"Oh well, I admit that I am really curious and amazed by your master, however, the thing is that I still need to make sure that you are really legitimate and so, I knew that something is different about you. You are warm, and for some reason, your smell is not foul just like any other human being - yours was attractive and sweet which is new to me. I told it to the head of our kin and he decided that I should first let you go through a simple test and that all of our kin will be watching - they are to make sure that you are really worthy of being my master and the trust of all the nine-tailed foxes. And because I have this strong feeling that you are going to surpass their expectations I instantly accepted whatever it is that they want me to do and in that eight days that you took care of me, my kin decided to accept you as the first-ever human being to be trusted by the nine-tailed foxes and not to mention that because of that trust - my kin swore to follow you and do everything in order to be of help to you. " he said with a smile plastered on his face and I honestly cannot help but to froze on where I am standing because I am literally astonished on what he actually revealed to me.



Everything that he said is really unexpected. Like how are those things even possible?



"What is more surprising is that you are actually the chosen one of the gods. How amazing is that actually? We did not expect you to be the chosen one because it's already been a few decades ever since the gods declared a chosen one in order to become the world's salvation against the calamity because the decades that there is no chosen one to protect the people - human beings, spirits, and the divine beings worked together in order to survive and so we really did not expect that the first-ever human being to be bestowed by the nine-tailed foxes blessing would be the chosen one. " he added and once again, I cannot help but quite surprised on what I just found out.

Because of what Kal-- no, what Yuki has said, I am honestly still shocked about it and I do not know if I am able to digest all the information that entered my head right now. I already digested a lot of information and I do not really know if I am able to take another bunch of information like what Yuki just revealed to me - like what the fck?



I really cannot believe that he was already watching me the first night that I arrived in this world and the fact that I haven't even noticed him staring at me because as a doctor who serves the military, I have mastered the skill of being able to easily know if someone is looking at me - my senses are that sharp however I wasn't really able to notice him looking at me that day but maybe that is because of the fact that he has magical abilities and technically he is an out-of-this-world being - a being that I do not expect to actually exist and be able to meet in the first place.



However, I am still curious about one thing.



"Wait, so you are actually saying that it is only not just your decision to choose me as the human being that you will serve? And also, how the heck did you really come to a conclusion that I am worthy to be your master the moment that you saw me save the Emperor back in that forest? It impossible that you just decided that you are going to prove to your kin that I am worthy enough of their trust." I asked because obviously, he said that it was only recently that he found out and his kin also found out that I am actually the chosen one of the gods of this world. I am really curious about how the hell did he concluded that I am the one that is worthy of being his master - I am completely magicless and the fact that I only did what I could to be able to save Aurelius Shen that time is really not enough reason. And I know for a fact that he too doesn't realize that I actually have magical abilities inside my body because if he does then he should have already revealed himself the moment that I have been unconsciously using it.



"Well, the thing is that I am simply curious about you," he stated and I cannot help but raise an eyebrow at him for the reason that he mentioned like what the hell? Is he really damn serious about what he said? "I am telling the truth. My kin has known and watched that Emperor Aurelius and is really a cold-hearted, brutal human being. We have seen him fight a lot of people on his own and how he killed everyone who goes against his word and tried to harm him in every way they could think of effortlessly and ruthlessly. Aurelius Shen reeks of bloodlust, and not to mention the fact that he possess one of the ancient and supposed to be non-existent elemental magic: the shadow element. And so the moment that I saw you in that forest, and that you really did not move an inch or even flinched because of the sword pointed at your neck and the fact you really did not care even if Aurelius Shen is already releasing his bloodlust, it is as if it was non-existent really piqued my interest and I want to know who exactly are you that you did not even care even if Aurelius Shen is already releasing that amount of bloodlust" he added to what he had first said and my jaw instantly dropped - like literally, my mouth is wide open because of what he had said.



So basically, he was just curious about me at first because of what I did when I met Aurelius Shen and of course cured him of his wounds,



"Oh, there are two other things that really caught my attention" Yuki suddenly said again and that made me instantly close my mouth and obviously I am anticipating what he would say next. What is it exactly that caught his attention? "First is the tools that you've used in order to close up the cold-hearted emperor's wounds - how you actually made it to stop bleeding. And the second thing is the way you moved your hand as you are treating him. To be honest, your hand movements were so graceful and precise, and would you actually believe it if I told you that there were fireflies that surrounds you when you are treating that emperor? And to spirits and us divine beings, fireflies are considered to be a manifestation that the person is of good descent and that they are favored by a god at some point. And because of what I have witnessed that night I really decided to actually try and get wounded as your challenge to prove yourself to my kin because I also want to see how you do your techniques face to face" he added with a smile plastered on his face and I cannot help but raise froze on where I am standing because of what I just found out once again. I also cannot help but massage my temple because of everything that I have found out from the person I knew once as Kalyx who is now my familiar that I have given the name of Yuki because he is a nine-tailed foxed, obviously.



Fck. Can't this world get even crazier? I really do not know anymore how the hell I am going to handle it if I have known something surprising again - I really cannot handle another set of explosive information!

After a few minutes of talking to Yuki I signaled Raphael that I am already finished talking to my familiar and at that moment, Yuki also reverted back to his small nine-tailed fox form, and again, he concealed his figure to Raphael and also to Alaistair. He said that he doesn't really want them to see him often - he'll just make his presence known. Although Raphael was able to see him a while back he said that he only did that to send him a message that he, as a nine-tailed fox trusts him to educate me about the things that I do not know about this world.



"Are you done talking to your familiar, Dawn Scarlett?" Raphael asked and I instantly nod my head as an answer.

"So what exactly did you find out?" Alaistair asked, obviously he is quite curious about what I talked about with Yuki - I guess the reason why he is asking is that he also just found out that my familiar is a nine-tailed foxed. And I guess, it is also alright to tell inform them about a few things.



"My familiar - I met him before in his human form," I said as I let out a sigh and the two looked at me amazed, it is as if they are waiting for me to reveal a little bit more on how exactly did we met. Well, I guess I pulled the trigger of their curiosity - I just committed a wrong move.
