Chapter TWENTY SEVEN

I heard the doorbell ring as I was preparing breakfast for us in the kitchen.
"I'll see who it is ", Syrus who just woke up says and walks to the door.
He walked back in with shopping bags from the jewelry store I went to yesterday.
"They said you forgot to take these with you when you went shopping yesterday",he says and puts everything on the counter.The jewelry store. I forgot about what happened.
"I have to meet up with Michael and Floyd to discuss a few things,make sure to pack everything we are leaving at noon",he says and grabbing a handful of beckon and putting it on a napkin, I hand him a paper bag instead and he walks out, if there is one thing I've learnt after leaving with wolves is that they like meat a lot so I made sure to prepare plenty of beckon.
I open the bags and look at the items inside, I didn't pay for them so why would they send them saying I forgot to take them. Inside one of them was a note.
We need to talk please. It said and it also had an address on it.
After debating on whether to meet up with Ty I finally decided to go and meet with him. He is still my brother after all.
"I'm glad you came", he said and stood up when he saw me giving a hug which I reluctantly reciprocated.
" You look amazed. You look just like mom" he said.
He ordered two cups of coffee and a blueberry muffin for me. When we were younger I adored the blueberry muffins our neighbor used to make.
" I just want to say that I'm sorry,but I had no other choice, Eden the streets are a dangerous place. There were times I went without food,had no place to sleep,I knew it was going to be rough. I didn't want that life for you,I tried looking for you but you moved from our old house and dad is really good with covering his traces".
" It was hard for me when you left, he'd beat me whenever he was drunk ,still the little money I made when I worked,I couldn't leave because I had no place to go ",
" I know it was tough and I'm really sorry,I should have looked for you harder",he says and holds my hand in his warm ones and I just break down.
"Come with me,I know the reason dad used to make us move was because he was hiding from the werewolf council",he says, making me look at him in disbelief. Does he know about them too?
"I know they are the ones that took you guys. Who knew his love for gambling would be what would get him caught",he laughed "Come with me Eden,you don't have to be afraid anymore",
" I can't",I say and shake my head. I'm happy to see him but the thought of leaving Syrus sounds devastating,I can't do it.
"But how do you know about them?",I ask .
"It doesn't matter,why don't you want to come with me? Is it because of one of the Alphas, Syrus?", He asks.
" Yes",
" He is engaged to Tatiana Ramos! Heis just using you, that is how these beasts are, they don't like humans but enjoy using them as tools of fun and pleasure", he snared,I could hear the anger in his voice and get the feeling he despises wolves.
" He is not like that and he is going to take care of the issue with Tatiana, he is my..",I say but before I could finish the ringing of his phone interrupts us.
"It's fine as long as you're happy,but here is my card you can call me when you change your mind and see them for who they really are",he says and gets up giving me a kiss " I have to go but I promise to come and find you",he says and walks out,I had so many questions but looking at the time I had to go back to the apartment and pack our suitcases.
I looked at the card in my hands and shoved it into the pocket of my cardigan.
