Dreams
Asher couldn't be any better, all he wished was to have a quiet life as before.
Although it was not all that quiet but at least one could say it was subtle.
He was at the point of giving up and all he could wish was for his father to be there to help him support his mate.
Asher felt he was not doing a great job at supporting Lidien hence the reason why she was extremely stressed and could not have the peace of mind she craved.
Like most Male Pups while growing he had a special bond with his father which he missed so much.
Having to go back and forth from the office, and court, and having to deal with Pack issues was super chaotic making him rethink his stand as a man towards his Luna.
She was not complaining but he felt less than a man when it came to her fighting the evils which by the way the Previous Moon goddess should have chosen him to do.
They hay had to choose their mate, their mate and make her go through turmoil.
Lidien was strong and tough, but for how long could he watch his mate burn and churn for this pack?
Growing up he always saw his mom and dad help each other and he loved how his father would console his mother whenever she came back from one of those responsibilities given to her as the Pack Moon goddess and he admired that.
The only problem now was, did he give his Luna that kind of support? Was she that quiet and not complaining because she felt he was incompetent in helping her out?
"Man you think a lot, our mate loves us dearly and I can feel it" Ash had to step in.
"But she doesn't make any demands or complaints, why is that?" Asher asked absent-mindedly as he lay in bed.
"Well probably because she understands that she has your support no matter what and you should stop complaining would you?" Ash scolded.
"Okay, I would, but I feel bad that she shoulders all of these" He continued to the dismay of Ash who was tired of giving Asher a pep talk.
Suddenly the room was quiet and Ash had gone back into his subconscious leaving his question unanswered Ashwr decided to have a brief afternoon rest, the Luna was somewhere out with Niel their pup, probably bonding.
The kid loved the gardens and the way flowers blossomed just like his grandmother hence Lidien had taken it upon herself since they returned from hiding to make his dreams and wishes come true of walking and running through the garden.
Asher briefly walked to their room window and sure enough, saw his mate and Pup running through the fields on instinct she turned to the window and gave him an are ksa ch he caught it and walked back to bed.
****Flash*****
They all went in one after another into the room The former seer inclusive she was an old lady too who had arthritis just by seeing the Alpha in that position, she knew for a fact that someday she was going to be weak all she needed to do now was console poor Asher, and try her best to make him all strong for what was in store for him just by looking at her Alpha she knew he would not make it and was just taking fragments of his last days on earth.
Of course, she couldn't tell Asher that, it would break the poor kid badly and he needed his strength for the war ahead and she was not even going to be alive to see it. Because the danger she saw coming was beyond their control and their enemies were well-prepared and stronger.
And having their Alpha and Luna down just proved the pack was in for yet another gruesome attack.
Side by side on the pack house bench was Asher and Mathias holding each other for comfort and Lidien walked in and as much embraced both boys not wanting them to feel a certain way about everything that was happening like most kids their age it was worth saying they behaved quite maturely they were not crying, or throwing tantrums or needing reassurance, Asher knew his parents needed support and if for anything worth it, he was going to render his moral support to his parents at this trying moment.
Edgar at that time being the Beta had never been one to talk to the kids as their Luna, did but he was not at a loss to give them the guidance to pave through the troubles of life.
The Luna tried a joke to cheer everyone up but her smile didn't reach her eyes and automatically tears poured out from those beautiful orbs of hers so freely and swiftly so much so that the seer told Asher to let her cry out what she was feeling rather than bottling it all in.
That alone was great being able to freely shed her emotions through tears and bottling them up turning suicidal.
It became nighttime.
They left to go change from the nightclothes before taking the Alpha to the hospital, everyone was solemn and in great thoughts, it was a Friday and Lilly volunteered to stay back and watch the Luna and Previous Moon Goddess who had been stroked super hard by whatever poison is a substance the attackers had shot her way when she was out fighting for their pack and this was gruesome.
Edgar and the Previous seer drove back to the hospital with some hot vegetable soup Lilly had made, meanwhile, Edgar went to check up on things at the two offices and then Lidien being the light of the day took Asher out of the house just to clear his head.
She has always been this supportive even from when he was just eleven years of age.
'I am the snowman, Olaf, Lidien said smiling with snow in both hands.
Seeing that it wasn't working.
She slowly raised him and decided they had some hot chocolate instead since it was the new season.
They went inside and she made them sandwiches before she called her mum Lilly to find out how their Alpha was doing, turns out he had woken up but had a relapse and this time it was worst than before because he couldn't talk or eat he needed a helping aid to eat which was a tube to be connected to his throat so all foods could be liquidated and easy for digestion.
It was hard seeing the Alpha and her mate in that state but she just kept on praying all he did was nod his head at whatever was said to him he was suffering and Asher's mother couldn't do anything to help him, he looked much pale and in pain, she ran out of the ward in tears not wanting to see her mate's suffering.
Time was going fast no improvement just his health deteriorating.
****End of flashback****
"I shouldn't be thinking that," Asher said as he jumped up from bed.
He had not been successful with sleep hence the thoughts which brought back some bad memories and a stale taste to his mouth.
"You sure did, it gives you closure each time you think of it you come up with solutions," Ash said and that alone made him see the reason for what Ash had said.
"Thank you so much Ash for being there, although we don't get along most times I appreciate you" Asher thanked Ash.
"Way to kill the vibe nitwit couldn't you appreciate me without reminding me we don't get along?" Ash whined but that only earned laughter which sounded genuinely from Asher and they both walked out to join the people who meant a lot to them playing outside.
