Dawn Scarlett





"Miss Dawn Scarlett dinner is served," the person who knocked on my room said and I instantly let out a sigh in order to regain the posture that I kind of lost after I panicked when half of my room froze. Since Fourteen gave me a necklace that will supposedly keep my powers in check then I do not have to worry right? And also, Fourteen is one of the gods and I do trust that this necklace that he gave me will really save me from getting into trouble of using my powers unconsciously.



"I honestly did not expect you - or rather we did not see it coming that you are able to possess three magical abilities. Rare abilities on top of that. And we have understood why you want to stay lowkey for a while and don't worry you wouldn't be found out that you used magic now" that is what Raphael exactly said with a smile plastered on his face and I can still remember seeing him snap his fingers and as if on cue my room finally returned to normal. It is as if it wasn't really frozen a while ago and I cannot help but to let out a reassured sigh because I am really about to panic because heck I do not know how to control my powers just yet! I do not even know how the heck did I freeze half of my room how much more on how to unfroze it?! I really cannot help but to panic a while ago because of what happened.



"Anyways, since you still cannot control your power - you are still completely oblivious when you are using it, I am going to give you this necklace," Fourteen continued, and as if on cue a necklace appeared around my neck and it has a kunai pendant and that is what I am wearing right now but I also made sure that Trajan or Aurelius won't be able to see it since I am sure that it will catch their attention. "It will basically contain your magic inside your body until you are able to control it according to your will. It will prevent you from using it unconsciously just like what you did to your room a while ago. But I do advise you to know how to control your powers as soon as possible because you cannot keep on wearing that necklace forever." That is what he said to me before he actually disappeared completely in my room like how a bubble would.



"Miss Dawn Scarlett?" the servant from outside called out to me and so I have a deep sigh then when I already regained my composure, I opened the door, and the same person that visits my room to tell me whenever the meal is already served appeared right before my eyes. I nod my head and the servant instantly walks ahead of me to lead the way, it's always been that way.



In just a few minutes, we already arrived at the hall where dinner is served and just like the usual - the emperor Aurelius Shen and his brother Trajan is already sitting on their respective seats and it is obvious that I am the only person that they are waiting for. And of course, before I went to my respective seat I made sure that I already paid my respect by bowing and greeting the two.



"Take your seat Dawn Scarlett" Aurelius said and that is the cue that I am waiting for for me to be able to raise my head and walk towards my seat. When I reached my seat I instantly sat down and as if on cue, the servants who are waiting on the corners of the hall walked towards the table and they synchronously removed the covers of the food that are served right in front of us and that is the signal that we can already start eating our meal.

After more or less thirty minutes, I am already quite full although I only ate a little. It is just that I really do not eat that much for dinner and it has always been that way even in my previous life. Eating too much for dinner is not really good for the body especially if you want to maintain the body fit that you have right now. The digestive system and it's capability to literally digest the food you eat is slower during the night so if you do not want to get fat or lose the fit body that you have right now, it is best to eat only a little during the night as much as possible eat only a bowl of salad with a little meat and also some tea to improve your digestion.



That has always been my routine that is why I am able to keep my body fit and I am not worried of gaining weight but ever since I entered the imperial palace I wasn't really able to follow that routine of mine properly since there is salad served on the table. But even so, I still eat a little and I always ask for green tea after meal - it's already been a few times that I asked green tea and the servants already got used to it so they already had it prepared in advance. I am honestly quite surprised that they are very observant and on top of that they do cater all my needs.



"So, Dawn Scarlett how's your visit in the Imperial Library? Does the library suit your taste and catered what you are looking for or are there anything that you need? If you do need something don't hesitate to tell it to the person in charge of that place because he can surely do something about it" Aurelius suddenly said which made me instantly look at him. Just like the usual he is holding a wine glass on his right hand. It is really his routine to drink wine every night.



"It was fine, I just read a few books, expecting that I may actually recall something that I forgot but I remembered nothing" I said and of course, what I said was a lie. I need to continuously make up stories to strengthen my claim that I have lost my memories and at the same time I am trying my best to figure out to restore it but in the end I haven't really gotten any results. I need to ensure that everything will be realistic and that the two will really have the idea that the memories that I have lost can no longer be restored so that they will not bother doing shits anymore that will restore my lost memories because honestly there is nothing to be restored in the first place because I haven't really lost anything.



Aurelius nod his head with what I have said. Well, I am going to take that as he have completely understood what I actually meant.



"Don't worry we are going to find a way to restore your memories and of course to find your family" Trajan said and that made me heave a sigh. I do not need them to find a way to restore my memories and to find my family because the truth is I am normal and I am completely fine. I haven't lost a single memory, in fact I remember clearly everything that happened in my past life and also I do not have a family in this world - I am all alone so they cannot really find someone who will claim me as their long lost daughter. They are really just wasting their energy, time and effort.



"So tell me, what books have you read at the library" Aurelius suddenly ask - no it is actually more of an order not a question. He wants to find out what things I have actually learned in my time inside the library. I do not know if he is really making sure that I did read something there and that I am not lying. I cannot help but to chuckle subconsciously because of how cautious he is - he really is making sure that he isn't being deceived.



"I read about books that concerns magic since I am really curious about it." I said and what I said is partially the truth. The thing is that I did learn stuffs about magic but I haven't read it instead it was taught to me by the archmage himself, Raphael. And there are other stuffs that Raphael also taught me that of course, I am not planning to reveal to them.



"I guess that is natural since you did not knew for quite sometime that magic does exists because you lost your memories. So, tell me what have you actually learned in the books that you've read" Aurelius said once again and he looked directly at me as he slowly move his hand in circles, shaking the wine class he is holding and his other hand is placed under his chin. Other than that, I also saw in my peripheral vision that Trajan, his brother is also waiting for me to share something about what have I read. And I cannot help but sigh subconsciously. I guess I have no choice but to just reiterate just what Raphael had said. I have memorized everything he said regarding magic so it wouldn't really be a problem.



"Elemental Magic is the basic form of Magic a mage is born with, this Magic is awakened at the same time they awaken as a Mage. Elemental Magic is said to be basically a Telekinetic ability to manipulate the element they are born with and that very mage that are born with the ability to control one of the 7 Elements in this universe. Elemental Magic is just as the name sounds which is the the ability to control one of the seven elements and a fact is that most mage only possess the ability to control one element." I stated and what I just said is just as how Raphael said it awhile ago. I know that the way I said is and the words that I used are exactly the same as how Raphael said it and especially the words he used. Well, I have memorized everything that he said a while ago - again that is one of the perks of graduating in a course that is more on memorization comes first and familiarization comes second.



"It is also said that there is this element called Vox which is the only exception, because of its rarity, not many people has the knowledge about this element. Even through the history of all the kingdoms, there are only a few or maybe a single mage that could use the Vox element resulting Vox to be often left forgotten. Movements or a certain motions are often used to assist the mage to control their elements, from finger movements, hand motions,etc. Just for example, a Water Mage will require fluid hand motion, while Earth Magi requires strong and sturdy stances. But there are instances when a person is able to reach the the advanced level, where an expert Mage can control their elements without the assistance of any movements." I added to what I have said a while ago and again, the things that I have said are exactly the same thing that Raphael said to me a while ago. Aurelius then nod his head three times, as if he is satisfied with what I have said and I also could see on my peripheral vision that Trajan has this amused looked plastered on his face. It is as if he did not expect that I am really going to share what I have learned in that library - or rather he did not expect that I am able to remember everything.



"I'm impressed that your memory is really sharp. What you have said is what is clearly and exactly written in the books" Aurelius said and that made me nod my head but I am also quite surprised that he noticed that what I have said is the exact same thing that is written in the books although I haven't really read the books and all was just mentioned by Raphael.



"I do hope that you will learn more and find answers that you need. I am giving you the permission to use the imperial library whenever you like." he then added and I am about to talk him for his generosity when he suddenly opened his mouth again and then I couldn't believe what he suddenly asked or rather I did not expect him to ask that question because I thought he was not interested about it anyways. "So, what do you think about the archmage that guards the library, Raphael?
