CHAPTER 21

"I don't know! It's hot a while ago and right now it's too cold!" I said and even if I am concerned with the situation of my body I instantly saw how Raphael frown after he heard what I just said, it is as if he really did not expect that I would say what I just said.

"Are you serious about that?" he asked again and I literally raised an eyebrow at him because why the hell will I be joking at this moment and the fact that I do not exactly know what the heck is happening to me pisses me off big time! Like what the hell is this feeling - while ago I am feeling too hot now I am feeling too cold like seriously?



I am about to ask him what the hell is going on with me when suddenly I felt something different again inside my body and it is a lot more intense than the hotness and coldness that I felt because what I am feeling at the moment instantly made me fell down on my knees and I even started clutching my chest because it is really making me too uncomfortable.



"Dawn Scarlett, can you describe to me what is happening to you?" I heard him say but instead of answering him all I am able to let out from my mouth is a simple groan because it is obvious - whatever I am feeling right now really makes me unable to utter a single word. As time passes by, the way I clutch my chest grew tighter and I am also getting a little bit dizzy because what I am feeling continues to intensify and I feel like I need to release it in order to free myself from such feeling.



I know that my eyes are about to shut down - as it will only take about a few minutes when suddenly I saw the little fox with nine tails right before my eyes although it was quite blurry I know that he is right in front of me - looking straight at my eyes and it is as if it is waiting for my orders, but what would I actually say to this fella?



But then again even if I do not know what I am going to say the words 'help me' instinctively came out of my mouth and as if on cue the uncomfortable feeling inside my body little by little disappeared or rather it lessened. My eyesight also started to get a little bit clearer than it was a while ago and I am no longer catching my breath as if I am going to lose consciousness which only means that I am starting to regain the original situation of my body. Really, I am about to celebrate but for some reason, I wasn't able to do so because at the same time that my body is starting to recuperate orbs appeared right before my eyes. There are actually two orbs right in front of me, one is a fiery red one - it is really blazing, the other one is clear however there are crystals that surround it and the next one is a gold one, I don't know but it is really glowing so bright.



"Master when will you give me my name?" I heard a voice inside my head and then my eyes instantly shifted from the orbs back to the little fox right in front of me and again, he is looking at me intently as if he really is waiting for me to give him something. Is he the one who spoke inside my head? If that is the case then I really have to give him a name right now - obviously, the little guy is also the reason why am I able to ease the uncomfortable feelings inside my body - if not for him then I may be already unconscious and I am already lying on the ground.



But what name would be suitable for this little white fox with nine-tails, since he looks like an arctic fox and arctic foxes live by the snow and since nine-tails mainly came from Japanese folklore then I'll name the little guy Yuki - the Japanese translation of the word snow.



"Then I'll call you Yuki," I said and as if on cue I heard a purr inside my mind, and then the little nine-tailed fox right before my eyes started to glow or rather his whole body released this blinding light but the thing is I am not blinded by it - it was more of a comfortable and warm light. That light went on for a couple of seconds before it completely disappeared and when I looked at the nine-tailed fox who I named Yuki I knew that something has changed because right now he has this red mark on his forehead. As if on cue, he jumped from his position to my shoulders and he just sat there as if he finally found his favorite spot.



"Oh finally you've given him a name"I heard Raphael said which instantly made me look back at him again but the thing is although he said that I could see on his face that he is still quite shocked and that his eyes are still plastered on the orbs that appeared right before my eyes. But wait, how exactly did he knew that I have given the little fox a name? I know that I haven't really said that name out loud it was really more of a whisper so there is no way he would hear that I have given the little fella a name. "I do not know what name you've given him but I know that you have already did so because I can already see him clearly right now compared to the image I have of him awhile back" he added to what he had just said and that made me astonished for a second - so, giving this little fella a name allows other people in seeing him? Then if I got of the library people will already be able to see too just like how Raphael is able to see him? Wait that should not be bound to happen! I mean hello? What would other people think when they saw a small fox resting on my shoulder or on top of my head? On top of that what would they actually think when they found out that this fox is not really an ordinary fox but a nine-tailed fox on top of that?!





"Don't worry, other people will not be able to see him - the reason that I am able to see him is because it allowed itself to be seen in the first place. Your familiar has a mind of its own and whenever he deems it necessary he will really let himself known just like right now - I know he decided to show himself because he knows that I am doing something to figure out the elements you possess and that involves him" Raphael said as if he was able to read what is on my mind and what I am worried about. I guess it is actually obvious on the expression I have on my face that is why he was able to instantly find out. But right now I am actually curious about the reason why he has still that expression plastered on his face, other than I just want to know on what are those orbs right before my eyes.



"Can you explain to me know what is actually going on? Sepcficially what are those orbs?" I asked and I even pointed my hand to the orbs right before my eyes and as if on cue, Raphael snap his fingers and the light from the magic circle beneath me disappeared and the candle lights around me also automatically turned off and then I watched him land on the floor with his own two feet because a while ago he was still floating.



"These orbs are your elements - they are the kind of magic that you possess inside your body" he stated which made me almost drop my jaw. Like what? I have magic inside my body? Okay that was really quite unexpected because seriously at first I thought that Raphael is just saying that I have magic because I am that woman in the oracle or prophecy of the some sort that he was able to receive.

"Okay so since you are the archmage I guess you have the right explanation on the elements that I actually possess" I replied and he looked at me as he show his hair with his fingers.



"Honestly, I am only sure with the fiery red one - it's a powerful fire element and the other two I am not really completely sure because I have only read them in myths and I never thought that there is someone - the divine lady on top of that that is able to possess such element" he said which made me frown - what the heck? he is the archmage right? Then why the hell does he not know what these two other orbs mean or rather what elements they actually are? What the hell he should know what are these two other orbs are right? "Dawn Scarlett can you not make that expression because right now I too am shocked to see those two orbs because just like the shadow element that Aurelius possess and the vox element that I possess it is considered to be rare to the point that they are deemed to be extinct already because no one in history was able to use such element ever since the first divine lady appeared to wipe out the monsters that suddenly appeared"



"The white colored orb which has touch of crystals on it is an Ice element and the other one that is glowing and has the gold color is an element that I am really completely unfamiliar of but in books it is called as the divine element that only the chosen divine lady could possess and it is a different element compared to the vox" he said which made me once again astounded because of what I have just found out. I really cannot believe it like how I am able to have magic powers when in the first place I am not even naturally born in this world? I am just transmigrated with my soul and original body intact so how the hell did it all happen? When did I acquire magic powers in the first place? I really need to ask Fourteen about this because honestly he did not inform me about the possibility of having magic powers! He only told me that I am given another chance to live my life to the way I want it and right now I am discovering a lot of things especially the fact that I have this title of being the Divine lady that I did not even wished in the first place?!



Argh! I only want to live my life again without any regrets but I did not expect that it also has a price to pay! Like what the hell?!
