Turbulence

Asher's POV
I realized I loved Lidien as she sat quietly staring ahead at nothing. We had just finished making love in the bedroom, it was not as before but as a mate, to me, it was just a fulfilment of her duty to me as the head and she landed on the living room sofa, naked with her legs sprawled to one side, propped up on her elbow, and just staring quietly at the wall.

I watched the back of her head, wondering if she was thinking about me and what we had just done.

Breakfast was slowly cooking. I grabbed a tissue and quickly folded it into an origami swan, not an easy task with Kleenex.

It came out spectacular.

I brought it over to Lidien, I nudged her arm and handed her the swan. I placed it in her open palm, turned to the wall she had been staring at and, not daring to look back at her, I said, "I love you, Liddy"

I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding.

Still unable to face her, and tearing up, I said, "That swan is like my heart in your hand, delicate, vulnerable, helpless, yet beautiful. It's yours to do as you w---"

I was interrupted by Lidien loudly blowing her nose.

Spinning around, I watched in horror as she blew her nose again into the tissue, grimacing and using it to roughly extract mucus from her nostril.

"Oh my Goddess," I shouted, exasperated. "I am sorry Babe, please, I promise you I was never going to intentionally sleep with Hennessey" I begged

Lidien looked up at me as if just noticing I was there, yanked earplugs out of her ears that emitted the muffled beat and whine of loud music, and said, "I'm sorry. Did you say something?"

I shook my head.

"I was trying to beg you not to be too angry at me I know I have hurt you terribly and just from our love making you weren't invested Babe, you just were fulfilling your duties to me," I said.

I shrugged, still at a loss for words.

"I hope I'm not coming down with something." She placed her earplugs back in her ears, stared at the wall and dropped the used tissue onto the coffee table.

She didn't respond to what I had just said about loving her with all that I had in me.

Will I be able to cope with this? She had become withdrawn, and I knew we both needed our space at this moment but if she continued this way it hurt me as much as it hurt her.

*Ash please come help me out here" I called ok my wolf but he was mad at me, just super mad so much so that he wasn't receptive to our link anymore.

She got up and walked to the food I had cooked, as my peace offering she picked a few steaks and are of them before she slowly walked to Niel's room.

For some time now most nights she spent in Niel's room she had been avoiding me.

"Can I join you both?" I finally begged.

"I need just some time for me to process everything, please Asher don't push it, I need space" she pleaded.

I somewhat had to understand because it was my fault and I watched her put on her dress and then she to me and kissed me on the lips.

Just the kind of things she did even in her anger was what made me more guilty of what had happened, how could she be able to kiss me when she was happy or angry?

My phone rang on the table and when I went to see it was Hennessey who was calling.
"This woman doesn't listen does she?" I asked myself in a whisper.

"What the hell is this, why are you calling me?" I asked into the phone what the hell was this?

"Oh hi, baby? I remember when you were pounding into me you didn't sound this hitter or vile" Hennessey said as she was trying to get into my skin.

"Hennessey what do you want?" I asked her finally.

"I want you to be with me, I mean what better way would it be than having a man and his pup growing inside of me?" she said and this took me back.

"Excuse me, what did you say to me?" I asked as my mind couldn't comprehend what she had said just now.

"Please just do the needful, I can't possibly have to always tell you what to do, you fucked me so you got your seed growing inside of me, this is the result of not using the protection I gave you, you were just so overwhelmed with the curves the goddess blessed me with hence the reason why you pumped me with your seed" she spewed even more.

"What if you are mistaken, remember you always have men at your beck and call Hennessey" I tried to reason this was just so confusing and more devastating news for me.

"Come meet me let's discuss how we would have to make me your Luna else I would tell your mate and then your court case would escalate to something else I hope you know that?" she threatened a bit of sweat dripped down my face as my throat made numerous movements of me gulping down the information she had just told me and before I could continue with my questions she gave me her time and then the phone went dead.

"Oh men, you are toats at this point" Ash commented a comment which break me comes to numerous pieces as I was broken when mates fought it disturbed not just their lives but it disturbs their communication and it would make his mate weak as it made him weak already.

When they were all together it was a strong alliance but when it was broken as it was going the pack would be dysfunctional and the company's case would be disturbing too.

"I heard your conversation and I would tell you, so long as we are divided a lot of things would not go well, so I would make sure I and you would fight this together go and meet her" Lidien said.

I had not noticed she had come to the door but then I realised we had our mindlink open so she had felt my confusion and she had also decided to help fight this.

"So what do you mean, does this mean I should go ahead and go meet Hennessey, babe I promise you I didn't mean to sleep with her, if anything I felt like I had been hit with some strong hypnotic substance or so to make me act that way, remember when you were not at the park house I never for once looked at another woman, I didn't even flirt babe" I tried explaining.

"Oh come on you whimp, would you stop bursting our mate's ears with what you are saying she is tired and needs some rest" Ash commented.

"Oh Ash, I guess you've forgiven me too?" I asked in high hopes but he went silent once again.

What was up with this crazy nigga? I asked myself and he came back to remind me he heard what I had just said.

"My bad," I said raising my hands in the air.

"I have thought about it, we have a lot in store for us and having to check what Hennessey says we would have to be snappy so tomorrow we would have everyone close to us and we would use twenty-four hours to solve this case right now so that we focus on what is supposed to be done for the betterment of our lack and our company and our pups, oh Asher I love you but we would need to work on us after this," she said and all I could do was hug her so right that she had to push at my chest.

"Please don't ever do this to us ever in your life again I beg of you," she said and I felt the hurt in my heart as she was looking so down on what I had done.

"I promise I would not make that mistake or complications ever again," I said.

"Great so you would have to make sure you get what she wishes to tell you tomorrow," she said and I nodded my head. She kissed me and walked to our bed and went to sleep.

That night I could hardly close my eyes as I tossed and turned wanting to know exactly what it was I would be awaited with at the house of Hennessey so I decided to text her.

"I am not going to see you at your house, I am going to see you at a restaurant at the bed of the street at your home" I texted before turning and holding my mate with a tight grip, I couldn't let her go just like that she was my life.
