Chapter 79

Sagar's POV



Our house was bursting with excitement as everyone was getting ready for the sangeet. Gautam and Maurvi had also arrived. Everyone teased them as well as they just came back from their honeymoon.

All the members of the family were performing on something or the other. I was also excited to see all the performances and was dying to see my love, as I had not seen her for the last 4 days.

We all reached the guesthouse, where all the arrangements were made for sangeet as it had a very nice and big place which was apt for that. Her parents were already there. Both the families greeted each other.

We all were sitting when she arrived with Anshu, Swati and Manu. As usual, my heartbeat increased. She was looking awesome.

She was made to sit away from me. That was not fair but I kept looking at her. My friends were sitting near me.

Samar was anchoring along with Swati. The first performance was from her family.

It was a performance on

Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye, Dulhan Kyon sharmaye...

Her mom and friends danced on it. They all were looking so good while Damini was blushing as her friends were pointing towards me to tease her.

And then the music changed and the song Mahi ve......

started playing and Samar and Sahil danced and Sahil pulled Damini to dance along with them.

Oh god !!! she was looking so cute.

Her mom was getting very emotional so I joined them and hugged her. She smiled and kissed my forehead.

" Now a surprise performance by the moms' of bride and groom. " Samar said

Everyone hooted and clapped for both the moms'. The song started playing.

Navrai Majhi Laadachi Ladachi Ga.....

Damini's mom started dancing and then my mom joined in even her dad joined in. They were looking so cute. It was a beautiful performance. We all clapped and I picked up my mom when she came towards me.

" Leave me stupid ... She said shyly. " I Hugged her and Damini was also hugging her parents.

" That was amazing Aunty... You both rocked it. Now a very beautiful performance by Manu...." Samar said and smiled.

She started her dance on,

Oh my god! ... She was such a graceful dancer... It seemed as if she was a professional dancer. I looked at Sahil he was looking at her continuously without blinking. She finished her dance flawlessly and everyone gave her a very big round of applause. Mom, Swati and Damini hugged her.

Vikram patted my back and said, " That's my sister... " he was looking like a proud brother. I smiled at him.

" Wow... that was a mesmerizing performance... Now a cute Punjabi girl is going to perform ... A big round of applause for Swati... "

Awww !! my cute little sister started performing on the Punjabi wedding song...

She has always been a good dancer.. she was enjoying the dance to the fullest when Samar couldn't stop himself and joined her... Later Sahil also joined them. It was so entertaining. Everyone was enjoying it. I went to hug my cute little doll. She was so happy.

" Well that was amazing... now we have a performance by Samar and Manu..." Swati announced

They started their performance on Radha teri chunri, Oh radha tera.

They danced well on it. Everyone was enjoying as both of them were very good dancers. She looked so good when she smiled. Even Sahil was ogling at her only.

" It was a great one... We enjoyed a lot... Now the next one is Sagar bhai's friends Megha bhabhi and Mehul Bhai... " Swati said.

Oh god, they danced on Pallo Latke..

They danced nicely. In the middle of the song, Mehul and Megha pulled Damini and me to join them. She did a few shy movements but I really enjoyed .. I looked at Damini. She was blushing profusely, I hugged her lightly and everyone hooted.

" It was very entertaining...thanks for this one. Our love birds also danced on the song to make it more special.

Now another performance by Sahil bhai, Samar Ji and their friend Ria " Swati announced.

They danced on ... Dil chori sada ho gaya..

It was an awesome performance. Very hot .... All the boys were hooting.

All three of them danced very well. I looked at Manu she looked a bit uncomfortable after watching this.

" Awesome... It was a good performance. And now the next one is by a very cute couple, Gautam Bhai and Maurvi bhabhi... " Swati announced again.

They danced on Morni ban ke...

It was so cute. Everyone was dancing with the music.. they also dragged me and Damini. Everybody was clapping.

" Wow!! That was so entertaining Gautam bhaiya... Now we have a performance by Samar Ji. " Swati said.

The music started and he started his performance on Sweetheart song...

We all laughed at the words Daawat and Shahi Tukrda as he is a die-hard foodie. He even selected the song where the girl is compared to food.

But the very next few lines made me worry.

Sharmaaye si bagal mein,

Jo baithi hai dulhan ke,

Wahi toh meri Sweetheart hai....

And he pointed towards the bride. Manu and Swati were sitting on either side of Damini. Oh god!! This is not possible he can not fall for Manu... He was getting very friendly with her. She was also quite comfortable around him. Oh god !! No, this is not done..

I looked at Sahil.. he looked uncomfortable and annoyed.

Samar danced very well but I was tensed as hell. I decided to tell him to stay away from Manu. But I would have to wait till this was over.

There was loud applause. I clapped to though my mind was wandering.

" Thanks, everyone for the applause. Now Sagar's friends are going to perform for you all. Please enjoy... " Samar said.

Gautam came forward and said, " We know that Sagar is in love with Damini for the last 11 years. It was love at first sight for him.. and it all started in front of us. The whole school knew about his feelings for her...there were many rumours about them...

So Sagar and Damini... This one is for both of you, to tell you that what was going on in school. How popular you were... always being discussed by others in the school. Most of the things were so funny... And all of you please enjoy this little performance by us which shows how people discussed our live birds.

They started the track and the moment I recognised the song, I knew what was about to come. It was a song from movie Saath Saath.

Oh god all my 4 friends, their wives and Sahil did such a hilarious performance on the already very hilarious song.

Everyone was laughing like anything.. Damini hid her face in her palms and they literally dragged us in the middle of the dance. All my friends were teasing us mercilessly and Damini ultimately tried to get away but girls caught her and made her stand in front of me. Her face was as red as a beetroot. Even I was embarrassed but it was really funny. She hid her face again. Everyone in the function was enjoying as if they were there at our school time. We all were getting nostalgic ...

" Wow... Now this one was amazing... Made all of us nostalgic and we all went down the memory lane... Out of the world. Now the best part of the evening... As we all know that Sagar and Damini sing very well so I request them to sing a song and dance for us. " Samar announced and everyone was very excited.

I got up from my place and went near her. I took her hand in mine and we came to the centre of the room and I started singing a song for her

Everyone present there either hooted or whistled and gave a very big round of applause.

" Awesome.... Amazing... Romantic... It was out of the world. Now as everyone is in a mood to dance and enjoy so here come to another song... Just enjoy every one. "Samar said and the next song filled the atmosphere with excitement.

It was Gallan goodiyaan... Everyone was a part of this performance they enjoyed a lot. They danced leaving any kind of inhibition they had. It was so good to have such lovely people around.

The evening came to an end and we all were tired by now so we had our food and went back so that we could rest as there were many functions on the next day starting from the morning itself.
