Chapter TWENTY

"Come with me to London", Syrus said as I lay in his arms naked.
" Are you serious?",I turned to him in excitement. It's been two days since I saw my mother, searched the entire town and didn't find her. It was like she disappeared into thin air. Roman and Collin questioned me so much that night that I also started to doubt if I saw her.
" Yes I want you to come with me",he said, kissing me. I was more than elated,
"But I don't have a passport",
"Don't worry it's already taken care of, little one",he says and kisses me.
" I don't like it when you call me that"
"It's because you're so short",he chuckles. This is the first time I've heard him laugh, I didn't like what Tatiana said as long as he didn't push me away and let me stay close to him. This is enough for me,I just don't want him to leave me.
The next morning Syrus went to get some things done and I went back to my room and began packing my suitcase.
"So you're going with him to London?",Jill asks.
" Yes ",I squealed and hugged her.
"I don't know Eden ,are you sure about you and the Alpha? Has he said anything about marking you?",
" No and I don't want to ask him, lest he thinks of me as annoying and rejects me ,he is going to slowly accept me ",I say.
" Oh my friend, I'm just worried,I don't want you crying again",she said and hugged me.
After packing I got ready and went downstairs. When I entered the living room I found Tatiana with her hands wrapped around Syrus, talking to him with a smile on her face.
"Keep it together Eden, don't make him mad or he will leave",I whispered to myself over and over again until they acknowledged my presence.
"So don't forget we'll have to go to the elder's counsel to officialize our engagement then have our mating ceremony",she said loud enough for everyone to hear clearly.
Mating ceremony? Was Syrus planning to mark her , because the whole reason for the ceremony is so that all members of the park can witness mates marking each other,plus Syrus is pure blood so the mating ceremony is going to be something big.
Syrus didn't say anything and just looked at me "Take her to the car",he said to Collin.
I really wanted to ask if he was really going to mark Tatiana but I just kept my mouth shut and nervously fondled my fingers.
I got into the passenger seat of the car and put on my seatbelt waiting patiently for him.
"Don't think so much about it",he said, caressing my chin as he drived I didn't even realize I was biting on my lip so hard.
"At some point I'll have to take my father's place at the council of elders, everyone in the Vanclavik family has a claim to the seat at the council of elders, Tatiana's father is one of the elders, so with their backing, my succession can not be challenged by other relatives of the Vanclavik family",he explains.
" I understand",I smile. He looks stressed and I don't want to add on to that,I wanted to give him.peace of mind ,I wanted him to find comfort in me so he can keep me closer to him.
We reached the hangar and I couldn't contain my excitement at the sight of the private jet.
"Enough or you'll fall", Syrus reprimanded me with a smile on his face.
If only he knew,this was my first time on a private jet,of course I'd be excited. I could see the judgemental looks I was getting from the people handling our luggage and the air hostess that came to welcome us. But I didn't care ,I was going to enjoy this moment. Who knows when next I'd have such an opportunity.
