Angry Josh

Three days.

It's been three days since Rain fell unconscious.

He woke up the next day after the incident but he couldn't talk because he was so exhausted. The omega only cried instead of saying anything which worried everyone including the alpha of the pack.

Evelyn, Josh, and Scarlett stayed beside him most of the time, helping Amelia take care of the boy.

It was in the evening of the third day when Rain decided to sit up. He looked like he had been through hell and back.

No one questioned him. Everybody just waited for the omega to talk.

Rain looked up and tried to muster up a small smile. "W-Water, " He croaked out and Scarlett rushed to get a glass of water. She gave it to the omega who hungrily downed it one go.

"Rain, are you okay? " Scarlett asked softly.

The boy nodded meekly and mustered up another smile.

"Do you need anything else? Are you hungry?" Evelyn asked as she stepped forward to the omega.

Rain only shook his head no without saying anything which caused everyone to worry. Rain isn't like this. The omega was always high-spirited and chatty but now he's being unusually quiet. His smiles look forceful.

Something must've happened.

Something bad.

Josh took small steps towards the boy and stopped beside his bed. His hand made its way towards Rain's cheek and caressed it lovingly, making the omega sigh in relief as he leaned into the touch.

"Rain, what happened? " Josh asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Rain stiffened immediately. His eyes grew wide before he looked away while playing with his fingers nervously.


Josh frowned. "Did someone push you that night? " He asked, taking the omega's hands in his.

"N-No, " Rain stuttered out nervously.

"Rain, tell us the truth. Did anyone bully you that night?" The beta asked again. "Tell us their name, Rain. You don't have to be scared. We'll take care of everything,"


Rain shook his head. "I told you, it's no one, " He slightly raised his voice, surprising everyone in the room.


Josh's frown deepened. "Is it Calvin? " He asked through gritted teeth, making the omega flinch.


"N-No, " Rain shook his head again but his glossy eyes gave it all away.

"You're bad at lying, Rain, " The beta said before standing up.


Rain grabbed Josh's hand immediately to stop him. "He-he didn't mean to do it, Josh. That was an accident—"

"Take a rest, Rain. I'll talk to Calvin about it, " Josh said in a dangerously calm voice while forcing a smile on his face.

He walked out of the room hurriedly, his steps were heavy and strong.

"I'll go to make sure that he doesn't cause any trouble, " Evelyn said before following the beta.

The girl looked around to see where he was and guessed he would have gone to look for Calvin.

But where was Calvin?


Evelyn stopped a warrior that was passing by and asked her about Calvin.



"Calvin hasn't come to training or patrol for a few days, luna. He said he's not feeling well, " The warrior replied.

"Oh? " Evelyn frowned. Um... Thank you, you can go now, " She smiled at the warrior who bowed slightly before walking away.

The girl ran towards the packhouse hurriedly, earning some confused looks from the people who passed her. She panted as she ran up the stairs towards Calvin's room and as expected Josh was there, angrily knocking on the door.

Evelyn was about to call his name before the door opened, revealing Calvin who looked like he hadn't slept for days. He looked annoyed and confused as he stared at Josh.


"You f*cker! " Josh didn't hesitate a moment to throw a punch at Calvin's face, making him stumble back in surprise.

"What the f*ck?!" Calvin breathed out, his eyes widening as he touched his face from the pain. "What the f*ck are you doing?! " He asked, this time his voice was deep and harsh. His eyes turned full black, a sign that his wolf was taking over.


"What?! You wanna know what? Stop acting like you know nothing after what you did to the poor boy! " Josh gripped Calvin's collar.

Evelyn frowned. She didn't want this to turn violent.


"Guys, calm down. I don't want you to fight. Let's talk about this with Keiran—"


"No, luna. This needs to end now. He's been bullying Rain for so many years! He does not deserve this! " Josh spat out angrily.

Calvin clenched his jaw. "What's between Rain and I, is our business! Why are you butting in?! " He shouted, pushing Josh away from him.

"Your business?! IS PUSHING THAT POOR BOY TO THE CONCRETE FLOOR AND LEAVING HIM THERE TO BLEED TO DEATH IS YOUR BUSINESS WITH HIM!? " Josh shouted back, throwing another punch to the beta's face.


Calvin froze, terrified at the words he heard. "W-What?"


"Huh? You're acting like you don't know anything now?" Josh scoffed. "You heard me right. He laid there on that cold hard floor for four hours while his head was bleeding! You left him there! He couldn't even talk for three days because he was so messed up!" Josh kept pushing Calvin away as he said it while the beta stood there like a statue.


"I-I didn't know… " Calvin stuttered out, tugging on his hair.

"I swear to god I'll kill you if you keep acting innocent, " Josh gritted out before hitting the beta on the face once again.


"S-Stop hurting him, p-please!"


Evelyn jumped when a small broken cry came from behind her. She turned around to find Rain clutching his stomach as he panted heavily. He looked like a mess. He was in his pajamas with his hair all over the place, his face flushed and his whole body was trembling as he struggled to keep standing.

"Rain! What are you doing here?! You should rest! " She told the omega as she tried to stop him.

"I'm o-okay, luna, " He shook his head and stopped Evelyn before he walked towards the two betas who were staring at him.


Calvin couldn't help but frown as he saw the bandage on Rain's head. "You hurt your head?" He asked, making Josh grit his teeth.

"You asshole! You're still acting? " Josh threw another punch at Calvin but this time Calvin dodged him.


"S-Stop fighting! Don't hurt him, Josh, "
Rain cried, causing Josh to look at him frustrated


"Why are you always defending him?!"


"Because he's my mate! "

Rain screamed back and everyone froze in shock as they heard it.


The omega looked down as the tears streamed down his face.

Josh's hands retracted from Calvin's collar as he turned to Rain slowly.
He clenched his fist before asking. "W-What? "
