Sagar's POV



" They want to meet you tonight. So come for dinner at my place. " Samar said to me.

" Wow!!! Thanks, bro... You are amazing. By the way, didn't your dad ask, who do you love? " I asked out of curiosity.

" Of course he did, but I said that I will tell him soon. " Samar said with a smile.

" So what will you do now?? where is the girl?? " I asked.

" I will have to tell her about my feelings... I don't even know what she thinks about me. I don't know if she would accept my feelings or not. "

" She would understand your feelings. Have you never talked to her? " I asked him.

" I have talked to her a few times... But never about my feelings. "

" But why?? "

" Somehow... I didn't think it was right... But when my dad talked about my wedding with Damini, all I could think was about her. I just hope everything goes well. I want her and her family to accept me as her life partner. "

" She definitely would... You have helped me so much...I promise I will definitely help you, bro. " I said to him and he hugged me.

" Thanks, Sagar... I will look forward to taking your help. "

" Hello I am also here, this is not fair. I am your best friend, still, you never told me about the girl. " Sahil put his arm on Samar's shoulder.

" Sorry, but I was not very sure if what I feel for her is just infatuation or I seriously feel something for her. But now I am sure... I like her a lot... I would love to have her in my life. "

" Great... Let me know. when you meet her... I will help you too. " Sahil said and Samar hugged him too. He was happy and so was I.

" How is Damini now? "

" She was relieved of course but she is tensed as hell. "

" Why? I will convince her parents that I will keep her very happy. "

" That is not a problem... They are almost convinced. " Samar said and I smiled but then why was she tensed.

" Then what is the problem?? "

" She is apprehensive about your safety," Sahil said looking at me.

" This girl thinks too much. " I said with a smile and shook my head. I wanted to take her in my arms and take away all her apprehensions and make her lose herself into me.

It was evening and I got ready to go and meet her parents and

Mr Mathur. I asked Sahil to come with me but he was in a weird mood. He said he wants to sleep early. But I insisted that he comes, after all, he was the only family member who was here and on top of that he looked a bit tensed.

He got ready and we both went to Samar's place.

Mr Mathur and Mr Shrivastav both were in the living room. We went there and Mr Mathur introduced me to Damini's dad. I touched the feet of both the men. Sahil also did that.

Just then Damini's mom also came along with her. Damini was looking very pretty. I touched her mom's feet as well. She gave me a very beautiful smile and blessed me.

She looked at Sahil and was amused to see the resemblance between us.

" Oh my god... You look exactly like each other.. " her mom said keeping a hand on her mouth.

" And you look like Damini's older sister ma'am. " I said and she chuckled and shook her head.

" Awww.. what a charmer you are.. "

" No ma'am seriously, my brother is not wrong...... If I did not know that she is your only child, I would have that that you are her sister. You look exactly the way, you used to look 10 years back. " Sahil said smiling. Idiot...

Her mom was smiling like anything.

" That is so sweet of you beta. So tell me about your family. " She asked me and I told her about my parents and sister as they had already met Sahil.

Damini just kept looking at me nervously, I smiled at her to assure her that everything will be fine.

Uncle asked me about my qualifications and family business and told them that I was an Engineer and had done MBA as well and that our dad had a Real estate Empire.

" So young man... Why should I give my daughter's hand to you in marriage? " Said Mr Shrivastav.

" Sir I think I am well educated, well settled, independent, belongs to a very cultured, liberated, educated, well-known family and above all I love your daughter a lot. I love her for the last 11 years and I have never even thought about any other girl. "

" Well young boy... People threatened me years ago that they would kill my daughter and her love if she tries to marry in another caste. So what will you do if such a situation arises? "

" Sir, I love her more than I love myself. So if any such situation arises they will have to face me even before casting an evil eye at her. Sir My family is very influential and we have many contacts. My family and I will make sure that nothing of this sort ever happened. We can hire more security. The commissioner of Chandigarh is my friend's father. Rest assured sir we will take care of the matter. I would not let anybody harm her or come between our happiness."

" Uncle he is so crazy about Damini, that once he had an accident and he went into a coma, but just before he slipped into a coma and just after he came out of it, the only word he said was Damini. I assure you he will take care of her. We all will take of them both. Samar was telling me today that Mathur uncle has so much hold on those people... So the problem will not arise. " Sahil said

" Yes beta... We all will take care of the matter... "Mr Mathur said and Mr Shrivastav nodded.

" Sagar beta... She has always stayed away from home so she has not learnt any household chores and cooking. I mean she can cook basic food, but... " Aunty said.

" Aunty, you don't have to worry about it, I will not allow her to cook, even if you allow. Yesterday she was trying to burn the small kitchenette in her room. High flames were coming out of the pan she was holding. I was so scared to see her like that. "

" Shut up Sagar... I can cook. It was just an accident. " Damini glared at me and I smiled. Everyone started laughing.

" Beta, we know that you both want to spend your life together. We have no objection regarding this. When can we meet your parents? " Her dad asked.

" Sir, my dad is going abroad tomorrow in the morning for about 10 days or so. So Sahil is going to Delhi to get my mom and sister here. They will be here within two days. " I retorted.

" Oh, so we will meet your whole family except your dad in two days," he said.

" Sir just give me two minutes, I will video call him and you can at least talk to each other. " I said and I called my dad. I told him that Damini's dad, Mr Shrivastav wanted to talk to him.

I made them talk to each other on a video call. They talked for about 10 minutes and decided to meet when he comes back to India, They both seemed to like each other. The three old men were talking as if they were old friends.

Sahil and Samar hugged me and Damini. She looked happy but something was still bothering her. I wanted to talk to her... But could not get a chance.

" Sir, actually my best friend is getting married day after tomorrow, and his fiance had become a very good friend of Damini. So can you please allow her to come with me to attend their wedding? "

" Of course beta... She can go with you... " Aunty said and smiled at me and her husband. He just nodded.

We all had dinner and Sahil and Samar also looked very happy.
