Damini's POV



I got ready and came out of my room to go to the dining area of the guest house. On my way there I came across his room.

He had not returned yet. I hope he comes back today.

Ha ha ha. Admit it, darling... You are missing him. Said my inner self.

You got to be joking.

Deny it, if it gives you pleasure... But I know you miss him. You missed him all these 10 years and you missed him like hell in the last two days.

You know what?? You have gone mad, why would I miss him??? Him?? Of all the people?

Then why did you enjoyed when he kissed you?

I did not, ok? You have lost it.

No dear you lost your heart to him.

Shut up !! I said to my inner me.

I just went out as the driver was here. I didn't want to eat now.

I came to our office and started my work. I had started making the main and tentative plan of the township.

" Hi !!" I said to Samar who was entering the office.

" Oh, Hi!! " Samar said

" You are a bit early. " I said to Samar.

" So are you. " He smiled.

" Sometimes, I work at odd hours. I had some ideas in my mind, so I wanted to work on them. "

" Oh ok, I have to go to court. I have a case. So I came early. " I just smiled at that.

" Have you settled here ?? I mean are you comfortable? Please feel free to let us know if you need anything. " He said again.

" I need to buy a car of my own. "

" But why ??? You can use any of our cars? We have 6 cars and we use only 2. "

That's so sweet of him. But I wanted my own car.

" But, Samar... "

" Oh, please yaar... If you want a driver we can provide you and if you want to drive on your own, then also it is fine. "

" But... "

" Ok, talk to my dad about it. I don't want to be killed by him ." He said with a funny face and I could not help laughing.

" Hey, I did not have breakfast. I am extremely hungry, I am giving order what would you like? "

" Anything... " I said and he ordered food.

" Damini, we will be needing staff for smooth functioning. I have scheduled the interviews for tomorrow. Sahil and Sagar will be back today so three of you can select them according to your requirements.

" What about you?? "

" I am in the court most of the times and anyways I just need one PA. You people can select the rest. "

" Ok "

Our food came he had called for sandwiches, cutlets and coffee.

" We need to have a kitchenette here or some canteen to have coffee, tea or snacks," He said

" We will have it in our real office. No need to have it here, it is temporary... So we can order from outside and have a coffee machine here. " I replied to him and he nodded.

We had our food and then he left for the court. I kept working on my designs.

It was almost 1 PM when I stretched my limbs. I had done a lot of work today.

I was feeling tired and hungry so decided to explore the market in the same sector...

I went to various shops and did some shopping. And bought some outfits for me and a few things for my room and was planning to eat something when Samar called me.

" Hey, where are you?"

" I came to explore the market. I was planning to eat while I am in the market. Where are you? "

" I am in the office. I will come where are you? " I told him about the place.

" I'll be there in less than 5 minutes. " He said and disconnected the phone.

He came and we had our lunch. The food was awesome. It was a multi-cuisine restaurant. We enjoyed the food. I took the menu card from there so we could order in the office.

We came back to the office. Samar was carrying my shopping bags and was laughing at the fact that I bought so many things. We entered inside and saw that Both the brothers were there.

Samar said hello to both of them and placed my bags on the side table and hugged Sahil and shook hands with Sagar.

Sagar was as usual staring at me. My heart started beating fast again.

" Hey, it's good you both are back... Damini has made some tentative designs. Let's see them and give our views anything can be added or eliminated at this time. She has been working very hard. "

" Yes, of course... I can see, you both have worked really hard," Sagar said looking at the shopping bags. Sahil laughed at that trying to imply that his comment was funny. Samar laughed too, but I knew, what he meant.

Idiot... Irritating... Annoying...

" Oh, she came quite early today and was working the whole morning. She got bored and tired so went to explore the market. Hey, did you both have lunch?? We just had and the food was amazing we could order for you."

" Thanks, but we had it on our way here. " Sahil said.

We all saw my overall plans and they liked them. I showed them 3 options of the designs and they selected one.

" We need a few things for this office and our work. When have you called people for the interview? " Sahil asked.

" The interviews are scheduled for tomorrow. As far as the things you need, You give me the list, I will send someone to get them from the market. " Samar said.

" It's ok we will get them ourselves. " Sahil said.

" Ok, as you wish... " Samar said and we all went to get the things and equipment which we needed for our work.

By the evening we had bought everything we wanted so work comfortably.

Then we all had dinner and came to our guest house... I went to my room changed and slept.

Next day I again thought of leaving earlier to avoid meeting him in the morning. I did not want to start my morning with his stares.

So, I called the driver and left. Had my breakfast on the way. I was working in the office when they came. He went to his office and worked. That day we had to conduct interviews. We took interviews and selected people for all the post. Along with all the other staff members we hired Secretaries or assistants for all 4 of us.

We briefed the work to all of them. The overall plan was ready. I got down to finish with the designs and was working day and night to give my best so Started making detailed designs for apartments, offices and other buildings. I avoided talking to him and left earlier in the mornings to avoid him. I managed to do that for about a week.

But I could not do that forever, I had to work with them. Sahil had gone back to Delhi for some time and I was bound to work with Sagar. But I tried not to be alone with him. I talked to him whenever it was necessary.

All the plans and designs were made and approved by three of them as well as authorities. So we had to start with construction very soon.

So uncle suggested that we have the Bhoomi poojan ( ground digging ceremony). It was good and we were excited about so, we decided to set a date for Bhoomi pooja.

Sahil came back and the preparation for the pooja was in its full swing. All the invitations were sent. I was very excited.

Sagar maintained the distance and was trying to make a healthy work environment and I was thankful for that. Though he still used to look at me as he used to 10 years back...

I was just a bit curious to know why was he so calm all of a sudden. Was it the calmness before some storm?

Well, it was good but that was weird... Not normal... He didn't try to talk to me unnecessarily.

What was he up to...??
