"Luna, I made ice lollies!" Rain shouted as he ran towards the girl with two popsicles in his hands.

"In winter? Ice lollies are better made in the summertime, you dumbo," Scarlett chuckled and lightly hit the boy's head, causing him to pout at the former luna.

Evelyn couldn't help but coo at the adorable omega. "It's okay, it's been so long since I ate an ice lolly so I'm really excited," She said, ruffling the boy's hair.

"Really? Here, take whatever flavor you need! I've made watermelon and orange-flavored ones," He said while extending his lollies towards the girl.

Evelyn chose the orange one. She tasted the popsicle and her eyes widened immediately as the sweetness invaded her mouth.

"Hmm… just the right flavor and sweetness… perfect!" She complimented Rain who flushed red from the comment.

The omega stuttered out a small thank you while scratching his neck.

"Okay lovelies, I have to go now. My mate is calling me, " Scarlett planted a quick kiss on both the omegas cheeks before rushing out.

"Bye bye, " Evelyn and Rain waved in unison.

The boy turned to Evelyn with a small smile. "So you like orange-flavored—"

"Ice lollies?!"

The two omegas turned towards the doorway when they heard a high-pitched voice.

"I want one! It's my favorite!" Amelia said excitedly, ready to rush towards the omegas. But before she could run, her mate—Derek— quickly caught her by the waist.

"Ami, it's winter. Ice lollies are not good for your throat," Derek frowned as he talked.

Amelia turned to her mate. "Babe, sometimes you forget that I'm the doctor, " She rolled her eyes.

"Oops," Her mate chuckled with a sheepish expression. "Sorry doctor,"

Amelia huffed, delivering a small punch to Derek's rock-like bicep.

"Come here, Amelia! I have more lollies!" Rain beamed before running off towards the kitchen.

He paused at the kitchen door when he saw Calvin walk out of there. The omega nervously looked back to everyone in the dining room but they were all talking to each other.

He didn't want to run into the beta alone because every time that happened something bad would follow.

Calvin smirked. "What's up, waste of space? " He said, leaning down to the omega who flinched back.

"N-Nothing," Rain stuttered out, completely disregarding the insult thrown at him. "I was just-just going inside…." He looked down, his head bowed in submission.

"Now you're wasting our food too? " The beta raised a brow.

The omega's eyes widened. "N-No, I-I just like to c-cook and make things," Rain shook his head. "I-I don't eat m-much of it," He looked down again.
"I'll go n-now," He stuttered out before running inside the kitchen.

Rain took the lollies and put them on a plate with his shaky hands. He inhaled a deep breath and let it out to calm himself before he walked out of the kitchen.

"Guys, here's the lollies! " The omega beamed, running towards Amelia and her mate with a plate of ice lollies.

But unfortunately for the omega, he didn't pay attention to Calvin sitting at the table or the beta's extended feet on his way.

"Awwe!" Rain cried in surprise as he fell to the ground. The plate of lollies in his hand met the floor and shattered into pieces as a result.

"Rain! Are you okay?! " Amelia and Evelyn ran to the boy who whimpered while holding his right feet.

"I-I'm okay," Rain said while his lips were jutted out and eyes brimmed with tears.

"See, I told you. You waste so much food," Calvin stood up from the chair with a smug expression.

"S-Sorry," The boy whimpered before looking down.

"Calvin, that's rude," Derek stepped in, glaring at the beta.

"What? I just told the truth," Calvin shrugged.

"Shut up, Calvin. Can't you see he's in pain? This is not the time," Evelyn said through gritted teeth.

"I don't care about his pain, Luna," The beta rolled his eyes.

"What's happening?"

Everyone turned to the doorway to see a frowning Josh standing there.

He rushed towards Rain as he saw the boy on the floor. "Rain, what happened?" The beta took Rain's hands and tried to lift him up slowly, making the boy whimper in pain.

"He just fell and now he's acting dramatic," Calvin shook his head.

"What's your problem with him, Calvin?" Josh snapped at the beta.

"What problem? I'm just saying that he's a boy but he can't even handle a fall," The beta scoffed.

Josh helped the boy up who immediately hid behind him. Rain clutched the young beta's shirt, seeking protection from being humiliated by Calvin again.

"That's enough, Calvin. You're crossing the line," Evelyn warned the beta while rubbing the omega's back to soothe him.

"I think his ankle is sprained," Amelia said suddenly, looking at the boy who kept his right foot up from the ground.
"Bring him to the clinic. I'll be there in a second," She said before rushing out of the room followed by her mate.

"I'll carry you there," Josh said to Rain before picking up the boy in bridal style.

The omega yelped and latched on to the beta's shirt. He blushed and hid his face in embarrassment.

"Wow, what a fragile princess," Calvin rolled his eyes.

"You better shut up, Calvin," Josh clenched his jaws, glaring at the beta.

"What? Why are you so defensive over him? It's not like he's your mate or anything,"

"What if he's my mate? " Josh asked suddenly, causing the omega to look at him wide-eyed. "He'll find out who's his mate in two weeks and what if it's me? I don't want to regret that I didn't protect him when someone was bullying him in front of me,"

Rain blushed red as Josh talked.

"Then I'll be sorry for you that you got someone like him as your mate," Calvin smirked and scoffed before walking away with his hands in his pockets.

"D*ckhead," Josh muttered under his breath, looking at the retreating figure of the beta.

"D-Don't say bad words," Rain put a finger on his lips while shaking his head no.

Josh couldn't help but sigh and chuckle at the cute boy before walking towards the clinic with the omega in his hands.

Evelyn looked at the two with a small smile gracing her lips. She just wished for Josh to become Rain's mate so he could protect the boy from people like Calvin.
