Chapter 27 Luna's Identity Revealed

Cecilia's Perspective:

The blurry side profile in the photo made my already furrowed brow tighten even more.

"Why is it just a side profile? I paid you a hefty fee, not to be fooled!" I angrily threw the photo at the detective's face. What a useless idiot. After all this time, he still couldn't figure out what she looked like.

"Cecilia, please don't be mad," the detective said, trying to calm me down as he placed the photo back on the table. "I really did my best. This Stella is more alert than most werewolves. Every time I tried to get closer, she sensed it. I was afraid that if she realized someone was investigating her, it would alarm her."

"Stop making excuses for your incompetence." I glared at him with disgust. "You can't even get close to a woman. You useless idiot."

"Yes, ma'am." The detective didn't dare to explain further, practically groveling.

I couldn't stand his obsequious demeanor. I glared at him again and picked up the photo to scrutinize it closely. Even though I couldn't see her face clearly, there was something oddly familiar about her.

Then I asked, "Who's the father of her child? Where is he now? What's his name?"

The thought of the intimate sounds coming from that hotel room that day reignited the jealousy that had just subsided, burning away my rationality. Just imagining her begging for Silas's touch made me want to tear her to pieces.

"I haven't found that out yet," the detective's timid voice was like gasoline on my fire.

"Then go find out!" I couldn't contain my rage and hurled a coffee cup at him. "If you can't, you'll pay the price!"

My loud voice drew curious glances from the other werewolves in the café.

"Yes, ma'am." The detective yelped and scurried away with his tail between his legs.

After venting my long-suppressed anger, I felt much calmer. I tidied my hair and regained my usual composure.

Hope Hospital. That lowly she-wolf had definitely gone to the wrong place.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Barry Davis, the deputy director of Hope Hospital.

"Cecilia," Barry's voice came through, full of flattery and respect.

"How have you been, Barry?" I asked with a feigned smile.

"I'm doing well," Barry replied.

"That's good to hear. I heard the hospital has hired quite a few new doctors recently."

"Yes, they're all top-notch."

"But there's one psychologist named Stella whose character is questionable. Barry, you wouldn't want to make a mistake in judgment," I said.

Barry paused for a moment, then quickly understood my implication.

"Then she must not be a good doctor. Don't worry, I'll make sure she leaves as soon as she arrives!" Barry promised indignantly.

"There's no need for that," I said, my mood lifting considerably. "People may say, as a deputy director, you are targeting a psychologist. Just teach her the rules properly. Whether she can stick around will be up to her."

Barry replied, "I see. Rest assured, I'll handle it."

"I've always trusted you to get things done. Come over for dinner sometime, and we can discuss your promotion after the director retires."

"Thank you, Cecilia." Barry's voice was filled with excitement and gratitude.

I hung up, and the gloom in my heart vanished instantly.

This was power. With just a word or a gesture, I can make people bow down.

I thought to myself, 'Stella, I'll make you understand that in the world of werewolves, status and power are everything!'

Silas's Perspective:

"Mr. Everhart, I've announced your engagement to the public as you instructed and informed the hospital that your Luna will start today," Harris reported, standing in front of my desk.

"Good," I nodded in satisfaction.

"But, Mr. Everhart, I don't understand why you don't just reveal your Luna's identity directly. Wouldn't that be better?" Harris asked, puzzled.

"I have my reasons. You can go now," I waved him off.

"Yes, sir." Harris didn't dare to ask further and left.

It was still too early to reveal her identity. I wanted her to step into the trap I had carefully set for her.

With her, I could get rid of Cecilia's entanglement and stabilize Alex's condition. Besides, she was the first woman in years to arouse my desire.

I had always prided myself on my strong will, unshaken by any werewolf. But strangely, when it came to her, I felt like a young pup in heat, with only one thought in my mind: to pin her down and take her hard!

Thinking about it, the scene from the hotel flashed in my mind again. Her passionate face and her exhilarating moans all stimulated my senses. I felt a warm rush in my lower abdomen, and I got an erection.

Damn it! The desire to conquer her grew even stronger.

After having her work at my hospital and becoming my fiancée, the next step was to teach her how to submit to the Alpha King.

Seraphina's Perspective:

After instructing Lucas and Saki to stay home and not wander off, I drove to Hope Hospital.

The director of this hospital is one of the six most prestigious elders of the wolf clan, an important subordinate of the Alpha King. This hospital was a place many werewolves dream of working at.

Now that such a great opportunity has fallen into my lap, I must cherish it.

As I approached the hospital's main entrance, a few people set off confetti cannons around me, startling me with the loud noise. I looked at the falling streamers, utterly confused.

'Is there such a welcome ceremony for new employees?' While pondering this, I saw Deputy Director Barry leading a group of werewolf doctors towards me, all of them bowing in unison.

"Welcome, esteemed Luna! Your presence is our greatest honor!"

Seeing the row of people in front of me, my cheeks flushed, and I felt a bit at a loss.

How did they know? Did that brute Silas tell them?

Thinking of this, I felt even more embarrassed and a bit deflated.

I had earned the job offer through my own abilities, but now I got in through Silas.

Silas must have done this on purpose!
