Chapter THIRTY NINE

I told the man to leave me at the address my brother had given me.I got out of the car despite him offering to get me to a hospital instead because I was starting to bleed through the hospital gown I wore.
I felt myself lose strength,but I got out of the car and walked down the alley in front of me.
It's the worst pain imaginable, despite it all I had hoped for us, that I could change his heart towards me, that there was space inside his heart enough for me to plant the seed of love and let it grow .
Tyrone appeared at the ended of the alley and within seconds he held me in his arms,
"What did they do to you, Eden?",he asked.
i was just so tired so after falling into the arms that I knew would protect me I finally closed my eyes which was something I wanted to do for a long time since I left .
I slowly opened my eyes with difficulty because of the light in the room. But after finally managing I found myself in a hospital bed with my hand in a shoulder strap.
"You're awake I'll let the doctor know", a nurse said and rushed out.
After a few minutes a man in a lab coat that I assume to be the doctor walks in.
"Eden I'm glad you are awake",he says, flashing a little torch in my eyes.
"Where am I ",I hoarsely ask "where's Ty?".
" You brother has been notified, please don't worry" he said with a smile on his face. He looked to be in his mid forties,the lines on his face that have deepened with age make him handsome still makes me wonder how he looked when he was young. There were gray hairs beginning to show on his temples,the man is like aged fine wine ,he had his own charm that oozed gentlemanliness, the type that gives roses to women after complimenting him,his English accent made it even better.
I realized that I was staring at him and I apologized. "It's okay",he says and gives me some warm water.
"How long have I been here?",I ask to relieve my awkwardness.
" Two weeks, you've been unconscious for two weeks, we had to put you in a medically induced coma because when Tyrone brought you here you were going into shock",he explains and adjusts the bed for me.
The door opens and Tyrone walks in "thank goodness you're fine I was beginning to think you would never wake up",he says and gently pulls me into his arms.
" I want you to meet someone, '' he says. And the door opens again and my mother and a man whose face was covered in a prosthetic mask.
It was like that day when I saw her across the street from the restaurant. She hasn't aged a day since I saw her walk away,tears welled up in my eyes and I began sobbing.
"Oh no honey don't cry",she rushed to my side.
I don't know how long I cried in her arms,but I cried for all the grievances I suffered after she left.
"Why did you leave me? Didn't you ever think about how I'd feel growing up knowing my mother and brother abandoned me?",I asked looking at both of them.
" I wanted to take you but it was too dangerous,''she says.
" Wanted. but you didn't,you left me", I sadly smiled.
"And your mother hasn't stopped thinking about you", the man in the mask says.
" And who are you to say anything!",I snapped.
" I came back after I found mom but Daniel is clever,he moved you away. He didn't leave any trace behind not even your scent".
" Scent? What are you talking about Ty?"
" Daniel is not our Dad, Eden . Cain is",he says and looks at the man in the mask.
"Cain?", I ask with shock written over my face.
" Yes honey", Cain says and tries to touch me but I flinch away from him.
"I told you she'd be scared of me", he says, turning to my mother.
" It's not like that sweetie,she just needs time, right Eden?",
"You're the one who is turning the wolves rogue",I say and look at him in shock. I was starting to feel coming here wasn't such a good idea after all. What did my brother and mother have to do with this wanted criminal?
"I will explain to you later", my brother says
" I want to know right now!", I demand.
