CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE.

(Gabriel's POV)

I knew she was close by as I heard a scent again, it as the strongest scent I have gotten from a female, Yes I knew she was mine, but I needed to take things easy with her and though I don't think it was the right time to tell everyone in the Alphas pack yet

It was one of the reasons why I had visited the Alpha, even as I was walking past the street I had that scent which I stopped, but I looked around to see if I was going to find it, but I couldn't, at some point she was far gone, I couldn't get her scent anymore.

Just as the Alpha and I strode through the hallways again this happened for the second time, just like a whirlwind, I could sense her coming towards us, even when I had not seen her physically, I could sense that she was approaching.

That was before I saw the young man, coming close to the Alpha, I didn't understand what was going on and in that split second, I saw her, I saw my Luna again, my heart beat increased as our eyes met again.

Truth be told, I was about smiling at her, or probably waving slightly to her. It has been a while since I had seen her, and everyday I look forward to seeing her and taking her as my mate, but it wasn't going to be easy just like I thought. I didn't know if she wanted my attention at the moment.

But something struck me as I smiled at her, my lips gradually came back in position, I could see the pains in her eyes, she probably wasn't there to see me nor was she there to wave to me or even to say a goodbye.

She wouldn't have said she couldn't recognize me, she definitely did, but it seemed like all of that didn't matter anymore, there must be something wrong somewhere here.

Everything happened in a split second and I could see her glued to the ground, she wasn't moving nor saying anything, it seemed like she was trying to say something, but her voice just couldn't be heard.

As soon as Elder Morris had finished speaking with the Alpha, She had assured the Alpha who stood close to her that there was no issue, The Alpha and I left the hallway as I headed back to meet my other subjects who had accompanied me to see the Alpha.

But as I stride with the king, everything didn't seem right with me, I just knew that there was something wrong again and probably my Luna needed my help this time again.

But I didn't want to be quick this time, I needed to be really careful to avoid putting anyone in danger or even causing chaos amongst the pack.

Married, remembering her name from those times I had taken her to the hospital.

The Alpha had somehow been shocked by how I knew Liora as she was fondly called in the pack.

“Oh Liora you mean to say king ?” He asked as he bowed a bit.

“Yes Liora, What does she do for the pack now ?” I asked.

“She assists Elder Morris at the nursery, she takes care of our injured or wounded warriors when the need arises” The Alpha replied with a smile.

“Good, she is hardworking I guess” I asked, trying to put up a smile. Even when I knew that I needed to know what was wrong, everything that happened in the hallway didn't sit right with me.

“She is hardworking and beautiful, I know a lot of the subjects who have an eye on her” The Alpha said.

I just couldn't imagine this, Who on earth as an eye for her, this shouldn't happen, not just my own Luna who I had been protecting, they could all go out to search for their Luna's I thought as I walked to the house where my other subjects stayed for the moment of time I was speaking with the Alpha.

“May we see again” The Alpha said as he bowed his head to greet me.

He had assured me that he was going to assign some of the cooks to get us a good meal before we left.

“May we meet again” I answered, nodding my head, I needed to have some rest before leaving.

I looked around as I smiled, Although I still had the thoughts of Liora getting me extremely worried.

The Alpha' and his pack turned and left back to his abode, while I walked into the house to have some rest. Just as I walked into the room, I hinted to one of my subjects who was there the other time when I had saved Liora to help me get her, I actually needed to see her before my return.

He understood the assignment as he hurriedly left to search out for Liora and ask her to meet me at the reserved house.

I knew it might be difficult for him to get her or even convince her to come along, but at least I knew she could recognize me as if she was thankful that I saved her life, she would need to just follow him instead of refusing.

I sat down on one of the chairs as I waited patiently for my trusted subject to get back and relay any message to me. It has almost taken a couple of hours, I had eaten some of the food brought to me by some of the cooks just as the Alpha had said, and still yet, my subject wasn't back.

I couldn't say what was exactly wrong, or what needed to be done, I had actually told him to search for her at the Nursery since she would be there with Elder Morris. The Alpha had told me that she worked there, except if he wasn't truthful.

Just as I was lost in thoughts, my trusted subject came back to the house, though I couldn't get her scent which was unusual, I hurriedly dashed out to see for myself, and honestly my instincts were right, she didn't come with him.

“Where is Liora ?” I demanded as I stared at him angrily, I thought he was going to carry out my orders carefully and get to Liora.

He bowed his head immediately before raising his head to talk to me.

“I saw her king” he replied.

“Why didn't you tell her that I needed to see her ?What stopped you from bringing her?” I yelled angrily.

My subject hesitated for a while before breaking the sad news to me.

“She was confined in the Nursery alone, no one was allowed to go in” he answered as his words poured like water.

“Confined ?” I yelled.
