CHAPTER 07 part two

It's been about six damn hours since those two men annoyed me like hell. I almost punched Aurelius earlier because of what he was saying. Fortunately, the Prime Minister arrived just in time, so I was able to leave that place and for six hours I was locked in my room. Luckily an assistant brings me food, so I don't have to go out. I also found out that it's really like that here, when you are a guest or part of the palace's higher-ups, the assistants will do everything for you.

You just need to sit down and relax. Like great! If they are in the 21st century, their mothers will surely start preaching because they don't help with housework and let the helper do everything.They will be called lazy butts if only I could make my own food and not depend on them. I'm just going to put my own kitchen here, buy some utensils and plates, then of course food that can be cooked.

If only I could, I would never go out here again because maybe later on I would meet one of those brothers and they would trip me up. I don't understand if Aurelius was serious about what he said earlier or if he was just riding his brother's nonsense? I don't know, I don't want to trouble those two anymore because it's almost dinner time, I want to eat so I can sleep and wake up early tomorrow so I can't catch up with any of them. It is also a good thing since my destination is far away and I am planning to walk to that place. I will go to the craftsman to check on the wheelchair I asked him to do. Because if it's done, I can bring it here to the palace so that Aurelius can use it so that he won't have difficulty sitting or walking.


"Pretty Doctor it's me the handsome boy Chen! Shifu is looking for you. He said that you should join him for dinner" - a familiar voice suddenly said outside of my room and when I turned I saw the same shadow I saw this morning. It is the same person, the little boy who I thought was a little girl. But what caught my attention the most was what he said.

Join the Emperor for Dinner? LIKE WHY THE HELL DO I NEED TO JOIN HIM FOR DINNER?! -- oops sorry I did not control my temper well. *ehem* So, I was saying, why does he need to eat with me in the first place?

"Pretty Doctor?? Are you there??" - said the boy whose name is Chen causing me to slap my forehead. Aurelius must have deliberately sent this boy to make me obey, why do I have that conclusion?. Well because earlier this boy told me that if I don't go with him he is possibly going to get punished for not doing his job.

Like what the fuck right? This place is getting more and more like the ancient customs of Japan, China, and Korea! And up until now, I am trying my very best to damn adapt to these customs!

"Wait"I forced myself to answer and approached the door, but before I opened it I tied my now long hair. When I tied it properly, I opened the door and saw the same boy from earlier smiling broadly at me."Come on Pretty doctor" - he excitedly exclaimed and pulled my hand. And I just dragged him too. What's the point of forcing me to remove my hand, right? He could get hurt if I do that.

And as we pass through the corridor of the kingdom, we meet some maids dressed almost like a kimono. I too, am wearing something the same, since the clothes I wore a while back already stinks of sweat so I needed to wash them.

"So she is the rumored soon-to-be wife of our Emperor?"

"Really? I guess she is decent enough"

"Yes she is not like the other two daughters of the prime ministers"

"I know right. Those two are who you thought they were"

"But still even though this woman looks nice, she should also be able to handle the dangers"

"Yup, but he is a doctor. He can help the Empire especially when there are wars"

Those are just some of the whispers I heard from the maids which automatically made me frown. I know they are referring to me, who else is the doctor here but me, right? And as far as I know, no one heard what the brothers said earlier since we were the only three there. Unless the prime minister actually heard our conversation and spread it inside the palace. But it's also impossible because in any case that Aurelius will surely give a warning not to spread whatever he heard.

"Hihihihi I will be waiting for your wedding with my shifu, pretty doctor" I heard the boy pulling me and before I could reprimand him, suddenly someone pulled me and I felt my back stick to the wall.

"What took you so long my future wife" - I heard a familiar voice say and when I looked up I was almost embarrassed to see the Emperor in front of me and he is damn clearly pinning me on this fucking wall!

"Pardon me your majesty but it only took me about less than five minutes to get here. It's only natural because the palace is wide" - I said trying my best not to sound sarcastic and I saw his lips lift.

"Interesting" - he suddenly whispered and at the same time he fixed his tayo and moved away from me causing me to relax.

"Anyways let's eat. I am already starving" - he said and was about to sit cross-legged so I immediately stopped him.

"Wh-

Let me help you, your majesty" - I seriously promised and he didn't scream anymore so I continued to support him and made him sit with both feet straight on the floor. Luckily the table here is almost like a breakfast table, it was just a little too big for me to place it on his thigh. "You can eat properly this way, your majesty" - I said but he didn't speak which made me force a smile. That? He didn't even say thank you you'? oh yeah I totally forgot how arrogant he is!

"Eat" - he said and I just nodded as I also sat on the floor and we started eating. We were eating in silence, until he started to speak to break the silence.

"So where did you come from, Dawn?" - he asked which suddenly made me a shock. Not because he asked me that question, because I was already prepared there before. I have a script about that. I was surprised when he called me Dawn and not Dawn Scarlet. He is getting more casual with me!

"To be honest, your highness, that night I lost all my memories except the fact that I am a Doctor and my name. So technically Dawn Scarlet is just my name and I don't have a family name" - I said and I saw him frown. Is my story not convincing enough? Well, when I told that to Trajan he automatically believed me, I guess this one is really tough to please.

"So it means you are from the western part of the world if you have two names"- he said which made me look at him directly in the eye. The western part of the world? So there is also something that is called western here and he is indirectly saying that two names are common there. Fuck! So that's why Trajan did not say anything since he knew that there is such a thing as a certain place.

I was about to ask him to tell him more of the said place when suddenly someone disturbed us and we turned around at the entrance of the dining hall and saw a man with an arrow buried in his shoulder.

"Your highness! There are assassins in your garden! Prince Trajan is there holding them off! They are going to target your bride!" -The man exclaimed reason to insult me that I know Aurelius heard. The man sat on the floor and I was even more embarrassed. He is definitely been poisoned because the arrow was buried in his shoulder not that long ago

I immediately approached the man and tore the lower part of my clothes. I tore in two parts. I held one cloth to the bow and the other I prepared to cover his wound.

"I'll pull out the arrow, now" - I said and the man didn't answer. "Damn" - I whispered and I immediately removed the arrow from his shoulder and quickly covered it with the cloth. I threw the arrow somewhere and immediately took a bottle from inside my clothes. I left the cork of the small bottle and immediately let the man drink it. The liquid inside the bottle will detoxify the poison. Then I put his hand on the cloth covering his wound

"Just hold that to stop the bleeding" - I said and he slightly nodded his head. I got up and in the corner of my eye that Aurelius got his sword and was about to go out through the window. Tangina. He's even injured and then he's going to race there right away?! Is he crazy?! So before he could even get out of the window, I immediately stopped him by holding his hand.

"You stay here and I'll go out there" - I said.

"You are a damn doctor and those people out there are damn assassins! And they are after you so you are the one who should stay here!" - he exclaimed which made me roll my eyes and I immediately took out from my pocket the two daggers that I had the blacksmith make. I stepped to the window and I looked at him with a serious look on my face

"You have injured your majesty so you need to rest. And I can fight so no need not to worry about my safety" - I said and I jumped from the window going outside. Now let's see who the heck wants me dead.
