CHAPTER SEVENTY-FOUR.

(Meliora's POV)

He stared at me, waiting to hear a response from me, but I didn't utter a word. I was in pain. I was really disorganized, though I had wished that it had been possible for me to have a conversation with him.

However, I was determined to get to the bottom of everything and get the truth. Maybe at that time, I was going to expose all of them to the Alpha and then the Lycan king.

I had also wished that the Lycan king could read my mind and notice that I was pleading to him. I was in danger, and that was the truth.

Elder Morris tapped me slowly as she whispered into my ears.

“You need to smile, it only seems like you are hiding things with your expressions, don't forget the deal.” she said her voice barely above a whisper.

I forced a smile on my lips as I looked at the Alpha and the Lycan king, I needed him to believe that I was safe.

“Meliora, are you sure that you are fine, safe and not confined in the room earlier? " The Alpha asked with a low voice.

“Yes, I am. I'm good, and I'm not confined to the house. I just needed rest earlier, that's why In slept in the room, there was probably a misinformation of news” I responded as my eye moved a bit.

He moved his body, this time just like he had a shock or had seen something, I guess he probably got a message from me.

He walked closer to me and watched me closely, maybe my eyes were going to blink this time, but no, it didn't. I stood firm. until he was done He turned swiftly and walked back to the king.

“She is okay, she can go now” The Lycan  king said to the Alpha as he walked to have a seat.

The Alpha nodded and smiled a bit, hinting to Elder Morris to take me back to the nursery. He also felt that I was safe.

Just as Elder Morris led the way out of the chambers, there was a word from the Lycan king that made the both of us stop walking.

“I want to have a word with Elder Morris, Meliora can leave now” he ordered.

Elder Morris moved quickly, hinting me to leave the room. She walked towards the Lycan king to hear what he had to inform her.

I moved out quickly as I hurriedly walked out of the room, making sure I found my way back to Martha, or to my room to get ready for the worst. I had planned on leaving nevertheless, and nothing was going to stop me.

I also wanted to inform Martha to speak with the Lycan king, telling him that I wanted to see him. I knew he wasn't going to overlook it if Martha called my name to him. I had planned on asking him for help, immediately Elder Morris was done explaining things to me, I didn't trust her and I needed to leave immediately.

As I walked out of the chambers, I walked to the other side of the building, after which I walked down to get to Martha, but just as I was almost close to Martha's place, I heard a voice from the wolves who were hired, just like he was directly instructed to apprehend me.

Not only that, but I turned slowly as I stared back at him, my heart raced as my eyes met with his.

“Why are you in a hurry Meliora, are you done with seeing the Alpha and the Lycan king? " He asked.

“How on earth were you told that I had gone to see the Lycan king? Have you been stalking me now” I asked.

“No, I haven't been stalking you, but from the order above, it seemed you were meant to be confined, you aren't meant to be outside” he said.

“Well, that was before, not now, I ain't confined anymore, you can ask Elder Morris who is in charge” I responded

“It was Elder Morris who had sent us here to get you” one of the guards replied

I scoffed, not understanding what they were trying to drive at, Elder Morris had promised to let me go Or probably they were not aware of the new plan.

“Well, that's why she had given me this seal” I said, dipping my hands into my pocket to show them exactly why I needed not to be confined anymore.

My hands had reached the limit in my pocket, but I could find the seal anymore. I searched the other pocket, but nothing was there.

Somebody had removed that again from pockets, and who was that? I was sure that it hadn't fallen from my pockets. I wasn't careful enough to have noticed that someone had actually picked it.

It was only the Lycan King, The Alpha, Elderorfis and I that was in that room, how on earth was the seal lost at the moment?

The guards watched as I fought with my thoughts, I didn't know what exactly had gone wrong, the seal was a pass for me, what was exactly going to happen if I don't provide it to them.

“Wait a minute, I think I had dropped it in the Alphas room, I need to get it back” I replied as I turned around.

But a husky voice from the guard who was in front of me stopped me and made me turn back.

“There is no time for this, that's to yourself. We do not have that time to wait for the seal” he said.

I stared into his eyes not understanding what was going on, this was another predicament that was about to befall me, I could remember how Zoey and Arthur set me up and made me lose everything, I had gnashed my teeth and swore to get my revenge when it was the right time, and now someone here was manipulating me again, and it seems like history was about to repeat itself.

This made me hate Zoey, Arthur, Elder Morris and the secret being behind all of this.

“He is trying to say that you need to be confined again,” he said, giving a wicked smile.

I knew this was another strategy, in fact another game, it was all planned, but they all seemed like they were just performing their duties normally.

I turned quickly as I tried to run away from them, my feet reaching my head as I tried running away.  I needed to get back to the Lycan king to explain things.

But unfortunately, their hands got me, and they dragged me away back, intruding to free myself, but it seemed like no one cared whatever was happening to me.

Tears streamed down my face, as I cried, I had made a mistake again,

The door swung open again, and I was pushed into the room, before I tried to run out, the door was shut again. I cried falling l to the ground while sobbing.
