Naked In Front Of Him

"Why is this so hard! Why can't I do it? " Evelyn whined, sitting on a tree stump with a sulking face.

"It's not that hard, Luna." Josh chuckled at the girl. "All you have to do is focus on my moves,"

"You move too fast, " She pouted.

"Then predict my moves,"

"What?"

"Get up, I'll show you, " The beta told her.

"Get up, Luna! You can do it! Beat his ass! " Rain cheered from the tree trunk he was sitting on.

"You little rascal! " Josh took an apple from the basket nearby and threw it at the boy on the old tree.

The omega caught it effortlessly. "Thanks, " Rain grinned at the beta, making him roll his eyes.

Josh turned to Evelyn who sighed. "I don't know if I can do it….. I've never done these kinds of things before… ."

"You can do it, Luna. This is only the first day of training. Don't lose hope," He took another apple from the basket.

The beta walked to the girl and gave her the fruit. "Now, you're going to hold this apple and I'm going to get it back from you," He said as Evelyn took the apple from him. "Try to keep it away from me as far as possible, okay? "

Evelyn nodded as she got up. She tied her long blonde hair into a messy bun and folded her sweater sleeves, preparing her best to defend the red fruit.

"I'm going to try from the front now, " Josh said, walking towards the girl. "I'll explain how I'm trying to get it from you as I do so, "

Evelyn took a step back, holding the apple away from the beta as he approached her.

In a second, Josh was in front of her taking her by surprise. The girl took a step back instinctively, giving the beta a chance to slip his foot between hers and pull it back, successfully knocking her off balance.

Evelyn fell with a gasp while the beta took the fruit from her in the blink of an eye.

The omega groaned while lying on the wet old tree leaves on the ground. "Where's your explanation? You were fast as light," She grumbled, glaring at the beta who grinned sheepishly.

"I'll explain it now, " He extended his hands towards the girl.

"It was a simple move, " He started. "When I came near you, you stepped back with your left leg behind which gave me a golden chance to knock you off balance easily, " He shrugged. "This is one thing you have to be careful of when you're fighting. Never expose your weak point to your enemy. Always know that your attacker is predicting all your moves so be unpredictable, " Josh explained while Evelyn listened attentively.

"Now we'll try it from the back," The beta got behind her. The girl kept the apple away from him as he crept towards her from the back. Just when he was about to pounce for the apple, Evelyn turned to the left making him miss his target. She turned to the right as Josh tried to take it from that side but the beta quickly pulled on her left shoulder causing her hand with the apple to come right in front of him.

Josh grabbed the fruit with a smirk. "That was a good one, Luna. But not fast enough,"

Evelyn pouted as she slumped down on the tree stump again. "When will I learn this? " She sulked with a hand on her jaw.

"You'll learn it soon, Luna. You just have to keep training diligently," The beta smiled.

"Luna, I think it's time to go, " Rain jumped off from the tree trunk. "Alpha will be back in the Packhouse in about thirty minutes, " He looked at his wristwatch.

Evelyn stood up alarmed. "I have to go, Josh. We'll meet tomorrow, " She smiled at the beta. "Thank you for training me, " She waved at him and set off towards the Packhouse with Rain trailing behind her, humming happily.

The girl panted as she walked. Each step made her regret the decision to come this deep into the woods for training. But they had no choice. If they did it anywhere else, it'll be easy for Keiran to find out.

"Come in, Luna! Alpha isn't back yet, " Rain whisper shouted from outside the Packhouse.

The girl had sent the boy to check if Keiran came back. She sighed in relief before she stepped out from behind the tree.

"I'll meet you at dinner, okay? I have to wash up now, " Evelyn ruffled Rain's hair.

"Okay! " The omega smiled brightly while he gave a tiny wave.

The girl rushed towards the bedroom and quickly took the room freshener, spraying it all over the room to mask her scent so Keiran wouldn't find out she went out to train.

She sniffed the air to make sure everything was masked before going into the bathroom. Evelyn hastily stripped out of her clothes and stood under the shower, sighing as the hot water hit her skin.

She stood there for a minute, relishing the warmth it gave her.

The omega remembered bathing in cold river water every day when she was in the woods. It was torture.

Sometimes she even fell ill because of it. Those were the days she struggled the most without no one there to help her. But her knowledge about different herbs and how to use them kept her alive.

Evelyn sighed, closing her eyes not wanting to think about the past.

She felt like she didn't deserve this luxury.

The sole reason she's still here is that she's mated to the alpha. But Keiran doesn't want her so what right does she have to stay here?

The omega clenched her fist as she thought about it.

The question haunted her like an evil ghost.

Evelyn quickly snapped out of her thoughts. She didn't have time to waste. She has to get out before Keiran comes back.

The girl hurriedly stepped out of the shower and walked towards the shelf with towels. As she was walking, Evelyn heard a sound coming from the door.

'Click'

The omega didn't even have the time to react as the alpha stood at the doorway, staring wide-eyed at his naked mate.

Evelyn stood there shocked for a minute like someone just knocked her brain out of her head. Her frantic green eyes met the alpha's wide ones.

"AHHHHH!"
