Chapter 17 A New One to be School Beauty
Calvin kept quiet immediately, same with Matt. Obviously, he didn't want to offend Max.
Max Vonti ranked also the last in every examination, but unfortunately, Vonti Family was extremely huge and powerful. Nobody dared to make fuss with Max at school, or his bigger brother Chandler who was studying at Grade 12.
Max had a brief look at Monica and then spoke coldly, 'Do you have any relationship with Ashley and Annette Moore?"
Monica raised her eyebrows slightly and took a look at Max, 'I don't know them. 'She sounded indifferent.
'See, I said they had no connection." Benedict rolled his eyes at Calvin.
'What a pity! If you are the relative of Ashley or Annette, our boss would take care of you." Calvin smirked like a ruffian.
Monica turned back already, 'I don't need anyone to take care of me."
To Max, it equaled to a slap in his face to be rejected like that.
'Chick, you are unappreciative, aren't you?" Benedict was also unpleased with her attitude towards Max, and then he stood up grumpily.
The people around were frightened already, but none dared to utter a sound.
'Enough." Max was not interested in bulling a female, although he felt offended. 'Since she didn't need our protection, if there is anything happening to her, nobody should help."
Max looked at Monica coldly, but she didn't look up even.
'Got it." Calvin and Benedict nodded. Grade 11 was under the protection of Max, but this chick was too arrogant to show appreciation. Then she shouldn't blame them if they don't protect her in future.
All felt relieved until the three left casually. Matt smiled and got more curious about Monica. 'Not bad. You are courageous enough to be dismissive of the Vontis."
Matt didn't like Max for a long time, but nobody dared to get confrontational with Vonti Family in Imperial Capital.
'Vonti Family? Are they famous?" Monica took out a book to read without looking up.
Matt took a brief look to know it was some foreign language he didn't understand.
'You even don't know Vonti Family? They are the Number 1 family in Imperial Capital." Matt couldn't stop talking about Vonti family, but it seemed that Monica didn't listen at all.
'However, I respect your courage. It is not good without their protection. There are a lot of conflicts between classes, no matter in the high school section or college section, and even quite some frictions between neighboring schools ..."
Monica had no interests in the conflicts or frictions. She felt her phone was vibrating, and then she answered.
Matt felt she was mysterious, so that he could only turn back to work on the exercise.
The call was a voice message. Probably it was the task she aimed for.
'So fast?" Monica felt a bit surprised. It took normally at least 3 days before, because of intensive competition, same with this task especially. But she got the notification today to inform that she got the task.
She pressed several buttons to confirm the acceptance despite of her doubts and then she switched off the phone.
However, she wouldn't know her location was disclosed on a computer screen not far away from her.
'Mr. Hall, we got her!" Even though it appeared for just a second, his assistant located her.
'Oxford in Imperial Capital?" Laurence was a bit surprised, expressed in his sullen eyes.
The one he was looking for was in Imperial Capital, and what was weirder was that ...he was hidden in a school.
'It... was odd. But we hacked into the reply system in Hunter Search. Her reply signal was indeed from that school." His assistant felt also unbelievable. How come he was in a school.
'It looks like that we want someone relating to Principal Williams." Laurence curled up his lips, pondering.
'But it is in the Principal's territory, we can't just send someone to look for him." The Principal wouldn't believe that there was a hunter in his school.
'No, we can't send people there." Laurence's eyes turned gloomy.
'Then how to find Darksong?" His assistant felt it was such a headache.
After a moment of silence, Laurence played with the coffee cup and said, 'Open a coffee shop opposite to the school."
'Coffee shop?" His assistant was puzzled about what his boss meant.
'Principal Williams didn't like others to wander around his territory, but he is still pleased that others open business there."
His assistant was enlightened suddenly, 'I got it!"
Then he left immediately. Laurence looked through the window.

Time flew fast and it was the lunch time. Monica went to the canteen. Matt and a gentle girl accompanied her.
'This is Suzie Thompson, the representative of Study Union." Matt introduced Suzie to her.
To such a gentle girl, Monica greeted also gently, 'Nice to meet you."
Suzie smiled, 'Nice to meet you. If you don't mind, we can go to the canteen together."
'Ok." Monica had a good impression on her, and agreed with curling lips.
Three of them were heading for the canteen. Matt was talkative along the way, and also very kind to show her how to get the meal card and how to get a good bargain with the right combination.
'Monica!" A warm greeting sounded suddenly. Monica turned back to see Sean was there.
She was not enthusiastic and rolled her eyes at Sean, which made him puzzled.
Winston understood her immediately and left with Sean quickly, 'Tone down. Don't let those fans disturb Monica."
Crisis lifted. Monica looked more pleasant.
'Monica... Do you know Sean?" Suzie was envious when she saw Sean was talking with Monica.
'I don't know him well." She got to know Sean just today. How could she know him well?
'Oh..." Suzie was puzzled. Really, she didn't know him well? But Sean looked excited to see her.
Monica got her food and sat together with Matt and Suzie.
'Is that the new girl? She is so good-looking, isn't she?"
'I think so. Class 2 published on the forum to state the school beauty would be changed."
'She does look better than the sisters..."
'Shush! The sisters arrived."
Everyone looked up immediately to see two pretty persons. Annette Moore from Class 1 at Grade 11 and Ashley Moore who just became the freshman at college!"
