital in front of the car!"
　　Hellen had been kidnapped? But who would kidnap Hellen? She doesn't fight with anyone, she doesn't piss people off, she's so gentle, and everyone likes her including Andre's mother.
　　Could it be Bella?
　　My head was in turmoil. I don't know anyone who would kidnap Hellen in the morning! The only person I can think of is Bella, the only one she always hated and wanted Hellen dead! But Hellen was no threat to Bella at all! Why would she want to kidnap Hellen? Toby doesn't love Hellen, he won't marry her, and Hellen can't shake Bella's position!
　　"Andy. Help me! Hellen is gone! The hospital told me someone kidnapped her! Can you help me find her?"
　　I went to Andre's office as fast as I could, only Andre could help me now.
　　"Baby? Baby. You take it easy. I'll get you to help you find Hellen right now, and don't worry, she'll be fine."
　　Andre didn't continue to be angry with me after hearing about this. He held me tightly in his arms to comfort me took out his cell phone and started contacting people he knew and the police to help me find Hellen.
　　"Andy... Can we find Hellen? Why do all the bad things have to choose her?"
　　I waited anxiously to hear from Hellen, panicking and not knowing what to do! I repeated the same question over and over again, but instead of getting annoyed, Andre kept reassuring me.
　　Time kept passing, and by the afternoon I finally got a call from the prisoner.
　　"Emily! I think you already know the news of Hellen's disappearance. She is now at my place! You prepare five million dollars and send it to my villa right now, or I will kill her!"
　　The phone call was from Toby. I didn't think it was him who kidnapped Hellen!!! He kidnapped Hellen to threaten me because I didn't let Andre help his company. After all, I didn't lend him the money when he came to beg me that day!
　　"Toby! You're an asshole! A demon! How could you do this to Hellen?! She loves you so much!"
　　I broke down and yelled at Toby on the other end of the phone. I couldn't believe that the cowardly and timid Toby could do such a thing!
　　I thought that even if Toby didn't love Hellen, he should have some feelings for her, after all the effort he put into pursuing her, but I didn't think he could kidnap Hellen for money and threaten to kill her! He wasn't worth all the years Hellen waited, Toby wasn't worth Hellen's love at all!
　　"Scold me all you want. Before the sun sets today, if I don't see the money I will kill Hellen!"
　　Toby said and hung up the phone, when Andre was sent to find Hellen's people also returned the call. Just like the hospital had told me, Hellen had been dragged into a car and never returned!
　　"What am I going to do? It's my fault! If I hadn't gone to Toby, he wouldn't have known that Hellen and I were still alive and Hellen wouldn't have been kidnapped!"
　　I regret it very much now. I shouldn't have gone to seek Toby's help when Hellen was just sick, or Hellen wouldn't have been kidnapped today!
　　"Emily, it's not your fault. None of us would have expected Toby to do this. He was the one who was greedy and bad, and it had nothing to do with you. I'll let Lucy go get the money now. Don't worry, we'll be able to get Hellen back."

　　I held back my resentment and anger towards Toby and went to deliver the money to him in the company of Andre when Nathan's phone call came again.
　　"Emily. Where are you now? Can you come to my house right now if it's convenient for you... Ms. Jones is with me now."
　　"What are you talking about? Is Hellen really at your place? Can you put Hellen on the phone?"
　　This was a real surprise to me!
　　Hellen's voice came from the other side of the phone. I breathed a sigh of relief then couldn't control crying out loud anymore.
　　"Nathan. It's Vincent. Can you tell me why Hellen is at your place? We just learned that she was kidnapped."
　　"Kidnapped? I didn't know about it. I met Hellen on my way to work this morning, she was still in her hospital clothes and her hair was a mess. I asked her what had happened and she seemed to be very badly psychologically hurt and wouldn't say anything. I had to take her back to my house."
　　The phone was on amplification. I heard Nathan's explanation clearly and felt even more resentment toward Toby.
　　Before because he was my father, although I hated him, I always had great respect for him. But he kidnapped Hellen, which is unforgivable!
　　I returned the bank card to Andre and went with him to Nathan's house to retrieve Hellen.
　　We brought Hellen back to the villa where we were staying, and Andre went to get Hellen some water while I sat on the couch and asked Hellen what had happened.
　　"Mom. Can you tell me what the hell is going on here? Why did Toby say you were at his place? How did you get away with it? What happened in the meantime?"
