Chapter 44 Enemies Met Again
Seraphina's POV:
Cecilia!
My heart legit stopped right then and there.
Without even thinking, I spun around, dodging her. Through the big ol' floor-to-ceiling window, I saw Cecilia strutting our way.
She looked just like before, maybe even better. The rising hatred made my eyes well up with tears.
She caused the death of my most trusted Amy, separated me from my family, and forced me to live in hiding, barely surviving. Yet, she hasn't faced any punishment and lives so easily!
Why?
Before I could think further, I saw her already behind me. I couldn't care less about her relationship with Silas; I just knew I couldn't let her recognize me!
So, before she could speak, I directly hugged Silas in front of me, burying my face in his chest.
Silas's POV:
I was already ticked off by Stella's misunderstanding of me and Cecilia, and Cecilia's sudden visit only made it worse. Just as I was about to scold her to leave, Stella suddenly turned and hugged me.
Though puzzled, I quickly thought she might be playing hard to get.
First, she distanced herself from me to attract me, and then, seeing Cecilia come to me, she threw herself into my arms to assert her claim.
I didn't expect Stella to use such little tricks; interesting.
I liked seeing her being jealous for me, so naturally, I didn't push her away, letting her do as she pleased. It also served to show Cecilia the reality.
Recently, she had indeed become arrogant after saving Alex.
As expected, Cecilia's face turned ugly when she saw a woman in my arms, but she quickly forced a smile that looked worse than crying.
"Silas, who is she? I didn't know we had a guest. Am I interrupting you?" Cecilia said.
I caught her implication. She called Stella a guest, implying she was the hostess. How presumptuous!
"Since you know, why don't you leave? You're an eyesore standing here!" Stella in my arms spoke sweetly before I could say anything. She deliberately altered her voice, making me a bit uncomfortable.
"You!" Cecilia couldn't control herself anymore, her face turning even uglier.
"I think you don't understand. I am Silas's fiancée! I have more right to be here than you!" Cecilia said.
Hearing Cecilia call herself my fiancée, I squinted my eyes in displeasure and glared at her.
Cecilia, feeling my gaze, lowered her head in fear.
"Really? I remember Silas publicly declared me as his fiancée. Oh, right," Stella laughed mockingly, "an ex-fiancée is still a fiancée, huh?"
"You!" Cecilia was so angry she couldn't speak.
I didn't expect this woman to be so sharp-tongued, able to infuriate her with just a few words. The more time I spent with her, the more I discovered her intriguing sides.
"So, you're Silas's famous, mysterious second fiancée!" Cecilia, suppressing her anger, glared at her. "Why are you hiding in Silas's arms? You aren't dare face me?
"Turning around to introduce yourself is basic courtesy!" Cecilia reached out, trying to force her to turn around.
But before Cecilia could touch her, Stella suddenly screamed, clinging tightly to my neck, shouting in fright, "Baby, don't let her touch me. A lowly werewolf like her doesn't deserve to touch me. Don't let her dirty my clothes. Take me to your room."
"Lowly werewolf?" Cecilia lost her mind, baring her fangs at Stella in anger.
Seeing her audacity in front of me, I couldn't help but get furious and shouted, "Cecilia!"
Cecilia immediately quieted down, lowering her head, not daring to act up.
"Cecilia! This is my house. You better behave yourself, or even if you saved Alex, you'll pay the price!" I coldly warned her.
Cecilia lowered her head even more, and I, not wanting to see her jealousy-twisted face, picked up Stella and left.
Before I got far, I heard the sound of glass shattering behind me.
"Throw her out!" I mercilessly ordered the butler.
A woman who couldn't control her temper had no right to be the Luna of the Wolf Clan!
Seraphina's POV:
Reaching Silas's room, I immediately broke free from his embrace, keeping a distance from him.
"What do you mean by this?" Silas laughed angrily at my actions. "You were just hugging me and calling me baby, and now you change?"
"Are you playing hard to get?" Silas said, approaching me and lifting my chin.
"Drop it!" I slapped his hand away, unable to show him a good face, knowing he had a connection with my enemy.
"What is your relationship with Cecilia?" I coldly questioned.
"She almost became my son's stepmother. What else could she be?" Silas seemed displeased by my rudeness, his face turning cold and disdainful. "What? Are you jealous? Don't forget that we are only in a contractual relationship. You have no right to be jealous about any woman around me, let alone fall in love with me!"
"You're overthinking it!" I glared at him, snorting coldly. "I just have some issues with Cecilia and don't want her to recognize me now! Also, I hope you won't mention me in front of her or interfere in my grudge with her!"
It seems Cecilia was indeed behind Lucas's kidnapping, but she didn't know I was Seraphina from fifteen years ago, only thinking I was Stella competing for Silas with her, so she targeted my son to drive me away from him!
That vile woman! No matter the time, her methods were always disgusting!
"What do you plan to do to her?" Silas's expression turned serious. "Stella, if it's just minor trouble, I can let it go, but you can't go too far. After all, she is my son's savior! I won't let you do anything bad to her!"
I found it amusing that he still considered Cecilia a savior. I stepped forward, teasingly drawing circles on his chest with my finger, then lifted his chin, my fingertip brushing his lips.
Under Silas's increasingly deep gaze, I asked, "She is your son's savior, but what about me? As your fiancée, I should have some privileges, right?"
