"Wade?" Julia called as Wade was deep and far in thought.
He was thinking of how fortunate he was to have had his pup taken without warning and then within the blink of an eye brought back to him in a night of pleasure.
No doubt he loved Ariana his adopted daughter with Julia but he also wanted to witness his mate giving birth and him having to have skin-to-skin contact with his newborn.
"Honey, " she called once again and this time she touched him on the shoulders.
He jumped and almost crashed into her with the way he jumped with his huge physique.
"You scared me there babe, what's up?" he asked as he held her arms and took her towards the bed.
"What were you thinking of?" she asked.
Wade couldn't explain to her that she was on his mind and the pup they were expecting was his preoccupation at the moment.
Not that he was doing the wrong thing but if he had told her what initially he was thinking of she might feel bad that he had not even accepted her daughter with some other wolf who was out there.
"I was thinking of how much I love you and I can't wait to be one big family of mama and daddy and our numerous pups" he replied which caused her to smile.
Unlike Luna who could get pregnant in a day and give birth at will when she pleased or if the shrine wanted her to do something Julia's pregnancy had to take its time and fully form in her tummy.
"Wade, you make me feel things I have never felt before, initially I had thought loving you and being selected by the moon goddess to be your mate was a wrong idea but I promise you, my heart loves you, and my heart can go a long way for you, I trust you and I want you all the days of my life, Ariana has a father because you have accepted to be her father, this pup growing in my tummy has a father because you accepted the responsibility of being a father to them, we l9be you and we would never be able to forget you in our lives," she said with tears in her eyes.
It was kind of an emotional spiral for her and Wade who had always tried his best to be a firm man and not a hopeless romantic of whatever he began to tear but it was just a little.
It was the first time she was saying something like that about any man. Clearly because being an omega she felt she would never have the love which she was getting now from him.
"Can we get married properly, I don't want anything elaborate but just something with our friends and the Alpha and Luna being our Godparents?" Julia asked.
"Os it the preggo hormones or do you mean that?" he asked happily he had been thinking about that but he kept being busy and at times even forgot he also had a family and could get married to her legally.
All he had in his mind was the fact that she has asked him to be with her without any concrete justification for that and still in shock, he wondered why he had not done the important and left her to do so herself.
It felt like in their relationship she was the one who always did the things the man had to do.
Romantically she was there to balance Wade because if it was to protect her and the family he did his job properly.
Two peas in a pod and they were just as compatible as they could be. So many things were going on in his head but the important was why she will feel like she was not worthy of love and maybe contaminated killing herself as she had done so many times when she was younger thinking nobody loved her he wanted her to love herself so he had to gather the courage to ask her that.
"Can I ask you a question?" he let out grinding his teeth inside his mouth his question drew her attention, it gave her a cold feeling about what it was he could want to ask her and a voice informing her that she will never know what he wants to say if she doesn't accept to listen to his question.
"Yes, you can," she responded after deliberating on it. Wade made sure that his query, was going to be straight to the point but not in a disrespectful kind of way so that he did not spoil what she had made an effort to arrange for some time now.
Was he going to be able to take away the burden that Julia was feeling inside? Or was his topic, just going to ruin everything?
Waiting to hear what kind of question he had for her, she wanted more time but Wade did not dare to ask her that so he kept on sitting quietly. Turning her head to look at him, she could see the tension which had clouded his face giving him a somewhat scared look and Julia thinking that he was about to ask her about the proposal she had made, her lips gave way and the question came out of her mouth and took Wade unaware.
"Do you want to ask me about the marriage proposal I made to you just now? Ain't you ready Honey? If yes, you can take your time hun I am not in a haste I love how you treat me with all the care and love and all you do for our family
"Are you serious about what you've just said, honey?" he asked her and she nodded.
"It is not that I don't want to be married to you Jules, it's because I want everything I do with you to be special" he urged her to understand.

It was a long day so they spent the day together the next morning Asher and Wade with Mathias left for the office when Wade bumped into a female investor whom he had always had a clash with at the office.
"Sorry about that " he apologised for what had happened and made to leave but she just had to be rude and disrespectful one could think it was because she secretly crushing on him.
"Asshole" she muttered but being a wolf his sharp ears heard what she had just whispered.
"Are you always like this with everyone?" he asked her.
"How am I behaving? she asked and Wade splashed it to her face saying,
"You are a very rude lady and to think that I was already happy inside of me that you are different from the other rich spoiled brats that I have seen, but no I was completely wrong about you," his words were harsh and she could not take it anymore and with her tension rushing up, she rose to her feet and asked him who he thought he was to talk to her in such a manner worse still to say things which he knew nothing about?
"That is the impression you are giving me as I went out of my way to apologise to you without even knowing you but here you are, giving me an attitude ma'am, a very disgusting one at that," he uttered feeling all terrible.
"Disgusting? Did you just say that to me?" she yelled out in an uncontrollable rage, realizing that her body was getting weak but she was not liking his tone and she could not leave what had happened to take place with him as no man was going to have the right to hurt her again, not even this man whom she felt a feeling of lust towards.
Wade could feel the heat that was gathering between them and he was not liking it.
Normally, he was not talkative and did not love to banter words with anyone most especially ladies as he was aware of the venom that they had in their mouths In the form of words.
"I can see that you are doing very well ma'am and if there is nothing to be done here anymore, I will take my leave now please do not be this vile to anyone anymore because, you did not create anyone and any life so you have no right to take it away or be harsh to anyone, no matter what you are going through, do not attempt to take your aggressions towards someone else again," he said before picking up and leaving.
"She seems to be that way when she is around you, I think she likes you," Mathias said to Wade.
"Man I've got a mate ler to forget that because I love my mate so deeply to ever forget about her because of a spoilt rich brat," Wade said.
"True now let's go meet Asher," Wade said ad they walked down the corridor.
They had to continue their search as to who had implicated Asher to be involved in the malicious acts of theft and killing and somehow they had made Hennessey return and she had to have returned and be interrogated because it was as though she had something to do with the implications he was talking about.
"She is back in the city we do make sure that we would have her confess what she knows" Mathias suggested.
"So how do we go about it?" Wade asked his superiors.
"I think I'll ask Luna she always had good ideas," Asher said.
"Great suggestion Alpha" They all answered in unison as they left for home after the work they had just done this day with Wade thinking deeply about his mate. He would privately ask Asher what to do if he should go ahead with the wedding she wanted.
He would do whatever it was to make her happy. They all did what they thought was wise for their mates and this was one of them.
"You look worried," Asher asked Wade as they had spoken to him but he was deep in thought while they drove back to the pack house.
"I need advice on something," he said and both Asjet and Mathias looked at each other before turning back to him waiting for what he wanted to ask since he had decided on asking both Mathias and Asher.
"I wish to...." the words did not complete because something happened. and they only heard screams.
