Chapter 53

Emily's POV
　　I don't know when I passed out, but when I woke up again, I was back at Andre's villa. I was lying on the big bed in my bedroom and turned my head to see Andre and Kate sitting next to me.
　　"Emily, you're finally awake."
　　I remember when I woke up, Andre and Kate were very happy, Kate excitedly jumped over and hugged my neck, Andre tenderly kissed my forehead.
　　I still remember the scene before I lost consciousness, Dylan took off his clothes and came towards me. Now my body was so exhausted, the feeling was the same as after Andre and I made love.
　　I tried desperately to hold back the tears from my eyes, not knowing how to face Andre, who had saved me from Dylan, would he see me pestering Dylan for sex like a slut? Would he think I was a slut who would take any man?
　　"Emily, why are you packing your clothes, are you going to leave me? You choose to believe the rumors on the internet rather than me, why is that exactly?"
　　Andre pointed to the suitcase in the corner of the room and sounded a little angry. I could see the disappointment and lack of understanding in his eyes, and I could even hear a little bit of aggravation in his tone.
　　But Andre wasn't the only one feeling sad, I remembered what I saw outside the restaurant that day, even though Dylan had told me it was all his and Kelly's plan.
　　But if Andre wasn't feeling happy, Kelly was in no position to make him smile. And Andre looked so happy that day that I couldn't believe his feelings for me.
　　"You lied to me that day. You told me you were at Jane's for lunch. But instead, I saw you in the restaurant with Kelly, and you were smiling very happily. And today Kelly came to the house and told me that you two were about to remarry and she asked me to move out of the villa. How could she have gotten inside the villa if you hadn't given her permission?"
　　Andre didn't answer my question right away as he walked out of the bedroom with Kate in tow. I watched his back as he left, thinking that he was admitting these things and therefore wouldn't answer me.
　　Tears were streaming out of my eyes, and I didn't want to cry, it would make Andre think I was very weak. But I couldn't control my emotions at all.
　　I sat up from the bed and tried to get my suitcase when Andre came into the bedroom from outside again. He saw me crying and sighed as he came to my side and held me in his arms to dry my tears.
　　"I met with Kelly because she offered to see Kate, I didn't know she had invited a reporter along. And I don't like Kelly, there's no way I'm going to remarry her, you were lied to by her, Emily."
　　Maybe I was fooled by Kelly, but at least she wasn't fooling me about one thing: Kate was her and Andre's daughter, and Andre cared about Kate, and he would one day abandon me to marry Kelly.
　　I controlled my heart and didn't look at Andre's gentle expression. I was worried that I would not be able to resist abandoning my innermost insistence and choosing to believe his words.
　　"Andre, I'm sorry, I want to trust you too. But you were married to Kelly because she was pregnant, you cared so much about Kate, and she is Kate's mother. There will come a day when you will marry Kelly again because of Kate's wishes. I don't want to wait until that day to be kicked out of the villa by you, I won't make it difficult for you, leaving now of my own accord is my best option."
　　I gritted my teeth and held back the tears from falling again. andre's arms around me began to contract and I couldn't breathe.
　　I could feel Andre's anger at my words, he was controlling his anger. But I didn't think I had said anything wrong enough to apologize to Andre.
　　"Emily, I care about Kate, but I care about you just as much. You're the love of my life, and there's no way I'm marrying another woman, whether she's Kate's real mother or not. And, I thought I should tell you the truth about something to prevent you from always feeling anxious and worried about it."
　　Andre lifted my chin and looked at me with a serious expression. The look in his eyes was so deep that I understood he wasn't lying to me.
　　I didn't say anything and waited for Andre to continue to tell me the truth of what he was about to say. My heart was very curious, but in the end, I didn't take the initiative to ask.
　　"It's true that I married Kelly because she was pregnant, and I chose to get married because I thought it was my child at the time. But I didn't expect Kelly to lie to me. Kate was two years old when she got sick and needed a blood transfusion, and that's when I found out that Kate and I don't have the same blood type."
　　I looked at Andre in shock, not expecting him to tell me such a thing. kelly is a very courageous person, she dared to choose to deceive Andre to marry into the Vincent family!
　　"I started to like you, not believing that Kelly would deceive me with something like this. But I couldn't trust her anymore, so I had a DNA test done for me and Kate, and the result was that Kate was not my child."
　　"She was Kelly's child with another man and Kelly was using her to deceive me! I was so angry that I immediately chose to divorce Kelly. But I couldn't leave Kate alone, she had been with me for two years and I loved her very much. So I didn't tell anyone about it, and neither did Wilson or Jane."
　　I finally understood why Andre never mentioned Kelly in front of me, any adult male can not tolerate his wife's betrayal and cheating.
　　But even so, when Andre mentions Kelly, I can still hear his disgust for Kelly in his tone.
　　Andre will never remarry Kelly unless he forgets the harsh truth, but Andre will never forget.
　　"Emily, I'm telling you this truth now because I don't want you to worry about Kelly anymore. But I still don't want anyone outside of us to know about it, including my parents. If Wilson and Jane knew that Kate's real father was not me, they would not approve of me raising Kate. I hope you can keep the secret for me."
　　I remembered Kate's lovely smiling face and Jane and Wilson's serious and indifferent character, and inwardly I didn't want them to know about Kate.
　　I like Kate very much, she didn't make any mistakes, everything is because of Kelly's greed and lies to make things the way they are now.
　　But this has nothing to do with Kate, and I think Andre feels the same way.
　　"Don't worry, Andre. this will be a secret between the two of us, and I won't tell anyone."
　　I agreed to Andre without hesitation, inwardly very touched by his kindness and greatness. I realized my mistake, a couple without trust is simply does not always love each other, I should not doubt Andre.
　　"Andre, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have doubted you. But I think I still can't stay by your side, I have made love with Dylan, even though it was because he gave me the potion, but it has happened, I have no right to stay by your side anymore."
　　Andre burst out laughing at my words and I looked at him quizzically, not understanding what was so funny about it that warranted his amusement.
　　"Emily, if you're worried because of this, I don't think it's necessary. Because I'm the one who fixed the effects of the drug and made love to you, I got to Dylan's villa before he did it to you, and you don't have to feel guilty about that."
　　I was relieved, although I also saw Andre that day, I thought it was my hallucination and did not take it seriously, but I did not expect that the person was Andre.
　　"Andre, do you know why Emma kidnapped me?"
