Unmarked Luna

"Do you know why we called you two here? " Scarlett asked as she sat down with her mate.

The whole alpha family was in the room while Keiran and Evelyn stood there clueless.

"What is it, mom? " Keiran frowned as he walked towards his parents and grandparents. He took a seat on the sofa chair, patiently waiting for an answer.

Scarlett sighed before looking at her mate who nodded for her to go on. "Keiran, I want you to listen to this with a calm mind….. We know you don't like anyone poking their nose into your business but we have to address this issue before it becomes a problem, " Scarlett spoke seriously.

"What are you talking about? " Keiran looked at his parents confused.

"It's about you and your mate, " Keiran's grandmother spoke, causing the alpha's frown to deepen.

"What about me and her?"

Evelyn flinched a little when her mate's voice suddenly turned cold.

"We've noticed that you haven't marked her till yet," Keiran's father said before glancing at Scarlett.

The alpha stood up abruptly with a hard expression. "You must be kidding me," He scoffed. "Since when did we start to discuss these things? "

Evelyn stared wide-eyed at what was happening in front of her.

Did they just ask them about their mating?

"Keiran, this is not a joke… we're serious about it," Scarlett stood up, trying to calm him down.

"Well, even if it's not a joke, I'm not going to discuss my mating with my family," Keiran let out a humorless chuckle. "I'm out of here, " He said before taking his coat and slinging it over his shoulder, and walking to the door.

"Keiran, wait," Scarlett called her son, making him stop.

Keiran turned around with a sigh. "Mom, I told you I don't want to talk about this," He rubbed his temples.

"Son, sit down. We're not going to force you to do it," The former alpha said.

Keiran flopped down on the chair once again while shaking his head and muttering an 'Unbelievable' under his breath.

Evelyn looked down, fiddling with her fingers. Her hands were turning cold.

"Evelyn,"

The omega looked up surprised when her name was called.

"Come sit here, dear, " Keiran's grandmother smiled at the omega who shyly nodded.

The alpha rolled his eyes as the girl hesitantly approached him and sat beside him.

"Keiran, we know it's your personal matter and we are not going to force you both to do it," Scarlett sighed. "We just wanted to warn you about something,"


Keiran didn't say anything but just watched his mother as she spoke.

"Our pack members are beginning to notice that you haven't marked their luna. They think that there are some problems between you two…." Scarlett said.

Evelyn looked at her mate who had a frown on his face.

"Alpha and luna of the pack are supposed to stand together and rule together in unity. If there's a problem between you two, then it's gonna affect the whole pack," Scarlett explained.


"Mom, this is my personal life. I married her as you all wanted. Now you want me to mark her too? Don't I have a choice of what or when to do things? " The alpha spat out frustrated.

"You do, Keiran…. But you know you have to mark her someday or it will affect you both and the pack," The former luna patted her son's shoulder.
"Not marking your mate after finding them will cause major health and mental issues for both of you as the time passes…. We just wanted to warn you about that," She sighed.

Evelyn continued to fiddle with her fingers. She knew about this from Amelia but she didn't know what to say.
She can't just say that they'll do it when they're comfortable because she doesn't even know whether the alpha wants to mark her or not.

So the omega chose to silently listen to everything Keiran's parents said.

"Also, we have something else to tell you, " Keiran's father took an envelope from his pocket. He handed it to his son who looked at it curiously.

"What is it? " The alpha asked, opening the envelope.

"It's an invitation from the Bluemoon Pack," Scarlett smiled. "They want both of you to join their alpha's 50th birthday celebrations,"

"Both of us?" Keiran frowned. "Can I go alone?" He asked suddenly, causing his mother's smile to fade.

"Keiran, Evelyn is your luna. You can't just put her aside like a trophy. She has the right to accompany you to every party and celebration," Scarlett scolded her son. "Your father went to every meeting with his luna and you'll do the same, " She said sternly.

But Evelyn had an unsettling feeling in her heart. She doesn't know how the Bluemoon Pack is…


What if…

Just what if they expose her to the people who are after her?

That will put her Pack in danger…


"Umm... I-I'm fine with not going…. I'm not much experienced with celebrations so it will be good if I don't go," Evelyn stuttered out, looking up at her in-laws.

Scarlett shook her head. "No, dear. It would be disrespectful if the luna didn't go because they invited you both as a couple. And besides, this is how you learn about celebrations," Scarlett smiled.

"But—"

"No, buts, " Scarlett cut her off. "Come on, I'll help you both pack your bags. The celebration is the day after tomorrow," Scarlett said as she stood up.

Evelyn sighed defeatedly and the former luna didn't fail to notice the troubled look on her face.

Scarlett knew something was bothering the omega but she didn't address it in front of everyone.

"I'm going. I have to talk about this with Calvin," Keiran said before walking out of the room.

Evelyn said goodbye to the alpha family before walking towards their bedroom.

"Evelyn!" Scarlet called the omega as she was about to enter her room.

The girl looked up confused.

"I told you I'll help you pack, " The former luna said.

"Oh, thank you, " Evelyn smiled, opening the door wide for her.

"Evelyn, I know you're nervous about going to another pack… but is there something else bothering you? " Scarlett asked, causing the omega's bright green eyes to widen in surprise.

"I-I… it's j-just that I'm a little s-scared," Evelyn looked down. "I don't h-how they'll treat me because I'm an omega…" She lied.

Scarlett heaved a sigh. "Don't worry, okay? Keiran will be there and I'm sure that he'll protect you no matter what," She gripped the omega's shoulder. "Even though you two have some issues, you're still his mate and he won't let anything hurt what's his, "
