Chapter 9 The Super Powerful Alpha Can Actually Cook
Silas's Perspective:
Alex suddenly screamed in pain, and I immediately grabbed Cecilia by the collar, yanking her away from him.
"What the hell are you doing?" I snapped.
Cecilia gave an awkward smile and said, "Silas, kids always make a fuss. Maybe I was a bit too rough and accidentally hurt him, so he thought I was pinching him."
She added, "But this also shows I've been working with the doctor to help him. I mean, he couldn't even say a full sentence before!"
"Enough!" I cut her off, my voice hard. Alex's reaction made it clear their relationship wasn't as rosy as she made it out to be. Holding back my anger, I warned her, "This better be the last time. If I find any marks on Alex, you're done! Now get out!"
Cecilia stumbled away, looking relieved to escape.
Suddenly, Alex's stomach growled. He blushed and covered his belly, looking embarrassed.
I chuckled and patted his head. "Hungry? What do you want to eat? I'll cook for you."
Alex's eyes lit up as he looked at me, clearly surprised.
This time back, I noticed he was livelier than before. Whether or not Alex liked Cecilia as his stepmother, it was undeniable that she had put in a lot of effort to take care of him.
Lucas's Perspective:
This scary yet powerful Alpha can actually cook.
I was a bit surprised, hoping he wouldn't just throw a raw piece of meat in front of me like a werewolf from a primitive tribe.
Contrary to my imagination, Silas was very skilled in the kitchen. The apron on him looked like an adult wearing a child's clothes, making him appear even taller and broader. The aroma of the food softened the dangerous aura of an Alpha wolf.
Nervously, I followed him to the kitchen and obediently sat at the dining table, watching him skillfully tie the apron, wash and chop vegetables, and add seasonings to the pot.
Before long, a delicious bowl of steak rice was placed in front of me. I eagerly took a bite.
To my surprise, it was even better than Mom's cooking!
I was so hungry that I didn't care about anything else and devoured the food.
For the first time, I felt that Silas was Alex's father first and the Alpha of all werewolves second.
"Slow down; no one's going to take it from you." Silas gently pulled out a napkin and wiped my mouth.
All along, I had only relied on Mom and Saki. The first time I felt fatherly love was from a stranger.
"Look at you, all dirty. I'll give you a hot bath, and then you can have a good sleep and forget about everything that happened today, okay?" Silas said to me gently.
I looked at him and nodded obediently.
At first, I thought Alex's biological father and the evil stepmother were bullying Alex together, but now I see I was wrong.
He must be a good father to Alex, but Cecilia blinded him. He didn't know the truth!
Thinking of this, a sense of justice rose in my heart.
Mom always said that werewolves should be grateful and repay kindness, never forgetting a favor, even a meal.
So I would wait one more day to see if Cecilia would do anything bad to Alex!
Mom, wait for me one more day. Once I finish this, I'll come back to you and never run around again!
With that thought, I grabbed my fork and continued to eat voraciously.
Seraphina's Perspective:
To avoid being chased by that crazy werewolf, I deliberately wandered outside for a long time before daring to return to the hotel. By the time I got back, the hamburgers were cold.
I planned to take the kids out to eat, only to find they were already eating.
"Where did this come from?" I asked, surprised.
Saki replied, "Lucas took me to buy it. He has a lot of pocket money, so he bought me lots of delicious food and a pretty dress."
She jumped off the bed, happily showing off her new dress. Her eyes turned into crescents, and her voice was full of admiration. "Lucas was so generous today. He bought me everything I wanted, unlike before when he would scold me for wanting an ice cream. Now, I like Lucas the most."
Saki then ran to Lucas, kissed him, and clasped her hands together. "Oh God, please let Lucas stay this generous forever."
Instead of pushing Saki away like he used to, Lucas grinned widely, touched the spot where she kissed him, and smiled foolishly.
"Lucas!" I said sternly, pretending to be angry. "Didn't I tell you not to run off, especially not with your sister?"
"Why can't you change this habit of running off without telling me? Do you know if you get lost, I won't be able to find you?"
As I spoke, I felt like I was about to cry.
