Chapter 29 Champion of National Martial Arts!

Why?
She had been in this family for more than dozens of years, why was all her effort she made in vain?
Why did everyone become so nice to Monica as soon as she was back?
Hatred was like the waves stirring inside, but she tried to keep smile superficially.
'Anne, how come you are back so late?" Sean asked affectionately without giving it too much thought.
Anne felt better at his words. Only Sean cared about her.
When she thought of it, she kept her head up, 'I went to cafe and shopping with Ashley and Annette, so that I am back late. If I knew all my brothers would come, I would have come back earlier."
Monica sneered to herself, to see the way she tried hard to please Ashley and Annette, it didn't look like she would like to come back earlier.
'Come to eat." Nancy called her to join them.
But it sounded to Anne as if she was the only guest in this family.
They sat along the table with two on each side, but she was the only one that looked like superfluous.
She bit her lower lip and then sat next to Sean.
When they were having dinner, Sean talked about what happened at school. 'Michael, did you check the forum of senior section? Monica is given the title of new school beauty."
'Really?" Nancy was happy to hear it, with pleasure in her eyes, 'Monica becomes so famous in a few days at school?"
Winston nodded, 'Of course it is true. Mom, you don't know yet that Austin Waterman got upset only because Monica rejected his confession."
Nancy didn't know the details of the incident and then everything was clear to her. 'That's the reason. Austin did need someone to teach him a lesson."
How dare he flirt with her daughter? Someone needed to teach him how to behave.
When they talked about it, Anne interrupted immediately, 'Mom, although Austin was wrong, Monica shouldn't have been so straightforward. Principal Williams helped to solve it, but in future they would meet again, it would be really unpleasant."
It seemed that Anne was concerned about her, but it was also clear that she was blaming her too.
Monica put down her knife and fork, looking at her, 'It won't be. Austin came to my classroom today to apologize to me personally."
'Apologize?" Nancy was astonished, 'the grandson of the Watermans was ... always aggressive. He apologized to you?"
It made everyone at table shocked. But since nobody was in the same classroom with her, certainly they wouldn't know.
'Yeah, he apologized and even wanted me to be his boss. But I didn't agree." Monica sounded calm, as if she was talking about something concerning with somebody else.
'What did you say?"
'Austin wanted you to be his boss?" Even Sean and Winston had their eyes widely open to what they heard.
Austin, the school bully, who would always find troubles with others with his compliances every day. Surprisingly, he asked Monica to be his boss?
What had happened?
Anne was at Class 1. She didn't know Monica had such a limelight on her in Class 2.
She could only bite her lower lip. Originally, she wanted to undermine Moncia by talking about that incident, but she caught another brothers' attention again.
Sean showed his respect first, 'No wonder that he would ask you to be his boss. Your overarm throw was excellent yesterday!"
'Yes, Monica, did you learn martial arts?" Winston asked her out of curiosity.
Nancy never heard that Monica knew martial arts, so she couldn't help turning to her, 'Monica, did you learn it?"
Since everyone in the family was curious, Monica didn't lie, 'Yes, I got champion of martial arts at Grade 8 of junior high."
'Martial art champion?" Twin brothers were surprised and looked at each other, stunned.
When they were in Junior high, they knew only to play video games, but their sister got the champion.
Anne uttered enviously, 'It was easier to be champion in the countryside, wasn't it?"
Monica sneered with eyebrows up, 'I took National Martial Art Champion."
'Oh My God!" Sean turned his admiration to respect immediately. 'Monica, you are excellent! Can you teach me when you have time?"
Sean got completely hooked to Monica. The last one who cared about Anne was gone. Anne's look at Monica couldn't help getting more and more sullen.
Damn it! She was from countryside. Did she want to show it off to her?!
Monica saw her looks and then agreed to Sean deliberately, 'Sure, if you like, you can come to me any time."
Anne formed her hands into fists so tightly when she saw Monica was so complacent. Her fingernails were almost cutting into her flesh.
But nobody paid attention to her. Sean and Winston asked Monica about things on martial arts now and then. Nancy would express concern when she heard Monica got hurt. Michael was listening to Monica attentively, which helping her put food or soup in front of her.
Anne was expelled by them at table.
She had no appetite after a few bites and said, 'I go upstairs."
Unexpectedly, Sean uttered without even turning to her, 'Okay."
It made Anne every angrier. She stomped upstairs.
The table was filled with chitchats.
But Michael noticed Anne was unpleasant while she left.
He felt something went wrong when she was leaving.
