Chapter 134: Monica in the Rain

Monica walked out of the Principal room and walked towards the cafe without stopping.
The sky began to lightly rain slowly, and the whole sky became dark. Many pedestrians were running or walking in a hurry. Seeing Monica walking slowly on the road, they all showed strange expressions.
This person is probably out of her mind, and it's going to rain heavily, yet she still walks so slowly.
Monica ignored the gazes of these people, she walked her own way, but felt that the cool wind was blowing her soberly.
She only likes Laurence's coffee, so that she let him to be closer to her by her side.
What happened?
The cold wind was getting stronger and stronger, and the smile on Monica's lips was getting bigger and bigger.
She walked quickly, and finally ran amidst the lightning and thunder.
When she ran to the cafe, Oliver was in a daze at the front desk.
While he was admiring the weeping willows being toppled by the strong wind outside, he suddenly saw a a bright figure running towards him.
The rain was heavy, but her speed seemed to be faster than the rain falling to the ground.
The figure gradually approached, and finally, Oliver saw who she was, and he said in a daze, "Miss Moore?"
His eyes gradually widened: "No, it's really Miss Moore!"
If Mr. Hall knew that he was just looking at Monica running in the rain without doing anything to help her, he would have skinned himself!
Oliver took out his umbrella and wanted to rush out, but Monica had already arrived at the door of the cafe very quickly. Oliver hurriedly opened the door, and Monica stood at the door wet, her delicate little face was a little pale, but she was still extremely beautiful. Everything around her was eclipsed, Oliver looked at her, a little stunned.
Monica casually took off her drenched coat, afraid of getting wet on the cafe floor, she didn't go in, but asked, "Oliver, where's your boss?"
Oliver was still delighted that Monica remembered his name, and then realized that Monica wanted to find their boss.
But the boss didn't come back after going out in the afternoon, and no one knew where he went.
He was about to shake his head in depression, but Kevin's calm voice came from behind him.
"Our boss has gone to Q state, and he won't be back until the day after tomorrow."
Monica's eyes dimmed slightly, but she regained her composure immediately, and she said softly, "Excuse me."
Then, despite the heavy rain, she opened the door and was about to leave.
There was a look of surprise in Kevin's eyes, he hurried forward a few steps, wanted to hold Monica but didn't dare to do it, just said lightly: "Why not leave after the rain stops."
Monica shook her head, the rain was nothing to her, it only made her more sober, she looked at Kevin behind her, her voice was very soft, but she was extremely firm: "When he comes back, let him come to see me ."
Kevin looked at her and nodded slightly.
Monica didn't say much, she walked into the rain casually, and walked slowly towards the dormitory building.
Kevin didn't take out his mobile phone until he couldn't see her, and called Laurence: "Boss, Miss Moore wants to see you."
Laurence was talking to the blond man across from him, he was slightly startled when he heard this, and gave him a gesture to wait a moment, then walked to the side and asked casually, "What else did she say?"
Kevin shook his head, and then realized that the other party couldn't see it through the phone, and said again: "Miss Moore didn't say anything else, she just left in the rain."
The weather in State Q was fine, it was early in the morning, but Laurence seemed to be shrouded in endless clouds, his voice became cold: "You let her leave like this?"
Kevin didn't say a word, he knew Laurence took Monica very seriously, but he probably didn't take it too seriously.
But in the next moment, the man's stern voice came from the phone, with a bit of transoceanic chill: "You two, go stand outside until the rain stops."
Kevin gave Oliver a wink, and the two had no objection, and immediately went outside to stand in the rain.
The cold rain slid down his face, and Kevin thought about it expressionlessly.
Running so fast in such cold and heavy rain, Ms. Moore is indeed an invincible wonder just like the boss.
At the Moore's old house.
Hale was standing in front of Master Henry, reporting something with his head down.
Master Henry asked him questions from time to time, and Hale answered step by step. After talking about the company's business, the two talked about a piece of land that the Moore Family and the the Dean Family that is rapidly rising were competing for recently.
Talking about this piece of land, Hale's face was a bit sad: "At the Brown Family's birthday banquet, I saw people from the Dean Family talking with Chairman Churchill in full swing. I'm worried..."
Master Henry glanced at his eldest son indifferently, and Hale immediately Brownt up.
Master Henry looked at him, and felt that Hale was present everywhere, but he liked to worry too much, and he was a little hesitant in doing things.
However, he had to guard against what he said. If Chairman Churchill really liked the Dean Family more, the land might not be taken down.
The Moore Family put all their family's treasures on this piece of land, and they put a lot of thought into this land for development, and of course, they spent a lot of money.
The light in Master Henry's eyes flickered slightly, and he asked, "What happened to the Brown Family's birthday banquet?"
It was an invitation he begged out of his old face, and he gave it to Hale because of the relationship between Hilary and the Brown Family, which made Jon and the others envious.
Hearing the old man's question, Hale's eyes flickered with hesitation. Now he began to wonder if what he saw yesterday was actually Monica. After all, she has no background, and now her relationship with the Moore Family is also concealed. How can she get to know Mr. Brown? What a high courtesy she got from the man?
But Hale still said, "Dad, I saw Monica at the Brown Family's birthday banquet yesterday."
Master Henry was slightly taken aback when he heard this remark: "Monica? How could she go there?"
Hale was also very puzzled, and he replied: "Dad, not only did he go, but Mr. Brown personally invited her in, to sit with the most prestigious families in the audience, but she didn't know how to cherish it at all, so just stayed for a minute and left!"
Thinking of this, a trace of unwillingness flashed across Hale's eyes.
He didn't expect Monica to be able to get in touch with those big shots!
Master Henry's face was full of surprise after hearing what he said. His granddaughter, who had just recognized her ancestors, didn't care if she knew Mr. Willimas, but also knew people from the Brown Family, which really surprised him.
But thinking of Monica's bad grades at scholl, the old man's face became a little gloomy.
Monica didn't study hard, and she went so far as to butter up those big shots?
But after thinking about it, if even Mr. Brown gave Monica this kind of treatment, would it be because he thought Monica too badly?
