Chapter 54 Swinging the Mop Right at Their Faces

Seraphina's POV:

The dress was a real puzzle. I spent forever in the fitting room just trying to get it on. Finally, I managed to wrangle myself into it and checked myself out in the mirror. Rocking this fancy princess dress, my mind wandered back to when Mom was still around.

I remembered that birthday when she had given me a dress just like this. She had told me I was the prettiest little princess in the world, her forever treasure.

Back then, I felt like I was living in a fairy tale.

But all that magic shattered when Mom passed away.

Thinking about Cecilia and her crew, a wave of hatred bubbled up inside me, drowning out any sense of reason.

Just as I was getting lost in my sorrow, I heard some noise outside, mixed with a kid crying.

I froze.

Could something have happened to Lucas and Saki?

I didn't waste a second. Hiking up my dress, I bolted out of the room and saw a crowd gathered outside.

The crying was definitely coming from Lucas and Saki. Heart pounding, I pushed through the crowd to see what was up.

There was Lucas, sitting on the ground looking all upset, and Saki bawling her eyes out.

I thought they were in trouble and was about to step in when I saw the two faces I despised the most. Cecilia and Ophelia, standing there with dark looks, getting judged by everyone around.

A tidal wave of hatred crashed over me, making it hard to breathe. I felt a cold chill freeze me to the core. I wanted to rush over and tear those two apart!

But a tiny bit of rationality held me back. Now wasn't the time. I clutched my collar, trying to shove the flames of hatred back down.

The burning need for revenge kept me going as I turned and walked away from the crowd.

Lucas and Saki were my kids; I could tell right away this was one of their little schemes! They weren't really in trouble.

But seeing them make Cecilia and Ophelia so helpless made me proud!

No wonder they were my kids! Way to go!

To avoid getting spotted by Cecilia and Ophelia, I dashed to the utility room, ditched the princess dress, and threw on a janitor's outfit, complete with a hat and mask to stay undercover.

In my rush, I accidentally tore the dress a bit while taking it off. But I didn't have time to worry about that. I grabbed a bucket and mop and hurried back out.

When I got outside again, I saw Cecilia trying to yank off Lucas's glasses.

Right then, I elbowed my way through the crowd and swung my water-soaked mop right at their faces. "Your mouths are so filthy. Let me clean 'em up for ya!"

They screamed like banshees, their perfect makeup ruined. They yelled at me, "You damn bitch! What the hell is this?"

"It's the mop that just cleaned the toilet," I said with a smirk. "What? Rich folks don't even know what a mop looks like?"

When they heard it had just cleaned the toilet, they started gagging.

Seeing them in such a mess made me feel on top of the world.

The nearby werewolves were cracking up too.

"You bitch!" Cecilia spat, trying to hold back her nausea, glaring at me with bloodshot eyes. "How dare you! Are you tired of living?"

"Yeah, rich lady," I shot back, looking at the mother and daughter with a smirk. "You gonna kill me? I'm curious, do rich people kill us poor folks by throwing money at us?"

The crowd erupted in mocking laughter.

"You!" Cecilia was fuming and looked ready to pounce on me.

"Forget it. Let's go. There's no reasoning with these savages!" Ophelia tried to pull her back.

She knew if this kept going, it wouldn't end well for them, so she wanted to bail.

"Why should we?" But Cecilia had lost it completely.

She shook off Ophelia's hands and glared at us viciously. "A bunch of lowly creatures! How dare you resist me! Today, I'll show you! Lowly wolf breeds like you should bow down to us!"

With that, Cecilia lunged at me, and we started wrestling.

I grabbed her swinging hand right away.

"Let go of me!" She struggled like a wildcat.

Looking at her disgusting face, memories of Amy's death flashed in my mind.

The hatred boiling inside me made my eyes red. I raised my hand and slapped her across the face.

The sharp sound of the slap stunned all the werewolves around.

"How dare you hit me!" Cecilia stared at me in disbelief, tears of rage welling up in her eyes.

That slap seemed to flip a switch in me, and I couldn't stop.

Ignoring her words, I raised my hand and slapped her again.

And again.

I lost count of how many times I hit her, but each slap was harder than the last. The hatred numbed the pain in my palm, and I hit faster and faster, almost losing my mind.

Cecilia seemed too stunned to fight back. She was so beaten she couldn't stand. If I hadn't been holding her, she would've collapsed to the ground, unable to get up.

The other werewolves were just standing there, mouths hanging open, too shocked to react.

"You lunatic!" Ophelia finally snapped out of it and stumbled towards me.

I shoved Cecilia away and started grappling with Ophelia. In the struggle, she scratched my face hard.

And she actually tore off my mask.
