"The second person chosen by the gods in order to save the world from the calamity was indeed able to make a demon as his familiar. It was the demon who insisted despite the fact that he was considered to be a traitor of his own kind. It was really a gamble but in the end, the demon succeeded in aiding humanity in fighting the calamity and the other demons were able to accept the fact that there are indeed rare instances that a demon may be bonded with a divine being and if that happens again - they are no longer going to protest or view their kin as a traitor but rather they are to support their kin in whatever journey lies up ahead." Alaistair said, then he looked at Raphael and he suddenly opened his mouth again and the next thing that came out of it still shocked the shit out of me because I am not expecting such a thing to happen. "And it is also the same for human beings - at first it was unusual but then again, the third chosen one was able to prove such thing is normal for a divine person chosen by gods for she was able to make two human beings as her familiar"



And after he said that, literally I really cannot help but be shocked of what I just freakin' found out.

I honestly cannot believe what I just heard - likes is it really possible? How did human beings agree to be familiars in the first place?



"Also the familiar bond was simple, the chosen one just gave her familiars new names and that's it" Raphael added to what Alaistair had mentioned and at that moment I realized that the process was the same as what I did with Yuki a while ago. Yuki became my full pledge familiar and the two of us became connected because of that. "Since you have made a contract with a high being as your familiar, it is also time to explain to you every single detail about them" Raphael continued and I saw how Alaistair looked at him and not to mention that his eyes are wide open as if he is pretty shocked on what he just found out.



"What do you mean by that Archmage?" Alaistair asked, obviously he is still oblivious of the fact that I have Yuki, a nine-tailed fox as my familiar. Actually, Yuki is just sitting on my shoulder right from the start but seems like Alaistair really cannot see him unless I ordered Yuki to reveal himself or if Yuki chose to do so.



"Dawn Scarlett has a nine-tailed white fox as her first familiar" Raphael answered him and in just a second Alaistair's expression changed from confused to shock and then a minute later it changed again to him having this proud expression. "Before teaching you the other divine or high-ranking familiars. I am going to first give you a lecture about the familiar that you have now" Raphael said and I instantly nod my head - well, of course, I want to know more about Yuki. Although it is a fact that I do have some knowledge about nine-tailed foxes but then again there is a huge possibility that they are viewed differently in this world compared to the world I live in my previous life. And not to mention that I really want to learn a lot of things about my familiar.



"Nine-tailed foxes grow their tails every one hundred years since your familiar already has nine-tails and I can no longer measure his power then more or less he is over a thousand years old. Like the fox, as it grows older and it reaches an outstanding level of power added to the nine tails, its whole body turns white or gold but there are instances that the nine tails can actually change their color or it could have both. It is able to use powerful magic which leads to wisdom and knowledge about heaven and earth. Other than that, they are also able to generate fire or lightning but it has been believed that their magic powers are more than that" he stated which instantly made me turn my head to Yuki who is busy licking his paws.



"Are you really over a thousand years old? Then if that is the case, why are you still looking like a cub?" I asked subconsciously or rather it is more of a question to myself because I cannot believe what Raphael firstly said. Yuki's appearance is really different, he is really like a cub and so it is pretty much hard to believe that he is already over a thousand years old.

"I am indeed over a thousand years old" I heard someone say inside my head and obviously it was an answer to the question I technically asked myself and then I realized that Yuki had already stopped licking his paws and he is already looking at me, which made me realize that it was none other than him who actually talked inside my head and answer the question I was just supposed to ask myself.



"Wait, random question, does familiars or magical bonds speak to their contractor inside their head - or can they actually speak?" I asked without looking at the two men standing meters away from me because I am just looking at Yuki right in his eyes, however, I know for a fact that the two are looking at me.



"They actually do, but before familiars or magical bonds are able to speak to their masters it actually requires a high level of bond and so, if you are just new to it then it should be hard asking your spirit to talk most especially if you have low mana," He said and that made me instantly frown my head because obviously it has been just more or less four days since this little fella right on top of my shoulders sitting pretty appeared right before my eyes and it hasn't been more than an hour ever since I gave him his own name which is Yuki and yet here he is speaking to me inside my head already. What? Should I already consider that as a cheat? a privilege or something? Am I really that special? "Let me guess, your familiar is already talking to you. You are really different from the previously chosen ones, you are obviously a lot more talented and powerful than they are and so it is really a good thing that you have decided to keep the fact that you are really the divine lady for quite some time." Raphael added and I instantly nod my head because of what he had said and even if he did not mention it I will really hide the fact that I am the divine lady - not just for quite some time but until I can. I already made up my mind ever since a while ago that I am only going to use my powers when it is needed and if I am in a life and death situation where I have no choice but to use them and ask for Yuki's help.



"Anyways, Nine-tailed foxes are known for their cunningness, destructive power, and high intelligence and basically they are high maintenance and they chose their own masters. One cannot just easily summon a nine-tailed fox during the familiar signing ritual, but there are instances that they are summoned using black magic but in the end, the one who summoned it always ends up with a major injury, losing one of their senses, or worst dying. They are known to choose their masters based on their magical capability and of course if they are worthy enough to be served and obviously, you are really special because a nine-tailed fox chose you to become its master" Raphael said once again and that made me let out a sigh. Why? Because of the fact that I cannot say if such thing is a good thing or a bad one because this is really quite a heavy burden to carry and I do not know if I am going to live up to their expectations - can I actually be able to do so? Because seriously I am doubting myself so hard right now knowing the fact that I have a divine or high ranking being with me - I am just a person wanting to live a normal life after the trauma that I had experienced in my previous life from my family. All I ever wanted was really to relive my life without them but really never thought that the gods of this world will bring me to this kind of situation and it really sucks because they gave me a heavy burden without even consulting me first!



But heck, I also cannot help to think that maybe this is actually the consequence of wishing my life to restart - wishing that I will be able to relive my life again without those people who cause my traumas. But anyways, I cannot do something about it anymore and the only thing that I could do right now is to live my life accordingly and to make sure that no one will be able to find out that I am the chosen one - I am going to decided when and where my powers are to be revealed and I am going to use it whenever it is really needed to be used.



"It is written that foxes are creatures of the spiritual realm and that is why they are considered to be Divine beings however, there are instances that they live close to human beings, but again they are separated by nature. Nine-tailed foxes can also transform into humans but the thing is that their faces with pointy noses and narrow eyes still resemble the outer appearance of a fox. Even their eye color when they are as a fox will be retained when they disguised themselves as human beings. It is also said that while they are blending in with human beings they too are actually looking for someone worthy enough to lend their power to and so it is highly possible that you have met your familiar before. You may have been be able to converse with it or helped it in one way or another that is why it instantly chose you to be the master it would serve"



Raphael continued which made me instantly turn my head in his direction.



"What did you just say?" I asked again because I am thinking that I heard it all wrong but when he repeated what he just said I cannot help but look at Yuki once again with my right eyebrow rising, obviously I am waiting for a clarification of what Raphael had just said about nine-tailed foxes.
