Damini's POV



I was still working, when he walked in. Oh no, he must have been Sahil as Sagar was wearing something else.

" Where is Sagar?? " He asked me. He looked a bit alarmed.

" How do I know?? "

I was annoyed with his brother and here this one has also started asking questions.

" What do you mean that you don't know. He was with you. Right?? "

" So??? I am not his PA, that I keep a tab of what he does and where he goes. "

" For God's sake... Please tell me where is he?? "

" I don't know. "

" His car is not here. " He looked scared with that such a little thing.

" Very funny... Is it a big deal? He is not here so his car is also not here. "

I said and it seemed as if Sahil was trying to control his anger.

" Did you two fight? " He asked me.

" I don't even want to talk to him, he is an idiot. So arrogant... "

" Shut up, Ok! " He said and started calling him. But it seemed that he was not picking up the phone.

" Pick up the phone, you stupid." Sahil was muttering while clenching his fist and looked very tense.

" Hello?? Why were you not picking up the phone?? ..... What?? Are you insane??...... No, you are not..... I can't let you go like this... Don't even think about it..... Come back..... Shit." It seemed that Sagar had disconnected the phone call. Sahil looked much more panicked and scared.

What the hell was going on?? Why was he making a mountain out of a molehill?

" What happened?? " I asked as he was pacing in the room like a wounded lion, but he fully ignored me and kept trying his number.

" Tell me what happened between you? " He asked in an angry tone.

" Nothing. "

" Tell me the truth, Damini... Stop playing games. " Sahil got furious.

" Nothing happened. What is wrong with you? " Sahil again tried calling him and Sagar seemed to disconnect.

" Oh god !! Please pick up Bhai." He was muttering with his eyes shut tightly.

" Why are you panicking so much? What happened?? " I asked and he glared at me so hard that if looks could kill, I would have died then and there.

" Tell me what happened between you two? "

" Nothing, he asked me, if I like Samar? " I told him.

" And??? " He came closer to me and I was literally scared to see the look on his face. He looked scared too.

" And I said that what if I do?? And he glared at me and went out banging the door. "

" What??? You said what?? Shit!!! Do you like Samar? " He asked coming closer to me, with an angry expression.

"Well, I was annoyed, so I... " I started speaking but he said.

" If anything happens to him because of you this time, I swear, you will curse the day you were born. " His eyes were absolutely red and it looked as if he was going to burst with anger and frustration.

What did he just say?? If anything happens to him because of me again... Again?? What happened to him in the past?? I left him so that nothing wrong happens to him.

Oh God ...why was Sahil so shocked, scared and angry??

" What?? What do you mean by that?" I was shocked by his behaviour.

He started going out trying to call him. I caught the sleeve of his shirt to stop him. He turned and gave me an angry look.

" What?? "

" What is wrong?? "

" How does that matter to you?? " He said and pulled his hand to go out when his phone got connected.

" Sagar... Just come back... In fact, I just stay where you are, I will not let you drive to Delhi... No, it is not ok... You are not driving. Got it? Stay there... I am coming. " He said and exhaled as if he was holding a breath for a long time and ran outside.

Why was he panicking so much? What was wrong with Sagar?? What was the big deal if he was driving?? What was the problem?? I hope Sagar is alright.



Flashback



I saw the pain in his eyes that day, I wanted to hug him and tell him that... I loved him too. But I could not do that to him. He was so cute and innocent. I didn't want him to get into danger...

I avoided him for days and months. He kept singing songs for me in the recess sitting on the window. I behaved as if, I could not see or hear him. Something was dying in me for hurting him like that. But at least he was alive.

My parents came to know about my feelings for him as that day when Sagar had that fight with our senior, someone who knew my parents told them after a few days.

My parents saw that I was hurting too. So my dad talked to me.

" Beta, what is the matter??? You are always lost in your own thoughts. "

" Nothing dad. "

" What is his name? "

" Whose name, dad?? "

" You know whom I am talking about."

" No. "

" The guy you like. The one who fought for you in front of your school.?"

" Doesn't matter, dad. "

" It does if it gives you so much pain to avoid him ." He said with so much love that I cried like anything. I hugged my dad and cried for a long time. He kept patting me saying soothing words.

" Sagar. "

" Do you like him? "

" Y.yes, Dad. "

" So he must be very special. " I just smiled.

" So what do you want? "

" Dad I don't know... He said he loves me but I kept ignoring him. It hurts me too when I hurt him, but I don't want him to suffer because of some insane people. He doesn't deserve that."

" No one deserves that, beta. I am sorry as you are scared for him, I am scared for you. " He said and I just nodded.

" Do you think, he is serious about you? "

" He is more than serious, dad. The whole school knows that he cares for me. "

" Beta, there is something, we can compromise on. let's see if it works?"

" What? "

"You go out of India and complete your studies there. This matter will get cold and we will find a way to get out of it. Then, if you both still feel the same about each other, we may allow you to be with each other. Please try to be understood, beta. You are our only child. We will not be able to survive if anything happens to you." My dad said and I looked at him with a shocked expression. Did he just say, what I think he said??

" Dad, are you... Sure? "

" We know how restless one feels when they are in love. We are your parents, beta. We know how are you feeling. But I can't afford to lose you. Just give it some time. Go abroad, study well, make a career for yourself and come back and if everything is fine at that time. We will not stop you. "

" I love you, dad. " I said hugging him hard.

" So this name Sagar rings a bell in my head. Is he the same guy who won many prizes in various competitions on children's day? "

My mom asked with a smile.

I nodded and smiled.

" Oh, he is a very nice boy. I liked him a lot. " Mom said. I blushed at that my mom hugged me. I was feeling a bit shy and ran away to my room.

I planned to talk to Sagar on the next day. I was ignoring him like hell. I hated myself for being rude to him. But now, I won't have to do that. I decided to tell him about my feelings for him. I would tell him everything and that I need to go abroad to complete my studies. But I will be back and if we still feel the same for each other, then we can be together forever.
