CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVEN.

(Arthur's POV)

Everyone had their seat which followed the beats of a loud drum in the grand Hall.

I looked around as my eyes moved back and forth scanning the room, I honestly liked what I was seeing, and I was honestly grateful to everyone who had put this up.

I raised my hands for a second time, and then the drummers stopped as I addressed the people.

“I'm going to make this a short and brief announcement, but firstly I want to thank everyone for showing up even without knowing my reasons for asking everyone to gather here” I said as I held a cup of wine in my right hand.

However, I looked round again as I intended to carry everyone along with me as I spoke.

The chandeliers in the room shone brightly as they made the grand Hall look exquisite. I could see the packs cheering me on as I continued to talk.

“We all know how, my ex, my Luna, and my wife- Meliora was caught red-handed on the sacred bed with another man which was an abomination to the pack, I had solely stripped her off her position and then divorced her” I paused.

The council of elders nodded their heads as they gave an affirmation to what I had just said. Indeed Meliora was caught on the bed with another man, that was an abomination to me, who was the Alpha of the pack.

I definitely had to stare at everyone in the eyes to see which of the people were actually on my side, and to be factual, everyone also confirmed my words.

“Well, it's been months and everyone knows that I have waited too long without a Luna and if I decide to take one today, I do not think that I am being too forward at this point, I need my Luna, and definitely I deserve an heir” I announced as I smiled.

I had decided to take my time in spilling this out, and every word I knew to justify my actions of taking a new Luna was what I had definitely memorized before today. I wanted everyone to see it from my point of view, at least an Alpha needs a Luna, I don't think any of them had expected me to remain celibate since Meliora was going to be guilty.

One of the senior elders of the council stood up to give some words as I had encouraged him to do so before now, we were the master of the game, we had planned this out before today.

“Indeed the Alpha has been a real man, he had been lonely and alone all this while since Meliora -the witch was caught having an affair with Owen, and that being said, I support the Alpha on this, He should choose whoever the moon goddess has laid in his heart as his Luna” The senior wiser supported as he nodded his head towards me before smiling.

I loved this, every plan was working in my favor at least.

As soon as he was done talking, I could hear a lot of the pack talk to themselves as the majority of them were I support if I take another Luna. I was indeed quick enough to make sure I didn't give anyone else the permission to talk, just like I needed to follow a script.

“So today, I come before the pack to announce to everyone to whom the moon goddess had laid in my heart as my Luna, I hope everyone accepts her, and give her the respect that is due, I hereby call in Zoey as my Luna” I spilled my words authoritatively making sure they understood that Zoey was not an ordinary wolf but my Luna now 

Suddenly, there was silence in the room, and it sounded like a lot of them didn't hear what I had just said, probably they needed to confirm my words again, but honestly, I want to be ready for this drama. I was going to repeat myself just this once and I expected everyone to rejoice.

Though, some part of me feared that Zoey might not be liked by the members of the pack, knowing fully well she was the step-sister to my ex-wife.

“I hereby call in Zoey as new Luna” I said as I smiled.

But this time there was a loud horn of trumpet as they all stood up to welcome Zoey into the grand hall. Zoey had been waiting outside the grand hall just like I had instructed her to do so, in a swift moment the door of the Grand Hall was opened and then Zoey walked into the room majestically with a smile on her lips.

I didn't care if anyone wasn't in support of her becoming my Luna, and just like I had promised her, anyone who tried to defile this order was going to face the consequences.

Zoey walked in slowly towards me, there was a chair reserved for her close to me, that was where she was going to be sitting henceforth and anyone who wasn't comfortable with that would pay dearly if he or she challenged me.

Her steps were practiced and deliberate, she walked in like a princess, and in a few seconds she was standing close to me. I needed to show her to the pack and make sure she was being treated specially from henceforth before our marriage ceremony.

“This is Zoey, my Luna, I would implore everyone to love her, cherish her and obey her words, if you defile her orders obviously means I'm being disobeyed, Give her the respect due for her, The marriage ceremony would commence soon” I announced as I held one of her hands softly and helped her to sit on the chair close to me.

There was a loud shout of celebration as the drums were being beaten again, which was followed by the loud sound of the trumpet close to us. At this point the event started as the pack members danced and rejoiced on the new Luna.

I stared at Zoey as I smiled, this was a sign that our plans were coming into reality, and I wouldn't stop at anything to see that we had our marriage rites.

I had ordered for the food to be given to every member of the pack that had attended the meeting, I was overjoyed, as I couldn't find anyone who had objected to Zoey as my Luna.
