CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR.

(Meliora's POV)

That was indeed a close one, who would have thought that I had left the room without being noticed, it was clear that everything could be made possible.

My mind flashed back to the guy who had come into the room earlier to give me some clothes to change into. He still didn't say who had actually sent him to help me, it was obvious that that person saw Martha and I the previous night trying to escape.

There was no better explanation to say that he just met me there and gave me the clothes to change into, although he had refused to reveal his identity, but I was confidently sure that he was sent by someone who knew that I was in danger.

I was almost looking like a male warrior at this point, I stared around carefully trying to figure out where Martha was being kept.

Prior to this time, I had waited for Martha to arrive, but it seemed like it was taking too much time when I was back there in the house, and it was then that the guy barged into the room, he called out my name and promised that he was only there to help.

I looked through as I walked past the people who stood close to the environment, I had taken a few steps away from them, when I heard them saying that there was an outbreak of the Rauna Curse and one of the girls had been taken to the Alpha's dungeon.

I had always heard of the Alpha's dungeon, but I couldn't say where it was or how to locate it.

What exactly do they mean by the Rauna Curse outbreak? I had initially thought that it was an orchestrated  game or probably plan to achieve that secret thing she was hiding from everyone.

And I obviously knew that Martha would be with Elder Morris at the moment. I walked confidently to one of the girls standing, thank goodness my face wasn't visible, I just needed to act like one of the guards to get the information.

I walked slowly as I approached the young lady sitting close to some dishes.

“Where exactly is the Alpha's dungeon? I asked, just like a guard would do.

She stared at me in surprise, maybe she had wondered why a guard wouldn't know the Alpha's dungeon. After hesitating for some time, she turned to me, pointing in the direction.

I left immediately without even saying a thank you to her, I knew just like they had called it an Alphas dungeon, I was definitely walking into a dungeon myself.

Just as I walked behind the walls which the girl had pointed earlier, I spotted some other guards walking towards the same direction, they were walking into a gate which seemed like that of Hell.

As we were about to walk into the gate there was a man standing in front of the gate, if I was correct he was asking the guards a few questions before he gave them a go ahead to walk into the gate.

He had asked a few guys before me and I could hear them giving different responses. I honestly was confused at this point, I knew that I needed to answer correctly or else I would be noticed and then arrested for treason.

Luckily, The two guys ahead of me were asked the same question, and surprisingly they gave the same answers.

He then made way for both of them to make their way through the gate.

“Who is in charge ?” He asked looking at my eyes,

It was all good that I was underneath the mask, but that didn't mean my expressions couldn't be detected if I didn't act really well.

I didn't say a word for some moment, I was unsure of the question and I also didn't know the right answer for this.

The man walked closer to me again as he bent his head, his eyes meeting mine.

“Who is in charge?” he repeated, waiting for a response

“Elder Morris” I managed to speak as I answered.

“What segment or case ?” he asked, looking at me again suspiciously.

This was really confusing, I knew answering incorrectly might make it obvious that I was impersonating one of the guards

I hesitated for some moment, and then I nodded my head in response without saying anything.

He stared at me again, trying to hear what I had just heard

“You should speak louder ?What segment?” He asked.

Something just like an idea popped up on head as I answer him

“It's an emergency, I didn't bother to check that,” I added, speaking confidently.

He didn't say a word again, he continued staring at me, I knew he had started suspecting that I was suspicious.

“You should know, you can't get in without that” he added

Just as he finished speaking, one of the wolves from the pack moved closer to him and whispered some words into his ears. That was an opportunity for me to move, I silently walked in making sure he didn't notice.

I made my way quickly and headed down to the second gate, there was actually no one securing the second gate.

When I got to the second gate I paused for a moment, knowing fully well the consequences if I was caught inside, I was never going to come out alive.

I moved gently, and undetectable as I approached another door after the gate. This door wasn't as hard as the gate earlier. One of the guards had pushed the door slightly, and he was in a few seconds, I twisted the door knob and walked into the room.

My eyes widened as I stood and watched what lay ahead of me. This was indeed a dungeon, there was no atom of peace in here, and just like I had said earlier it exactly looked like hell it was really large.

I was shocked to see some of the members of the pack in the dungeon, most of them were weak and tired. I walked midway through the passageway, as I followed the echoes of the voice heard.

Just as I got to the end point, I stood behind a door and looked into the room, as my eyes moved, my eyes met with her. It was Martha, she was there laying weak on a chair.
