Chapter TWENTY EIGHT

I woke up to an empty side of the bed ,we arrived really late couldn't he at least sleep a little bit more ? It would have been nice waking up next to him again.
I took a shower and started getting ready to go downstairs and make my own breakfast because I knew nobody here was going to bring me breakfast. Looking at the unpacked suitcases I got excited to show Jill all the things I got her ,I went with one suitcase and came back with three more,I still feel bad about spending a lot of money that wasn't mine and apologized to Syrus but he said he didn't care much and I could buy whatever I liked.
We arrived really late at night and found everyone sleeping,so I didn't get to see Jill. Seeing the cardigan I wore I searched in it's pockets but couldn't find Ty's card,it must have fallen somewhere I didn't panic because I've always been good at memorizing things,I haven't spoken to Syrus about meeting him because I want to first find out the reason my brother hates werewolves so much.
After getting ready I heard a slight knock at the door so I went and opened it.
"The Alpha gave orders to deliver breakfast to you before he left", the wolf at the door says holding a tray,I could see it took everything in him to stand here and bring food to me,a human.
I smiled and received the tray from him "thank you",I say but got an eye roll in return.
It didn't bother me ,they will have to get used to me , because I may one day become Luna, that's what they call the mate of the Alpha.
The breakfast was delicious and decent. I was expecting something shabbily prepared, Syrus must have put much emphasis on it.
After finishing my breakfast I took the tray and walked out of the room with the tray in my hands intending to take it down to the kitchen.
I was closing the door when the door to Collin's room opened and Jill and Colin stepped out,he whispered something in her ear making her giggle and giving her a kiss,they seemed not to see me but when did these two become a thing.
They looked like they were not going to stop the kiss anytime soon, Collin is a wolf he must have noticed my presence by now but intentionally ignored me standing behind them.
It was becoming awkward so I cleared my throat to grab their attention.
"Eden! When did you get here?! And you straighten your hair!", Jill exclaimed as her cheeks blushed red.
"Thought I'd try something different",she once suggested straightening my hair and I shut her down completely.
"Hi Eden", Collin said and smiled, I've never seen him smile before it caught me off guard and I blushed too. Collin is always serious but he is a handsome man they type to sweep you off your feet but his serious demeanor is like a repellent that would make you stay away and admire him from a distance.
"Since when were the two of you together?", I asked, examining the hickeys he covered her with.
"" Stop it you're making me feel embarrassed",she slapped away my hand that was prying at her shirt trying to see if her chest had hickeys too. "I've always liked him, and resented him at the same time"
" Why ? What did he do?",
" He didn't stop a wolf that came to visit from harassing me",she angrily says " but the Alpha came and saved me in time, more like told the wolf it was the time or the place but it saved me either way",she and takes a bite from the sandwich I made her.
" You like him very much?", I ask.
"Yes",she nodded her head " he is going to take me as his chosen mate since his mate died", she shyly says. I feel a tinge of jealousy, he is willing to accept her and take her as his mate but she is my friend and I'm happy for her.
"So how many times have you two done it? You waited for Syrus and I to leave so you'd be free to do whatever you want huh? ",I teased her.
" Eden, respect yourself",she liked me and looked around us. I laughed at how red she became.
I decided to stop teasing her otherwise she might permanently turn red so I let her also eat in peace so I can go and show her all the things I bought for her.
After she finished we headed up stairs and bumped into Tatiana with some other lady next to her. As usual Tatiana gracefully smiled at us and the other lady glared at us instead. "You need to take care of the rat problem, Tati",she sneered, making Tatiana chuckle.
" Let's go Eden, let's not waste our time",Jill rolled her eyes earning a warning growl from the lady.
We went to Syrus' room and spent the rest of the day trying on clothes and shoes.
