Chapter NINETEEN

It felt nice taking a shower without anyone rushing me,I took my time to wash my hair as well.
I let my curly brown looks drop to my shoulders,the sleek low bun was taking its toll on my hairline.
After the both of us got dressed,we went to look for something to eat. We didn't have to wait for lunch anymore if we arrived late for breakfast.
We were getting envious and nasty looks from everyone else but Jill and I just ignored them.
When we went outside we found Roman waiting by the car. "Syrus said I should take you ladies to get whatever you need",he said.
Jill and I excitedly looked at each other and squealed, after coming here for so long she was finally leaving the house. I felt a scorching gaze on me and looked up to see Tatiana standing by the balcony, looking down at me ,I smirked at her and got into the car. It was just a matter of time and Syrus was going to get rid of her and break off the engagement.
Syrus must be really rich ,I know he is but I keep on getting surprised each time. We drove out of the Estate and headed to the town.
"Sorry I believe you're in the wrong store",a voice as soon as we entered a clothing store.
A tall blonde woman walked up to us with a smile on her face.I could tell she is a wolf because they carry around them just a different air, something that will make you question your confidence and image.
"Why don't you girls try the store down the street",she suggested.
I know this type of attitude,I could see the impatience in her haughty eyes.
"What? You think we can't afford this store",I ask .
" You have me all wrong dear,we do not serve your kind,you understand what I mean right? Especially someone that only warms the bed of the Alpha",she taunted me .
I wasn't going to let her aggravate me "I'm his mate no matter what you or the person that sent you says, no matter what!".
" Mate? A filthy thing like you ? He hasn't even marked you because he knows he can never have a human stand besides him, you're just his plaything, something he'll get rid of once his tired".
" I'd watch what I said if I were you!", Jill yelled.
" Do we have a problem?",Roman who just walked in says. " The girl and her friend get to get whatever she wants,I know this store belongs to Tatiana but these are the Alpha's orders",he says.
I knew that this had Tatiana spelt all over it,I didn't want to stay after that horrible experience but it felt to have her personally attend to me after all the venom she spat.
We did end up getting a look of new clothes and I was excited we went to the hair salon and I got braids,we had so much fun.
"Tell me about your mother",Jill said as we waited for our food in a restaurant "you don't have to,if you don't want to talk about her",
" She was the prettiest woman I've ever seen,she had beautiful dark skin,I always thought she was made out of chocolate,I wanted to be so much like her ,she always told me I was like a milk chocolate . My dad said I looked like her a lot. That is why he hated seeing my face so much,she always took care of me and my brother,she would comb my hair and read me stories. She always liked dressing up in nice fancy clothes and shoes. But when my dad lost his job he couldn't buy her the things she liked then the fights started until she finally left with my dad's friend.I begged her to take me with her but she left me and my brother. After she left me and Ty took care of each other but even he left me".
" I guess we both have something in common",she awkwardly laughed.
Roman was quite this whole time and just scrolled through his phone until the food arrived.
I looked out the window and someone standing across the street caught my eye,I was so shocked I dropped the glass in my hand she was dressed casually in jeans a t-shirt and stilettos, it's been so long but I'd recognize that face anywhere, seeing that she caught my attention,she smiled and walked away.
"Mom!",I yelled and ran out of the restaurant.
I ran down the street and she turned and saw her turning round a corner.I didn't care that people were looking at me like I'm crazy ,I just wanted to catch up to her.
I turned round the corner she did but didn't see her anywhere.
"No please, Mom!"I sobbed "don't abandon me again",I whispered.
"What happened?"Jill hugged me.
" My mother! Jill I saw my mother! Then she just disappeared!",I sobbed in her arms.
" Where?! ",Roman questioned grabbing my shoulders.
" I don't know,one moment she was there and then another she disappeared".
We drove in silence all the way back to the house and I couldn't stop thinking about her. After so many years I've finally seen her again but I didn't get a chance to speak to her. The night she left played over and over in my head,she combed my hair, put me to bed and told me a story before kissing my forehead and I saw her get into a car through the window of my bedroom.
Syrus was called back to the house and everyone was busy,I heard him order searches and an increase in security around the house.
He didn't send for me that night making me restless, I stayed up all night wondering if this changed anything between us.
