Damini's POV



I was getting ready for our engagement. My mom was getting very emotional and happy at the same time.

She was fussing over my dress and jewellery... I knew she was just too excited... But I caught her hands in mine and made her sit.

" Mom please, calm down. I will get ready in time... I have everything that I want please don't worry.. "

" Hmmm you will get to know when your kids will get married.. " she said

" Oh please, mom... I am not even married yet and you are talking about the marriage of my children... You are too much. "

" Ok ... Get ready.. the makeup expert will be here at any moment. " I will go and see if everything is done or not. "

She left after kissing my forehead.

The makeup artist came and I got ready... I had invited my friend Anshu. She was here with me, I had no other friends. Guests had started coming. There was a knock on my door. Anshu opened the door. Swati, Priya, Megha, Manyata and Sandhya were here. They all were looking so pretty. I was very happy now that my old, as well as new friends, were here.

" Oh god, you are looking awesome bhabhi... " Swati said with excitement.

" Yes, Sagar Ji will lose his mind after looking at you. " Sandhya said.

" You are looking so hot.. are you trying to give a shock to poor Sagar. Thank God Vikram is here... to take care of his friend in case of some emergency. " Megha said with a wink.

" Rahul was saying that Sagar bhaiya did not even sleep a wink and was counting every minute till now. " Priya said with a smile. All the girls laughed.

" You are beautiful Damini... Sagar Ji is already crazy about you. You both are very lucky. " Manyata said and I saw that her smile looked sad.

I was blushing with their comments. Just then Samar knocked on the already opened door.

" Hey, girls...someone is going crazy to have a glimpse of his fiance... Have mercy on him.. come Damini.. your Sagar may come here otherwise. "

I got up, he smiled at me and said, " Come let me take you to him.. after all, you are officially my sister now. " He winked at me and I smiled at him.

" Hey bhabhi, I wanted to take you there. " Swati said.

" We both can take her there. " Samar smiled at her and she nodded.



Sagar's POV



" Don't worry she will be here soon. Girls take time to get ready. " Rahul said.

" What if she has changed her mind about Sagar?? " Mehul said teasingly and I punched him. He laughed and shook his head. I was still glaring at him.

" Hey... I think she is coming. " Sahil said. I looked in the direction and my heart started beating frantically. She was looking so gorgeous. I even forgot to blink my eyes. I am sure, I would have forgotten to breathe too if that system was not automatic.

She looked at me and smiled shyly. Oh god, I placed my hand on my chest to make my heart stay there only.

" Need help? Are you alright? " Vikram teased me. I just nodded.

" She looks better than she used to look at that time. " Sahil said and I hit him with my elbow.

" She is your bhabhi... " I said to him.

" I know that even before you realised that... So don't worry, she is my bhabhi since that day," he said and all of them laughed.

She came to me and stood in front of me. I realised that Samar was holding her hand lightly. I glared at him and he looked confused then I looked towards his and he also followed my gaze and looked at his hand. He laughed and released her hand and raised his both hands as one does while surrendering.

Everyone was hooting and clapping for us... I extended my hand towards her but Sahil caught her hand and said,

" This is your last chance... You can still choose me over him " Sahil winked at her.

I swear, I will kill my own brother someday...

" Samar, can you bring a pot full of ice-cold water or piping hot coffee? I think he wants a repeat telecast of a certain action of mine. " She said smiling at Sahil. Sahil looked petrified.

" Sure, what you prefer Sahil? " Samar asked Sahil with a smile.

" No thanks... Bhabhi.. " he said and she smiled.

He placed her hand in mine.

I looked at her again and she blushed. Everyone was standing around us for the ceremony. Swati came with our rings. I placed the ring on her ring finger. The red tint on her face was making her much more beautiful.

Then she took my ring and slid it on my third finger.

I was on cloud nine as she was mine now. Everyone congratulated and hugged us. Our parents and relatives came and gave blessings to us. My mom was introducing Damini to our relatives and friends.

There was happiness and excitement in the eyes of our parents. Her parents were also introducing me to their friends and family. Mom was excited that at least one of us is getting married. She went away with her friends to lead them towards food and snacks.

I caught Damini's hand in mine, she looked at me shyly and only I know how I controlled my urge to take her in my arms.

" How can you do that??

" What ?? What have I done ??"

" Do you want me to die?? "

" What?? Have you gone mad? What does that mean?? "

" Why are you looking so amazingly beautiful... My heart was about to come out of my chest. " She took a deep breath.

" Sagar !! You scared me... "

" No seriously, I even forgot to blink or breath, thank God, respiration takes place on its own. otherwise, I would have died. "

" Sagar... that was too much ok ?? "

" Not ok... You can't look like this... Everyone was looking at you. I wanted to beat them.. "

" Sagar, I am the bride to be. It is our engagement, of course, people will look at both of us. "

" Girls can look at you but not boys. "

" Don't be ridiculous, Sagar. "

" Why was Samar holding your hand?"

" Oh God!! Not again. For god's sake Sagar, he is not interested in me. In fact, he is officially my brother now, stop being jealous of him. "

" But, I am possessive about you, can't help it. I love you so much. Can we just run away and get married? "

" We are getting married na?? Why do you want us to run away..?

" Because you are mine. I don't want to wait for 15 days more. Do you know every minute takes at least one hour to pass?" I said looking at her intensely.

Just then Anshu came to meet her. She congratulated us and we smiled at her. She looked at me and apologized that she didn't tell me anything about Damini and her brother hurt me.

I smiled at her and hugged her lightly, " It's ok... It was not your fault .. you were just trying to protect your friend. You behave in that way as you thought that I betrayed her. I understand Anshu.. it was no one's fault. But see we are together now. So all's well if it ends well. Don't worry. " she smiled at me. Damini nodded and smiled lovingly at me. Anshu congratulated once again and left us alone again.

Most of the people were busy in the food or DJ.

I couldn't take my eyes off her...she was blushing very hard.

" Don't look at me like that Sagar.. " she leaned towards me and whispered.

" Like what ?? "

" Sagar... don't please.... "

" Why?? You are mine. I want to see you for the rest of my life. " I said and she smiled and turned a bit more red.

I felt so good when she blushed because of me.

" I swear if all these people were not around, I would have done something... "

" What ?? " She looked confused and a bit startled at what I said.

" Let it be... " I said smiling and shaking my head.

" Why?? Tell me.. " she insisted.

" You are almost as red as a rose love. I don't want you to faint in front of everyone. I will tell you when we are alone... "

" No, tell me right now .."

" Ok, now that we are engaged I think we should upgrade the course of our classes..... " I said and she looked at me as if I was a ghost.
