Like a baby

"My Goddess, Why is it dark in here?" Asher said as he walked into Wade's house or room-like space

He moved to the switch and put the lights on

"Look at you! Just why aren't you out there" Asher asked when he saw Wade sitting on the floor with a bottle of whiskey.

"Have you been drinking? What happened? You only drink when you are worried about something?" Asher said as he pulled a bit closer

"What happened?" he asked as she came to stand In front of Wade.

"Why aren't you at the Pack diner we are making merry for your father's freedom?" he implored.

" I asked a question first, So answer" Asher responded.

"Am not worried about anything, I just felt tired and I needed something to drink. " Wade finally said.

"Poor you, Are you thinking about your dad, You are like this because you want him right?" Asher asked

"You guessed it right," Wade said and took a sip of his whiskey once more.

"It took me a while right, I knew there must have been a reason you would be this detached but Why? Are you not happy he is free from oppression?

"I just feel weird, I thought we would have a score to settle" Wade explained.

"You never told me what that score is? Will you tell me now" Asher asked Cautiously.

"You don't need to know, It's something that happened years ago, "he said getting up

"Di you think your mother won't have feelings for your father or what?" Asher asked.

"Even if I feel something, It doesn't mean that we won't be taking our revenge on the bad spirits that have disturbed our pack," Wade said trying a smile.

"We would get that revenge," Asher said finally.
"Yes with the help of Lidien, everyone should be fine trust me and you would build that relationship with your father for his records, you can bring your mother here if you want," Asher said to him and he was more shocked.

"Take yourself out there for it is a time to make merry our problems are over and you shouldn't bother yourself about him hurting anyone anymore he is free and a lot of changes have been made in him and for the records, he can make you and your mother happy so go on" Asher pulled him and they had a walk to the packhouse garden where everyone was at and Estaban looked like a newborn pup who had just received a fresh beginning and sure enough he had received a fresh start.

Their walk to the spot was slow but it was determined as Wade was feeling emotions of fatherly life he had not felt forever and he had longed for.

The merriment came to an end for Luna to bring heavy at the moment and was tired she couldn't take alcohol because if she did she was a mess and a horny Mate not that Asher was complaining but then she just didn't want it to be that difficult.

They all went to bed and hoped the next day held enough fruit for them.

Phone rings*
"Hello," Asher answered.
"Hello this is Hennessey and just wanted to say I would like to talk with you and Luna if it is okay with you," She said into the phone.

"Okay, I would tell Luna and see if she would want to come," Asher said and stopped the call.

True they say, had I known comes after all the crazy shit, Hennessey regretted being like her mother, hell if she could turn back the hand of time she would do so and very fast if she might as well add.

She had given birth to the child in her womb and hence she didn't know who the father was also she didn't want the child to end up with just anyone so she decided she would give the baby to Luna and Alpha just as the seer had said was going to happen.

She has had a crazy lifestyle and she was happy Ariel was going to be with a disciplined mother and father at least she knew her daughter would not end up as she and her grandmother did.

There was a time she had taken it upon herself to send apology messages to Asher although they were messages because Ryan made her do so so she could seduce him into her bed but some of it was a sincere plea.

Although Asher didn't reply to any of the messages she knew he saw them and that was enough to make her smile because she knew she was a step closer to making amends for her wrong deeds.

She pretended to be fine so many times in front of Asher when she was with Ryan who battered her continuously but she was a broken vessel and record to reckon with.

She saw the way Asher looked at Lidien they had a language just they knew without saying a word to each other. 

They were a power couple and nothing could break them and she definitely could do nothing to destroy what they had.
That she learned the hard way.

Who'd have known she'd be thinking of changing so soon? She was badass and the light of the party but here she was not even knowing what to do but repent for her evil and wayward lifestyle.
Ahh, was being dubious worth it?

The law of revenge?

What was the law of revenge? Cause she felt just hurt and disgusted for herself right now.

Was it worth it?
She wasn't proud of herself not one bit.
She was working toward being a perfect person for the future and if she ever got acquitted she was going to try to be a good person.

She had tried to have great conduct while in prison so if she was sentenced it could be reduced because of her good conduct and she would try as much as possible to give good to her community.
"Who was that on phone?" Lidien asked as she had been in the bathroom when. he received the call.
"Oh, that was quite strange what does she want now? Did the verdict not tell her she was not allowed to do or say anything to us?" Linden asked.
"She wants to tell us something she has not us ever," Asher said waiting for his wife to reply.

"Okay, that's fine, no problem we would go there," Lidien said and just turned and went to Niel's room making Asher dumbfounded because he had not expected her to accept so fast.

As Hennessey was in her thoughts she was told she had visitors, it was Asher and Lidien on seeing them she bend her head in shame and this surprised Lidien because she was used to seeing a very fierce Hennessey who always wanted to fight back at every opportunity but looking at her right now, she saw someone different, she tried to push forward and asked in a little provocative manner,
"Hey beautiful, why do you look down?" she asked sarcastically just the same way Hennessey always behaved when she came visiting.

But Hennessey didn't retaliate with slang as usual rather she looked deep into their eyes and for the first time, Asher saw tears drop down from her eyes.

They were trying to be careful once beaten twice shy.
Luna was now taken aback she looked at Asher a little confused.

She asked her what was wrong, but trying to be careful threading on that ground, it was sinking sand as they all knew it to be and that's when Hennessey burst into a fit of tears and began asking for forgiveness and how she was willing to make everything right she asked Lidien if it okay for her to give her child Ariel so she could take care of her.

"Wait I don't get it, you want me to take care of your daughter?" Listen asked.
And suddenly she had a vision of what the seer had said and she looked to Asher who nodded in acceptance because they had no choice but to accept what was happening

She explained a lot of things to them about the plans they had to destroy her family and that just made the topping on the pattie, she spilt a lot of things that could help them get to the final stop of eradicating all the evil fast and even his hideout which was at a warehouse not too far from the Pack.

Looking at one another they could only be perplexed by the information they had gotten.

Leaving the Prison hospital she held Ariel in her arms and they walked to the car waving Hennessey for what seemed to be the last time and she blew air kisses to her pup as she was taken in.
