CHAPTER SIXTY-EIGHT.

(Owens POV)

I drove into the garage as I sighed from the stress of the long trip. Ever since I was banished, it really hadn't been quite easy. I had been going on road trips to at least get to meet people and maybe join a new pack.

I got the brakes once more as I rested my head on the wheels, I was tired, and I actually needed rest, Though one of the reasons why I had engaged in the trips was because I still had hope before now that Meliora was alive. Not only that, but I had thought that I might have seen her somewhere, maybe lost in the woods or finding her way back to the pack.

If I could recall this was the sixth time that I had engaged in a road trip and all I could say was it was draining and not even encouraging, I had not even found Meliora's hair on the road not to mention seeing her body.

At this point in life, I just knew that Meliora was dead, I mean she might have even written to me or even called me during these months if not even years.

I raised my head from the steering as I managed to open the driver's door and got out of the car. Probably, I had just needed to focus back on my life and stop giving myself a false hope that Meliora was alive, it was crystal clear that she was dead and was killed by Zoey.

I turned to the passenger seat to pick up my bags that I had used from the road trip. I honestly felt lost, weak and hopeless at this point.

I just wanted to get into the house and take a quick nap before even eating but just as I was about to get into the house I noticed a letter hanging on the box.

The postman must have knocked for hours without getting a response, that must have prompted him to drop the letter by the box.

I had even been away for four days and I knew that I probably had gotten a letter from someone. I knew it was either my father who had sent it or James, and definitely I knew there was something up somewhere which I needed to figure out.

They might have probably tried to reach me on the mobile phone, but maybe the signal was down.

I quickly switched the bag on other hand as I reached out to get the letter from the box. Like I said, I was exhausted, but I still needed to know who had sent the letter and also to know the content of the letter.

I twisted the door knob as I walked into the house, however, I locked the door behind me.

I dropped my bags on the chair and walked into the bedroom to get a grip of the letter and then read it out well.

I flipped the letter to the other side, as I walked into the bedroom, and the name James was boldly written on it. I just knew the letter was from him. At least he was the only one in my pack before whom I was still connected with.

Furthermore, I didn't know why he had sent the letter and this left me with no other choice than opening the letter to get the information needed to be passed.

I walked closer to the window where I knew that light penetrated through, I stood for some seconds before opening the letter. And just like I had predicted I knew it was something pertaining to Zoey and Arthur and the sight of this had gotten me furious.

Everything that happened that day kept flooding back to my memories and I found myself wishing that I could strangle them at the moment. The more I thought about this, they had indeed succeeded in Killing Meliora and just as they had said during that voice tape, they were planning on getting married.

My eyes blinked as I got to the part where Patrick had written that Arthur had announced that his new Luna was Zoey, and they had intended to commence with the marriage rites and ceremony very soon.

I collapsed on the bed as I was fueled with annoyance. I wish I could get back to the pack and probably kill them. I knew from the onset that Zoey and Arthur were not to be trusted, they were evil and were saying their games really well.

The letter still has some other content, but I didn't care. I was about to throw away the letter into the trash bin, so when I decided to just place it on the table close to my bed, I could probably read it out later.

I knew I was out of control at the moment so I could tear the letter or just burn it, if I wasn't controlled, I placed the papers on the table and left the room to get some shower and then probably have some nap. The trip has been a long one, and still yet, it has made me realize that Meliora is dead.

I pulled off my clothes as I walked into the bathroom to have some cool bath, I knew that was going to help cool off from the fury burning right through my soul.

The cold water penetrated into my skin and I felt the pang of annoyance washing away as the water settled on my body. Within a few minutes, I was done, I cleaned up immediately and then headed back to the bedroom to have some nap.

I just still didn't want to believe the truth that Meliora was gone, I wished I had the time to tell her how much I loved her and how much I would love to take care of her till eternity. But all of this was a waste now that she was dead.

I just wished she could hear me out and come back to live, I had promised to make things right this time.

I walked back to the bedroom and put on something light to be free from the whole world crushing on me, and as well something like my instinct just instructed me to finish up with the letter before taking a nap just as I had planned before.

I grabbed the letter from the table and quickly rested my back on the pillow which sat right on my bed. My eyes quickly scanned through as I continued from where I had stopped reading earlier, in as much as I wasn't interested in the letter anymore, I just needed to finish it up.

But suddenly, something on the letter caught my attention, in a quick movement I stood up as my eyes found the words again. It was written boldly:
“I FOUND OUT SOMETHING AGAIN”.
