Chapter 21 To Be Expelled Today?
Nobody had the nerve to offend Waterman Family in Imperial Capital. It they did, it meant huge troubles without ending.
Anne gathered her courage to utter, 'Grandpa... Monica didn't mean it. She was new to school and didn't know who Austin was."
It sounded like she was defending Monica, but actually she meant Monica hit Austin first.
Monica was annoyed and about to say something. Jeffery started first, 'Dad, it's not Monica's fault. I have gone to the know the incident in and out. It was Austin Waterman who wanted to take advantage of Monica first. Do we really need to put up with such humiliation?"
Jeffery and Nancy sounded indignant, which made Gloria upset and sneered, 'Jeffery, no matter what, Austin is their grandson. It is very troublesome to offend him. I heard Austin announced to expel Monica." Gloria let out the bad news casually.
'Expel?" Master Henry frowned abruptly. Monica got invitation from the Principal just last night to study in Oxford, and today she would be expelled just because she offended Austin Waterman?
'Otherwise? Austin's father is one of the board members. Those students who had troubles with Austin before didn't end up well." Gloria continued to add inflammatory details, as if it had already been confirmed that Monica was to be expelled.
Anne stammered immediately while looking at Monica, 'Monica... If it happens, nobody can help you."
Monica frowned, 'I think I didn't ask for help."
Gloria took her words as she didn't realize her fault, and uttered immediately, 'Dad, look at her, she still didn't know what mistakes she made."
'What mistake did I make?" Monica asked, frowned, 'Does it mean because Waterman family is powerful, I should let him do anything to me. In this way, I won't make our family ashamed?"
Monica sounded articulating and powerful. Suddenly, it went quiet in the hall.
Master Henry seemed to be enlightened and his eyes suddenly brightened, 'You are right. Even though it's difficult to deal with it with the Watermans, we, Moore Family, should be taken advantage as they like to! What Monica did is correct!"
Unexpectedly, Master Henry was on Monica's side, which made Anne full of grudge, which was written all in her eyes.
Gloria was also heated up, 'Dad, you should know right from wrong. What benefit will it bring to us if we offend Waterman Family?"
Jon saw his wife got too excited, and tried to hint her by clearing his throat, 'Gloria, actually it is not that bad. To expel her is okay... Austin didn't know Monica is from Moore family. I think the Watermans won't find troubles with us."
Jeffery had got enough to see that couple sang in harmony so perfectly, he spoke, 'It seems that Jon and Gloria are only concerned that Monica would cause troubles to them, aren't they?"
It made them pale and green immediately. Jon was furiously, 'Jeffery, how could you say so? It isn't that we are worried about us only, it concerns our big family. Nobody would like to have anything to do with the Watermans who are simply rascals. What advantages can we get to offend them?"
'According to what uncle said, in order to not cause troubles for the Moores, no matter which child of ours got bullied by them, you wouldn't do anything. even if it was concerning Annette or Ashley" Monica took a glance at Jon and Gloria coldly.
Master Henry got a clearer picture of the whole case by then, 'I know you don't care because it has nothing to do with you! If Ashley was taken advantage, will you still pass the buck like this?"
'I..." Gloria wanted to say something, but she was dismayed by Master Henry.
Anne realized that nobody could hold Monica responsible now, so she rolled her eyes secretly at Monica. She did underestimate her eloquence.
Master Henry made decision soon, 'Monica didn't do anything wrong. If she was expelled, I will send her to a even better school. I can even send her to other countries to study if necessary. No matter what happens, she will receive best education!"
The boy from Hall Family was excellent, so that he wouldn't want to see his granddaughter was inferior to him.
Obviously, Master Henry treated her whole-heartedly. Monica smiled to him with appreciation, 'Don't worry, grandpa. I won't be expelled."
She sounded casual and calm, but persuasive too.
'Did the Principal contact you?" Master Henry thought she must have gotten some certainty from the Principal, since she looked cool.
'Not yet, but as soon as he has time, he will return my call." Monica took it for granted as if the Principal was reporting to her.
It sounded odd. Other family members couldn't help having doubts on their faces.
Anne's eyes could even spit fire if she could. Monica thought the Principal would listen to her?
When she was thinking to herself, the butler came up near Master Henry and whispered, 'Master, Principal Williams is on the phone."
'Principal Williams?" He called him unexpectedly. And Master Henry answered immediately.
Others looked at him immediately. As his hearing is impaired, so that he put it on the speaker.
'Principal Williams, what can I do for you?" Master Henry spoke immediately when the phone was connected.
The Principal sounded friendly on the other end. 'Mr. Moore, I heard Austin Waterman offended your granddaughter Monica, is she alright?"
'Offend"? Suddenly everyone had their eyes widely open when they heard that word.
According to social status, it should have been regarded that Monica offended Austin, but the Principal said, Austin offended Monica. So how high her social status was in the Principal's eyes?
