Chapter TWENTY TWO

I don't know what time I had slept,but I woke up at midday with a tray of cold breakfast next to me. Syrus didn't come back last night maybe he slept in a different room.
I got up and had the cold breakfast,I then took a shower,I didn't how long we were staying but I unpacked both Syrus' and my clothes and arranged them.
I was scared to go out of the room but felt like I was going to die of boredom,so after much deliberation I decided to go back through the hidden door.
I locked the door and blocked it with a chair, then I went back in, the room where I found Floyd and Nidia last night was empty to my relief because it felt like I was discovered by Floyd .I continued on my way and found myself in the kitchen,I listened in on their gossip about me, about Syrus and Nidia.
Nidia and Sarai are sisters and both of them are in love with Syrus,Nidia despite having a mate . I also learnt that Floyd wanted to compete for the seat at the council because being a Vanclavik he had a right.
I kept walking until the tunnel became smaller and smaller until I had to crouch down ,I came across an small trap door peeking inside the keyhole I couldn't see anything,I tried pushing it open but the little door was seal tight,I leaned back and kicked it a few times before it finally opened.
The inside was dark and cold so I took out the flash light I found and turned it on illuminating the mausoleum. The room was in a circular shape and had stairs that spiraled descending down into the darkness.
And because I'm the curious kind I went down the stairs until I found a tomb covered by a marble effigy of a man with some writings on it that I didn't understand. Something glinting from the flash light caught my eye,a golden necklace with a round pendant that had an engraving of a wolf facing the moon.
I grabbed the necklace and put it in my pocket. No one was going to notice it was gone , besides it seems no one even came down here.
"Please don't get angry,you don't need it now that you're dead",I whisper. After exploring some more I leave after not finding anything interesting.
