Chapter 35
Dawn Scarlett
A few hours had already passed and from the window of this room, I could clearly see that the sun is already about to set - only a few more minutes and surely the moon will make its appearance already. It's been a few hours since Raphael, the archmage and the supposed to be dead necromancer Alaistair started lecturing me about a lot more things regarding this world and everything that I found out during the lecture is mindblowing. I do not even know how I am able to digest every single piece of information that they threw at me in such a short time - but I have a hunch that one thing that helped me in order to digest everything in such a short time is my study habits in my previous life.
As a medical student, it is really a must that you are able to understand every concept as fast as you could and not just simply memorize it because memorization is the lowest level of learning and it doesn't really contribute that much.
"Since it is already this late, I advise you to rest for a while - we can continue your lessons tomorrow," Raphael said and I nodded my head in agreement - of course, I have to agree with what he had said because I also do not think that I could handle another hour or two in listening to their lectures - well, actually I could still but I need to first have my dinner because I am sure that the Emperor, Aurelius Shen, and his brother, Trajan will surely look for me and second I need to settle everything with that stingy god Fourteen.
And because I agreed with his proposition that we should continue the lecture tomorrow, he then snapped his fingers, and as if on cue the three of us are back in the main hall of the library - the place where we were a while ago and the place where we found out what my magical element is. At this point, although it is still a shock to me that I do possess such abilities, I have just decided to accept them because I cannot do anything about it anyways. My complaints will not do anything in getting back the normal life that I actually wished to have back.
"Then I'll leave now," I said and I am about to take a step forward going to the door but I stopped halfway and I turned around to look at Raphael and Alaistair. "Wait, how will you explain the sudden appearance of that guy?" I asked as I pointed at Alaistair who is currently patting the head of his bond, which is the panther and from the looks of it, the panther loves the attention that his master is giving him right now. I guess he missed the presence of his master since they have been separated for a decade due to the fact that originally Alaistair should be dead but he also obviously cheated death because of his magical abilities and I still cannot help but be curious about the fact that the gods of this world allowed such thing to happen in the first place. "Sure enough there are going to be a few people who would recognize his face, right? And also it is impossible that the emperor himself would not recognize one of the heroes of the world that are supposed to be buried already six feet underground, standing right in front of him, or taking a stroll inside the palace? Aurelius Shen and Trajan are not stupid not to realize that something is odd" I added to my question because with all honesty, I do have a point because it will actually cause quite a ruckus if people found out that the necromancer who helped save the world from the calamity is once again alive and not to mention the fact that the public's views regarding a necromancer may have changed again - it could have reverted to the original one or it could also have changed for the better but either way, there is nothing wrong with actually being cautious.
Especially with the fact that I am totally involved in this because I am the reason why he is actually alive and kicking right now - it is I who have triggered his magical condition for him to be resurrected.
"Oh don't worry about this guy, he can handle it on his own" Raphael said, and as if on cue, Alaistair looked at me and nod his head as if he is actually reassuring me that I shouldn't really be worried about those things since he can handle it on his own. Oh well, he is one of the heroes of this world a decade ago and obviously, he already realized that he needs to hide his identity because surely none of the people of the imperial palace does know what he looks like because for sure, his face is all over the history books as the first and only necromancer ever lived in this place because the chosen one of the gods and him are very close friends.
I guess I'll just have to trust him that he could actually do something for the people not to be able to recognize him as one of the heroes of this world and also, I hope that he is well aware of the fact that he also needs to change his name.

When I got off the library, I instantly made my way back to my room because I need to take a bath and also change my clothes before dinner is served at the hall. It is actually my routine to take a bath in order to change my clothes every night before I eat my dinner - it has always been my routine even in my previous life.
And a few more steps before I could get to my room, I saw a familiar figure standing right in front of the door and the person is none other than the Emperor's brother, Trajan. And so, because I am curious about what he is doing in front of my room, I immediately walked as fast as I could, and then I greeted him.
"What could I do for you, Trajan?" I instantly greeted him and as if on cue, his head turned to where I am and he has this expression on his face that he can finally be at ease that he already saw me - or rather I have already appeared right in front of him. And because of that my curiosity about what he is actually doing in front of my room and why he has that expression increased.
Seriously, what does he need at this time of the day?
