Chapter 73 Monica Was So Strong!
It was the weekend. Monica woke up to jog in the morning, and saw both Sean and Winston were waiting for her.
When she came down, both smiled honestly. Sean started first, 'Monica, last time Winston laughed at me that I couldn't catch you up at running. Since it's the weekend, I would like him to have a taste of it."
'Okay." Monica curled up her lips. 'Then be sure to catch up."
'No worries. I am sure I will catch you up." Winston smiled proudly. Although he wasn't an athlete at school, he frequented gyms several times a week. He was strong enough to catch up.
But his confidence evaporated just a few minutes after they started.
Seeing her back was further and further, Winston looked at Sean in shock, 'My God, how can she run so fast?"
Was it really called morning exercise for her? Was this the racing competition?
'Now you know I didn't lie! She is simply too strong!" Sean replied with admiration in his eyes.
Winston looked at the front in awe and tried to catch up again with all his efforts.
After they finished jogging and back home it was half an hour later.
Sean and Winston were completely exhausted, but Monica even didn't pant, which was completely unbelievable to the twin brothers.
They stretched a bit in the yard and then went into the living room.
When they came in, they saw Anne was coming downstairs. When she saw Monica went for morning exercise with twin brothers, cynical look flashed in her eyes and then immediately replaced with warm smile, 'Monica, did you go for morning exercise with brothers? Can you catch up with them?"
Sean and Winston were energetic. She used to do morning exercise with them before but she couldn't keep up with them so that she had to give it up.
'You ask them by yourself." Monica rolled her eyes to her faintly and passed her over.
Normally Winston was kind to Anne, but thinking of how she helped Annette yesterday at the old mansion, he didn't look at her but kept her head up and left, without being friendly to her at all.
Even Sean who was usually nice to her replied briefly, 'It were us who didn't keep up with her."
'How come? Sean, you are the basketball player." Anne was surprised. The country girl could keep the brothers lagging behind?
'What can we do? She is too strong, not just at MO contest, but also the sports."
Sean said with intended pride and then went to the fridge for water. It seemed that he could only remember Monica who was good at everything, but had no time to talk to Anne.
How could she bear such cold-shoulder treatment? She wanted to throw the purse in her hand onto the floor but she noticed the servant was looking at her and so that she put on the fake gracious expression as if she didn't care at all, smiling, 'Yes, Monica is really good."
Last night she didn't expect that she could turn the case of a zero to her advantage!
The more she thought of it, the angrier she became, but she couldn't vent it out but kept the anger to herself, so that she even had no interest in going out but returning to her room.
A country girl! Why did she get so much attention in the family!
Even Sean and Winston could only see Monica, but not her!
There were like to fans following her behind, like two idiots!
Several times of sabotage, she still couldn't defeat her, but instead let her gain more popularity, at which Anne got more and more angry. She couldn't take it any longer but smashed things on the floor at her own room.
Fortunately, there was thick carpet in the room so that nobody outside could hear. Otherwise, someone would certainly come to check.
She was lying in bed, upset, 'Annette was such a fool, maybe I should start with Ashley for next step..."
At least, Ashley was cleverer and wouldn't endanger her!
Curling up her lips coldly, she took out the phone and sent Ashley a message.
At the same time, Ashley's phone rang. She had a look at the brief words, which made her ecstatic.
'Tomorrow Eddie will be back."
Ashley replied to Anne with 'Thank you" and then lay in bed happily.
Thinking that Eddie would be back tomorrow, Ashley couldn't fall asleep. She hurried to the dressing cardboard to paring her outfit for the coming encounter with Eddie.
Gloria passed by her room to hear she was busy inside. She opened the door and extended half of her body in silk night gown in the room, complaining, 'What are you doing on the weekend? Where are you going, you look so pretty?"
Ashley paused at her words and then she turned to her mother, smiling, 'Mom, tomorrow Eddie will be back!"
When she said it, she was kind of shy and lowering her head.
She knew her mother was happy to know they were close.
As expected, Gloria was glowing to hear Eddie's name, 'Eddie William will be back? Then you should look nice for him. If you need anything, let me know, okay? Ashley, you are the most capable daughter in the family! Remember, you must get Eddie by all means!"
Then she hurried back to her room and came back with a splendidly shining diamond necklace, 'Here you are. Put it on when you have date with him. It costs more than 20 million dollars. Don't get it lost!"
Ashley took it over obediently, with sullen determination flashing in her eyes, and said to her mother gently, 'Don't worry, mom, I will take good care of it and won't lose it."
Gloria was fulfilled to hear what she said.
Ashley was the most reassured child since she was little. She raised her up following all the noble etiquette from behavior, how she dressed up and what to learn. She learnt music, chess, painting and even literature. Even though she got Ashley prepared for everything, when she told her that Eddie Williams was showing interests in her, she still had some doubts.
It was all because Williams Family was so prestigious that they could shake the whole city with just single hand. Comparing to them, Moore Family was just a small potato. If Eddie did like Ashley, Jon's status in the Moores would be more respectful!
As time went by, Gloria started to believe that Eddie did have interest in Ashley. After it was confirmed, she was so happy that she told her to take the chance in her hand tightly. She even gave her a lot of jewelers that she liked a lot.
The diamond necklace she gave to her just now was from dowry, and it was also the most expensive one in all of her jeweler. There wouldn't be a second one like in her possession.
She looked at Ashley kindly, 'Watch your image at school to ensure Eddie to have his eyes always on you."
'Okay." Ashley nodded and continued with trying on clothes.
Gloria helped her too to pair the accessories like bags and so on.
Monica couldn't wait to leave for school after being at home on Saturday. There were too many noisy servants which had impact on her study of the contest questions. She was a bit lagging behind with low performance too.
Then she told her parents that she had to go back to school. They felt it was a pity but thinking that it was good for her study, they had to agree.
Finally, she was at school. There were quite some boarding students on campus, so that it was also crowded and noisy.
At that time, a bright blue motorbike parked along the road at the school gate. It looked so cool and shining.
There were a lot of girls around the motorbike, with admiration in their eyes for it, while saying, 'How lucky we are. Eddie will be back soon and now Daniel Moore is back too! How terrific it is!"
Daniel Moore? The name sounded familiar...
