Chapter 20 Big Mouth
Monica glanced at Annette and spoke calmly, 'No, I just taught a lesson to some student who didn't behave."
It wasn't a fight. If she was indeed engaged in a fight, Austin would have been in hospital now.
'Didn't behave?" Jeffery asked with a solemn face, 'did they bully you? If so, they should be taught a lesson."
Anne never thought the parents would spoil Monica so much, which made her envious. But she couldn't help speaking out, looking like she was concerned, 'Dad, although you are right, to fight is by all means bad, and ... the one she was fighting with was the precious grandson of Family Waterman..."
Annette agreed immediately, 'yes, it will be bad for our whole family, not just for Monica, to offend their grandson."
'Waterman?" Jefferey and Nancy paled immediately as soon as they heard this name.
Waterman family was the biggest new rich in Imperial Capital. They are not only extremely rich, but also full of rascals.
Nobody in Imperial Capital dared to offend them. But how come on her first day, Monica had a fight with him?
'Monica, is it true?" The agony was written on his face, but Jeffery was anxious to know better in order to find some solutions to protect Monica.
Monica looked at Ashely and Annette calmly. Big mouths liked to tell on others. they were so annoying.
But facing her parents' anxious face, she didn't want to lie.
'Yes, it is true."
Just three words made Jeffery and Nancy change their expressions completely.
'Jeffery, what should we do? Should we tell Dad first?" It had always been complicated when it came to Waterman Family. They should get prepared in case they came for troubles.
'I don't know if it is good or..." Jeffery thought it would be better not to disturb his father as he was old already, but the Waterman family was a pain in the neck.
Anne interrupted at the right time, 'Dad, Mom, I think it won't disturb grandpa."
They all turned to Anne, as if they found the anchor point, 'why?"
Anne continued immediately, 'It was the first day for Monica. It seemed that Austin didn't know Monica was your daughter, so the notice on the forum just mentioned that Monica would be expelled, but they didn't mention our family name."
She seemed anxious, but inside she was taking pleasure out of it.
Just the first day at school, this country girl would be dismissed. She even couldn't wait that Austin could expel her immediately.
'Expel?" When Nancy her this word, she was more depressed.
It took a lot of effort yesterday in order to get her in Oxford, but today she would be expelled?
Watching these three women cooperated so well to announce the bad new one after the other, Monica couldn't stand it anymore, 'Dad, Mom, don't worry, I won't be expelled."
Annette snorted at her bravery, 'It doesn't depend on you. Everybody knows the Waterman family is the board member at school. To expel you is the least punishment for you after you offended their grandson."
'Annette, don't say so." Ashley stopped her gently and came closer to Monica, 'Monica, Annette is straightforward, please don't blame her. But what she said is also the truth. It is the best result that it didn't incriminate the whole family. So, if you are expelled from the school, don't be upset..."
It sounded like a comfort, but Monica could taste her pleasure out of her misery.
'Don't worry, I won't feel bad because I won't be dismissed." Monica was so certain that Annette and Ashley felt somehow stuck.
Anne was also annoyed, but she continued to pretend to be concerned, 'Monica, I know you met the Principal once, but Waterman Family is really powerful, I think the Principal himself won't like to get involved. I am afraid the chance for you to continue your study is thinning out."
Monica gazed at Anne, 'Do you want me to be dismissed?"
Suddenly both Jeffery and Nancy turned to look at Anne.
'No... no, how could I have such a thought?" Anne hurried to shake her head to deny, 'I am only concerned about you..."
Monica took a glance at her, senselessly, 'Since you can't help, then stop your so-called concern."
'Monica..." Anne pretended to be innocent immediately with tears in her eyes after she was scolded.
Annette was unpleasant to see how Anne was treated, as Anne was always friendly to them each time they met although they had no desire to get closer to anyone from their fourth uncle. Monica was simply too arrogant.
'Anne was just concerned about you; you should be so inappreciative." Annette frowned and tried to protect Anne.
Ashley frowned slightly as she felt Annette was taken advantage somehow.
'Okay, Annette, we are not in any position to say so. After all, Monica should know better as it is related to her." Ashley continued at the right time, 'Auntie, we are here to deliver the gift, since you got it already, we are heading off now. We will come to visit some other day."
'Okay..." Nancy sent them off, a bit depressed.
Anne had no compliance, and turned to her parents, red-eyed, 'Mom, Since Monica didn't want me to say anything about the issue, then I go upstairs..."
'Anne..." Nancy felt sorry to see Anne's sadness.
Jeffery calmed down instead, 'Don't worry about Anne. We should think about how to deal with the issue."
Nancy came back to her senses and turned to Monica.
She took a deep breath. Although it was such a pity, she still consoled her, 'Monica, it doesn't matter. Even though you may leave Oxford, Dad and Mom will try out best to let you go to a good school. don't worry."
Monica had a warm feeling in her heart at what her mom said.
Compared to the happiness others felt over her sorrow, her parents were really kind to her to let her feel at home.
'Thank you, Mom." Although she didn't need her worries or concerns, she was still grateful for their concern.
'It will be okay. Don't take it seriously."
Her parents didn't want to give her too much pressure, so that they didn't continue the topic.
But it seemed that they still hope that Monica could stay at Oxford.
So, after dinner, they went to Master Henry's mansion with Monica. This time, Anne came alone with the excuse that she was also concerned.
But to their surprise, when they arrived, they found that Jon and Gloria were there too.
Master Henry was also surprised to see them, then asked, puzzled, 'didn't you come yesterday? How come you came again today?
Gloria didn't try to pretend but went straightforward, 'I heard their daughter Monica caused a big trouble at school today, so that I wanted to keep you informed. But I didn't know Jeffery and Nancy came too."
Yesterday she didn't agree that a country girl to study in Oxford. Now it got even worse that she caused such a big trouble for Moore Family just on her first day at school. Of course, she would tell Master Henry!
Nancy abhorred Gloria for her stirring things up, and said sullenly, 'Monica didn't cause trouble, it was Austin Waterman who did behave first."
'Waterman?" Master Henry frowned, 'Did Monica have conflicts with Austin?"
