Aftermath!

Asher’s POV

It was dark day the sun wasn’t as bright as it used to be, the clouds were also as dull. To be honest it looked it was going to rain in the middle of summer, ever since Esteban sworn threats at us the pack hasn’t been the same, the kids rarely played there weren’t much happy moment anymore, everyone had to get involved in the training. We all had to learn a thing or two about defending ourselves, especially now, Esteban’s last attack left a mark in us and it wasn’t going to be easy to win this fight but we were determined and we had what Esteban didn’t, family. The training ground was full of wails and woes and the sounds of bones cracking and healing themselves, I watched as my mate easily took down a warrior, she was as fragile as a glass but as strong as a diamond. Watching her fight made me doubt her capabilities but at the end of it she always proves me wrong, I will do everything to protect her and this pack. But then again if hit me, what if we tried making peace with him?

“Are you insane? Who told you Esteban was someone we could make peace with?” I heard Ash my wolf say. 

“Why not? I think he’s just an angry man, who had a very bad childhood” 

“Yeah sure!”

“C’mon Ash, we can do better than that we’re alphas we can have a discussion and come to reasoning”

“Maybe you’re not getting this, Esteban doesn’t want to talk he doesn’t do talking, and if you as much try to get close to him without being armed that is being prepared for battle, you’ll be put under his fingers like a naked lamb and you and both know he’s not going to let you live after that” Ash explained, I get his point he was trying go make me see the monster in Esteban but all I could understand read the reason behind it, Ash was my wolf and his top priority is to keep me safe I get that but we were also Alpha’s and we were in charge of making sure that our pack is safe, and judging from the recent attacks going into war with Esteban will lead to a lot of blood shed and I was trying to avoid that. I took in a deep breath and exhaled there was no convincing him. 

“There’s no changing touring huh?” 

“Nope now get your ass up in to the battle ting and show them what we’re made of” Ash was also one to hype he was like our personal cheerleader, I got up from the log I was sitting on and let Ash take control, everyone could hear the cracking of my bones, as I transformed in to Ash, he was out snarling and carefully making his way to the battle circle, everyone made room for us to get through. I could see lidien from the corner of my eye as she started at me out of breath and inhaling quickly, she had just finished her right with one of the warriors and of course she won. I mind loved one of them to be my opponent but of course he bad to fight in his human form, a lot would say this was unfair but fighting Esteban isn’t. And Ash doesn’t go easy on any one. 



Lidien’s POV;

I was in the middle of a battle with one of the pack warriors, he was good, fast but I was faster. He charged towards me and I did same sliding underneath him and quickly sweeping him off his stability and pinned him down. I could see from the side of my eye Asher was starting at me, I know he still thinks I’m weak and fragile as I was before bit I’m not now I have powers, powers which I’ll use to protect my pack at all costs. I in haled a couple of times so I could calm my breathing and was about to call on the the warriors to come in the circle when I heard comes cracking, I looked in the direction it came from and I saw Asher transforming, he probably wanted to get involved in the action too. I dismissed the warriors and asked them to continue with out me

“Going to watch your pretty mate get hurt?” I heard my wolf say. 

“Get hurt? I pity his opponent instead”

I watched Asher fight with the warrior and the it occurred to me, what if this goes wrong and something happened to him? Or the pack? I was given this powers for a reason and I was going to use them. If Esteban thinks that after everything he has done to me and my pack and go free he’s sorely mistaken, I’ll make sure I put an end to his silly games. I watched as Ash easily takes down five warriors on their wolf forms, that’s my mate he wasn’t given alpha for no reason, I walked over to him as he transformed back into his human form and and handed him a pair of shorts. 

“Thank you”he said smiling, making me me blush slightly, he always has this sinister look everytime he looks at me like I was a piece of meat he wanted to shred to pieces. I looked away so that he would them on “ you know you don’t have to look away” he chuckled. 

“Just put your damn shorts on” I said making him laugh all the more. “ you know everyone ones you could take down those warriors, you didn’t need to show off” 

“I’m an alpha it’s kinda what I do” 

“Yeah right, ok so let’s be serious. What’s our plan ?”

“For the war?”

“Of course “

“It’s a good thing you asked, cause I’ve been thinking about it with Ash” 

“Mhm and what says?”

“At first I thought we should give him a chance”

“A chance?” I exclaimed making Asher shush me “a chance to do what kill us all?”

“Calm down Lidien, let me finish” he said to the Luna who was in a frantic state.

“Ok go on”

“But Ash put some sense in my head and now I agree with him, giving Esteban a chance would be like putting a knife down our throats”.

“Exactly! Maybe you’ve forgotten what he did to us, to me!” I said walking away this time. But Asher pulled me back. 

“Hey I haven’t, I’m just trying to see if there’s another way we can go about this” 

“There us no other way Asher, this is the only way” I said and his lips formed a thin line as he nodded in agreement.
