Finally Free
"What?! " David stood up, his eyebrows furrowed. He sounded surprised and also troubled. "Mrs.Winter, please think again about what you're asking, " The young alpha said.
"I've thought about it… this is what I want. The Bluemoon Pack is one of the strongest packs in our community. You have amazing warriors in your pack and you don't need the animals to fight. You use them to make the process easy for you but they are living beings too. They have a life… They have emotions and they feel pain too." Evelyn sighed before looking up at David's eyes. " Ask your wolf… Ask your wolf if it would like to be confined and then you'll get the answer."
The girl turned to Mr. Walker. "Please let them go… They belong in the wild."
Mr. Walker looked down.
"Mrs. Winter, we can't just let them go. We've been training them—" David couldn't finish the sentence because his father cut him off.
" We'll let them go," Mr. Walker announced with a small smile.
"Really?! " Evelyn beamed as she heard the words. The omega never thought they would agree to her request.
"Dad, what are you saying? " David stared at his father with wide eyes.
Mr. Walker gave his son a small smile. "This is the right decision, son. It's our fight and we should fight it ourselves. I've been training these animals for as long as I can remember and they all did what I told them but it was either out of fear or from hunger. Today, I saw someone tame the untamable with love and that's when I realized that we've been doing it all wrong." He smiled at the omega.
"If it weren't for you, my mate wouldn't be alive. You saved my mate and that means you saved me too. I will never forget this," The alpha slightly bowed, showing his gratitude. "Do you have any other requests? "
Evelyn fiddled with her fingers before looking up at Mr. Walker nervously. "Umm… Can you release the tiger today? I want to say goodbye to him… "
Mr. Walker thought for a minute before he smiled. "We can arrange for that in a few hours, " He said, making Evelyn's face lit up like the midnight moon.
"Thank you so much! " The omega couldn't help but smile wide.
A faint smile danced on Keiran's lips as he watched his mate trying to control her happiness.
"You're lucky, Keiran. Your mate is truly blessed by the goddess, " Mr. Walker said to the young alpha. Keiran's smile widened a little as he heard the words.
Evelyn blushed like a tomato, embarrassed by the sudden compliment.
"She keeps surprising me," Keiran mumbled under his breath as he raked a hand through his hair.

"Sir, it's ready, " A warrior of the Bluemoon Pack informed Mr. Walker.
The older alpha looked at Evelyn. "Do you want to go? " He questioned.
"Yes!" Evelyn's eyes lit up as she heard the words.
"We can't be out with you since the tiger is not really fond of us. He may try to attack us so if you want to go, you'll have to do it yourself, " Mr. Walker warned the girl but Evelyn's smile didn't disappear.
"That's okay, I can manage—"
"No, you're not going alone. I'm coming with you too, " Keiran cut off the omega suddenly.
"Huh? You're not afraid?" Evelyn tilted her head, making the alpha roll his eyes.
"No," He shrugged.
"Then you can go out, " Mr. Walker said with a small smile and gestured to his warrior to open the cage's door.
Mr. Walker, David, and two warriors along with Evelyn, and Keiran were all inside a cage while the tiger was out there in another one. It was done for safety precautions in case the animal decides to attack them after they release it.
Evelyn stepped out of the iron box followed by her mate. They waited for the warriors to open the tiger's cage and a few moments later, the warriors pulled on the rope connected to the cage's door, slowly lifting it and making way for the predator to step out.
Evelyn strode towards the cage in excitement but her mate stopped her quickly. "Don't surprise him. He might attack you,"
Evelyn nodded. "Oh okay, " She smiled and slowly walked up to the cage.
The predator stepped out carefully. He was on full alert with his ears pointed and eyes wide. He paused when he saw the omega in front of his cage.
Evelyn stood there with a big smile on her face. Keiran, on the other hand, was tense as he watched the tiger.
The predator blinked a few times before it ran towards the girl at full speed.
Keiran would be lying if he said that it didn't give him a mini heart attack. He thought the animal was going to pounce on his mate but instead, it snuggled up to Evelyn like a kitten.
Evelyn giggled, hugging the huge predator like a teddy bear. "You're free now, " The omega said to the tiger and it made some sounds and grunts in reply.
The girl wiped the tears that fell from her eyes. "Someday in the future, we'll meet again, " She said, raking her fingers through the tiger's soft fur. "You can go now, " She stood up with a small smile.
The tiger made a sound and circled the omega, rubbing on her legs before it looked towards the woods.
The tiger turned to Evelyn after taking a few steps towards the forest. It bowed as if saying goodbye before running off deep into the woods.
Evelyn heaved a sigh of relief while a small smile played on her lips.
The tiger was finally home.

"You can always come to me if you need any help in the future, " Mr. Walker said as Keiran and Evelyn walked out of the Packhouse with their luggage.
"Thank you, Mr. Walker, we'll keep that in mind, " Keiran said and shook hands with the older alpha. He then hugged David with a small smile.
Evelyn just stood there and gave them all a wave as she said goodbye. She didn't forget to pay a visit to Maria before coming out of the packhouse.
The poor woman was still in pain.
"Come again anytime, " Mr. Walker said to the young alpha.
"Of course, " Keiran smiled at him before getting into the car. He made sure Evelyn was buckled up before starting the car.
The alpha sighed as he thought about all the things that happened in the past few days.
He never thought the omega would mess with his heart like this…
